~LIAM'S POV~

I looked at the boys nervously.

Me: Are you sure?
Niall: Of course! You love her don't you?
Me: More than anything. I can't imagine my life without her...

I trailed off. Just thinking about her made me smile like an idiot.

Louis: Look at that smile on your face! You can't deny that!
Me: I know. I guess I just feel like its so sudden.
Zayn: If you don't, you might lose her again.
Harry: Yeah she flies back to America with Big Time Rush in a week and a half.

I thought about his words. He was right. I couldn't deal with the pain of losing her again. I would do anything to keep her by my side forever.

I looked at the little box in my hand. Strange how something so little could mean so much and change everything. I slipped it into my pocket.

Me: Ok boys, lets do this!

They cheered and went to get ready.

~SHAY'S POV~

Me: Ok I'll be ready in 30 minutes.

I said goodbye and hung up the phone. Liam said that he wanted to take me on a date tonight. I was excited! Any time that I got to spend with Liam was wonderful.

I started getting ready. He told me that we were going someplace nice so I searched my closet for something to wear. I ended up picking a pink lace dress and some classic black heels.

After putting in my last earring, I looked in the mirror: not too shabby. I slipped my feet into my heels and checked the clock. Just in time. I grabbed my phone when I heard the doorbell ring.

I opened the door to see one incredibly handsome face smiling back at me. I felt a smile overcome my face as I leaned forward to hug and kiss him.

Liam: Hey babe.
Me: Hello handsome.

We both chuckled a bit at our silliness.

Liam: Are you ready to go, love?
Me: Absolutely!

He held out his hand and I took it as we walked to his car. He opened my door for me and after I got in, he shut it and walked to the driver's side to get in.

Me: So where are we going tonight?
Liam: Someplace special.
Me: Oh really?
Liam: Really

He looked over at me with a cheeky smile, making me giggle a bit. I looked out at the road, feeling like I knew this route, but not fully able to place it.

Me: So where is this special place?
Liam: A surprise.
Me: Now you're getting all secretive on me?
Liam: Trust me, you'll love it.

With a seductive smile, he picked up my hand that he was holding and pressed against his lips. I relaxed a bit. He always made me melt when he did little things like that.

Presently, we pulled into a small parking lot. I know we are close to a beach, but that is about it. He grabbed my hand and we walked to a little cliff-like area, overlooking the ocean.

Me: This is beautiful, Liam!
Liam: I'm glad you like it.

Suddenly, I heard a noise that stole my attention from his perfect face. I whipped my head around to see the rest of One Direction not far from us. I looked at Liam questioningly.

Me: What is this?

He smiled mischeviously.

Liam: You'll see.

Niall, who had his guitar out, started playing a melody and was joined after a short while by Zayn singing.

Zayn: Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me, but bear this in mind, it was meant to be and I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks and it all makes sense to me.

Liam pulled me to face him as he began to sing his part.

Liam: I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile. You've never loved your stomach or your thighs, the dimples on your back at the bottom of your spine, but I'll love them endlessly.

I can't believe this is real life. I mean, he had sung to me before, but this is different. As the others began to sing again, Liam wrapped one hand around my waist and started to dance with me.

When Louis started singing, Zayn took Liam's place and danced with me. I ended up being passed through the guys, ending with Niall. The song ended and I looked around for Liam, but he was gone.

Niall saw my concern and pulled a note from his pocket. He handed it to me.

Niall: Love you.

He hugged me and kissed me on the forehead before walking away with the rest of the guys. I looked around one more time for Liam, but couldn't find him. I sighed as I looked at the note. This better be good.

Shay,
Remember when we first met? You came to Mullingar to spend the summer with Niall and his family. We were all itching to meet you and when we did, it was worth all of the excitement. I remember feeling a spark when we first shook hands and our eyes met. To this day, it hasn't gone away. Walk to the stairway that leads to the beach. You will find a sparkler and another note.
Liam

I looked around, but it didn't take long for me to find it. Just as the note said, there was a sparkler and another note tied together. I picked them up and opened the second letter.

Shay,
Remember when we first danced together? After the benefit concert, both of our dates were busy and fate brought us together. I remember getting this strange feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had never felt before you. Now I get it every time I look in your eyes and I love every moment. Walk to the bottom of the stairs and there is another note under a shell.
Liam

I followed the instructions and, sure enough, found the next one. I opened it quickly. There was another memory inside. The notes of memories continued as I walked down to and then alongside the beach.

The last note talked about the boys singing their brand new song "Little Things" to me and dancing with them. At the location of that note, there was a laptop set up with a video ready to play. The note said to push play, so I did.

It was a video that was made of the boys and Brooke and Rose and Melissa talking about what I meant to them. The video ended abruptly and I turned around at the sound of Liam's voice. I found him on one knee. There was a little black box in his hand that held a shiny little ring.

Liam: None of that compares to how I feel about you and what you mean to me.

I couldn't believe this. I started tearing up.

Liam: I am so amazingly blessed to have you in my life and I wouldn't trade anything that happened to us for the world, because that is what brought me here to you in this moment right now. You make my life brighter and happier every minute of every day. You make me laugh when I don't even feel like smiling and I can't imagine my life without you. I can't bear the thought of losing you again and I refuse to let you go. I love you, Shay. Will you marry me?

I couldn't speak, no matter how hard I tried. I nodded roughly as the tears finally fell from my eyes. I held my arms out and he got up to embrace me. He slipped the ring onto my left hand. It felt so perfect. Then, his lips met mine in the most passionate kiss we had ever shared.

His strong arms pressed my body against his. My hands pulled his head closer to mine as my fingers threaded through his short curls. He pulled away after a while and smiled at me.

With that he leaned back slightly and hollered "She said yes!" At that word, the One Direction boys, BTR boys and Brooke and Rose and Melissa all came running out to greet us, hollering. I could not believe this moment. Hugs and congratulations abounded. All of the girls were admiring my new ring.

As it turned out, Brooke had filmed the whole evening and Rose had taken lots of pictures. Everything was perfect! I couldn't imagine a better proposal. Liam is the best friend and soon to be husband I could ever ask for!

I looked down at the ring on my finger. It sparkled in the moonlight. I can't believe that I'm going to marry Liam and stay here in England! A real dream come true!
