Summary
19 year old Emma Coal is forced to cope with the death of both of her parents, as well as having to live with her abusive Aunt Josie as she also has to face the fact that she just doesn't fit in with the other girls that go to her University. All of her life, Emma has never gotten anything that she wanted without working for it, and half of the time she would work for it, but it would get taken away from her. When Emma's old roommate, Cora, is forced to switch dorms, destiny brings Elliot Nichols into her life. Elliot, often called El or Ella, forces Emma to get over her social anxiety and depression, and meet new friends. What happens when Emma can't handle her new life? Read to find out. El Calder ( Eleanor)
El is Louis' girlfriend. El is a part of Harry's gang. El and Perrie are best friends and have been for a while.Both girls are friends with Niall's girlfriend, Elliot, too, just not besties. The girls try to get along with Luna, but they find it hard because of her innocence. El is not afraid to fire a gun or rob a bank. The only positive influence in her life is Louis, therefore, she isn't afraid to put her life on the line.
Elliot Nichols( L, Elli ,Ella, ect.)
18, funny, hated but doesn't care. She ignores everyone and only goes to Uni because she cares about her future, despite her attitude. She becomes Emma's roomate and tries to help Em cope with herself and not hide all of her feelings and problems. Part of Harry's gang and friends with the girls.Dating Niall Horan.
Emma Coal
Lonely, depressed 19 year old girl. Emma goes to the University (college) and is always picked on for her appearance. She stays with her abusive stepmom, Lola, but live in the school dorms.

Emma's 10 year old little sister. Emma doesn't know that Jodie exists and Jodie is determined to find her older sister ,all on her own, to live and love.

Sexy 20 year old. Part of Harry's gang. Dating Luna. Friend of Elliot's.
Lola Jeminson
Emma's abusive step mother. Hates Emma and hits Emma. Lola blames Emma for all of her problems, and jugdes everything that Emma does, whether it's right or wrong. Lola hates Elliot and hates everyone except her soon-to-be husband and other step kids.
Louis Tomlinson
22, Dating El, part of Harry's gang, best friends with the guys;closest to Harry, Loves Eleanor, smart, funny, sassy, silly. Friends with the girls and Elli, also Luna too, but Louis feels that Luna is annoying and overprotective sometimes.
Luna Mitchel
Sweet and innocent 19 year old girl. She is dating Liam and loves him. All Luna wants is for Liam to be safe and happy. She is scared that Liam will one day get hurt because of Harry's gang. Luna doesn't have a bad side, just a fun side. She chooses to be fun and energetic, and loves to make people laugh. Luna brings out the good side in Liam. The side of him that he was almost sure was gone, Luna made as clear as day.
Niall Horan
20. Punk. Part of Harry's gang. Dating Elli but flirts a lot, Niall is smart and funny. He is friends with all of the boys and the girls, including Luna and El and Perrie.
Perrie Edwards
20. Zayn's girlfriend. Part of Harry's gang. Cool to be aroun. Funny. Down to earth.
Zayn Malik
20. Engaged Perrie. A part of Harry's gang. Zayn is funny and sweet, despite his rude appearance. Zayn is closest to Liam of all of the boys. He is friends with all of the girls including Luna and Elli.
