Remember When?

It was the week after Harry and Penny's wedding. Arabella is running around the house chasing Cosmo. She just turned 4 last month, August 11th. Her two little brothers are going to be two this October 17th. That was a rough pregnancy for Clary…I thought she was going to die. There were a lot of complications during birth. She wouldn't stop bleeding after the boys came out. She fainted and was whisked off to surgery. Leaving me with two babies and a three year old asking where her Mommy went. I thought I lost her. But she made it. After that I didn't want another kid…I didn't want to go through that again. But we found ourselves expecting again shortly after Valentine's day the next year. "Daddy! Look Jackie throwed the ball for Cosmo!"
"Yea he did huh princess?" She nodded then cuddled with Cosmo. I have to admit that dog is a champ, the twins constantly pull on his tail…but Clary trained him well. She's upstairs tending to our newest member, Kiara May Horan. Clary caved and let me name her the name I originally wanted the first time around. She is going to be a year old in December.
"I'm going to help Mommy with Kiara." I smile at Arabella.
"Okay princess…Mommy would love that."

The twins follow me outside. They are going to be killer football players. I know it. I roll them the ball and Jackson Richard, who is pretty much a spitting image of his namesake, Clary's dad: darker brown hair and those damned Wolffsson eyes, picks it up and runs around giggling. William Mason has his mother gentler features, the hair and skin, but he's got my eyes. Arabella is a mix of Clary and I. Her brown hair is curly like Clary's but my natural color. She's got Clary's deep green eyes. Kiara looks exactly like me though. Arabella adores Kiara.

Liam and Nicole have got two kids and they live down the road. Their son is a year and half younger than Arabella. And they just had another little boy. So they are pretty busy…but sometimes they come over for a playdate. But I'll tell you who Arabella has a little fixation with…Xander. Nothing I could do really. Perrie and Zayn love coming over, and Arabella loves playing football with Xander. They paint and everything…honestly I don't know what to make of it. He's very nice to her…for a 5 year old.

Clary comes out chasing Arabella, whose giggling and screaming. "No Mommy! Don't…no!" I smile while Clary gets Arabella and starts tickling her. The boys stop and run over they start to tickle Clary. "Oh no! Stop…no fair! You can't gang up on Mommy…Niall! Help me." I laugh then shake my head.
"No way…you know I'm ticklish." Then the boys run back to the football because that became more interesting than Clary fake laughing.
"Daddy! Throw." I laugh at William and throw it. They both run after it, Jackson kicked it towards the net but he missed. So then he started to cry. I get up and run over. "Hey buddy! Why the tears little man?"
"I missed-ed." He was pointing at the ball. I hug him, calming him down. Then 5 minutes later he's back running around the yard with his brother and sister.

Arabella shows them how to kick. "There…see like Daddy." Clary comes over and sits down on the ground next to me. Frankly I'm glad for everything that's happened to me because of her. "Hey there handsome."
"Hey there beautiful. Kiara is alright?" Clary leans on my shoulder.
"Oh yea…fell right asleep…honestly all babies should be like her." I laugh and wrap my arms around her waist. Cosmo jumped at the door, Clary got up and let him out to play. The kids adored that dog so much. He favors Arabella though…he sleeps in her room every night still.
"So when are we visiting Louis and Eleanor…for their wedding planning?" Louis finally proposed…only took him a million years.
"Oh that's next week. My grandma offered to watch the kids…" Antonina spoiled these kids rotten…said it was a perfect excuse to use her fortune.
"Great…you know…I'm sure Theo would love to see his cousins…" She laughs and kisses my cheek.
"Alright you win…have Greg and Denise watch them." I smile and shoot off a text to Greg.

Arabella comes running over and hugs Clary.
"Oh why thank you baby girl…Daddy wants one too." She smiles and hugs me.
"And a kiss." I tap my cheek but no kiss came.
"EW! Daddy no…boys have cooties." Clary just dies laughing and Arabella sits down watching Clary and trying to copy her. Cosmo is busy playing keep away from the twins. But eventually Arabella gets up and joins the fun again. Clary plays with my hands.
"When is tour again?" I sigh knowing that this will forever be a sore subject between us. Honestly I hated leaving…I loved being home with Clary and the kids. I hated leaving, because the twins cry and Arabella clings to Clary like I'm never going to come back.
"May. It's only until July though…so it's not that long…"
"Three months is long to them Niall…" I kiss her cheek and pull her into my chest.
"I know baby…it's long for me too…too long to be away from you and our lovely children." Clary scoffs.
"Yea lovely…I had to clean crayon off the walls from the twins yesterday while you were at the studio. But I know…I know it kills you to leave." I sigh and watch as Arabella helps William kick.

"Goodnight princess." I kiss Arabella's head and pull the covers up. I went through the usual routine, check her closet for monsters and under her bed, then sing her one of her favorite songs.
"Goodnight Daddy…Goodnight Mommy." Clary kisses her head. Arabella is the last kid to go to bed. She somehow negotiated an 8:30pm bedtime instead of 8. Don't ask me how…this happened while I was gone on last year's tour. We go up to bed and Clary stays up for a bit, painting. I watch her, like usual. She really is amazing. Arabella wants to be just like her mother. So Arabella has her own little corner in Clary's studio. It's adorable to see them both in there painting away. Arabella watches Clary and then tries to mimic her. Clary actually was very popular she had her own little gallery in London. It's a nice job since she can be home most of the time with the kids, occasionally she would have to travel but my mom is more than willing to watch the kids. They love traveling out to Mullingar, they get to see my mom and Clary's all at once. But they can be a handful when they want to be. Soon though it was time for us to hit the hay. We get ready and Clary comes to bed, still wearing my really old 'Crazy Mofos' shirt. "Remember when…we first met?" She looks at me and smiles.
"Remember when…you punched Nate because he danced with me?" Of course…hands down my smartest rash decision.
"Remember when…I first kissed you?" She crawls into bed. She touches my cheek and I still feel the same electricity after all these years.
"Remember when…we tried to keep our relationship a secret?" We both smile at that one. God we were so stupid.
"Remember when…I was a moron and let you go?" She smiles and holds my hand, playing with my fingers.
"Remember when…I thought being without you was the best for me?" Yea that was pretty stupid of her. But I don't know what would've happened if we didn't have that break.
"Remember when…I somehow convinced you to date me again?" She smiles and nods. Clearly a good persistence move on my part.
"Remember when…you said you loved me?" I nod…I remember every single 'I love you' I've said to this girl.
"Remember when…I thought I lost you because of a car crash." She tears up…we don't really talk about those months where I thought she was gone for good, where I thought my Clary would never come back to me. But she has the scars to prove it. Sometimes the kids ask about them...Clary just says she fought a dragon or something. She says what really happened is too gruesome for them right now...maybe when they are older.
"Remember when…you made me yours forever?" I smile fondly at the memory of our wedding. God it's hard to believe we've been married for almost 4 years. It will be 4 in a month.
"Remember when…you gave me all I could have ever wanted...this life I have with you." She hugs me and sniffles.
"I'll never forget Niall…I love you…I love our children…I don't even want to think if something went differently…even the car accident…I wouldn’t trade anything for this." I hug her back.
"I love you too Clarissa…and this is all I've ever wanted since I saw you bursting back into my life, one crazy moment after another…those are what led me here to this life with you. And you can bet that there will be many more crazy moments to come. But we can do it…together." She smiles and cuddles into me more.
"Together." I kiss her head then sing her to sleep, like I do almost every night. I think about every single thing that has happened since I've met Clary…and I wouldn't go back for anything…I've found myself in her and I know she's found herself in me. I smiled fondly at that fact that she remembered every detail of our past just as much as I did. I play with her curls but soon I fall asleep, holding the love of my life in my arms, and four wonderful children sleeping in their beds below.

I loved writing this epilogue...I thought it was soo cute...I hope you guys love it too. And I hope you loved the story as well!! And I hope you'll like the new one I'll post. :)
