Clary's POV
I'm at the doctors with Niall because he refuses to leave my side now that I'm past the first trimester. We started doing the baby classes…yea they are as stupid as they seem on TV. He's happy because today we are telling people. So all our family is coming over here for a celebration. My mom and grandma are staying an extra day though for Thanksgiving. Niall's side doesn't celebrate it since it's an American holiday. "Okay all looks fine and healthy." Niall and I are both staring at the screen watching our little miracle's heartbeat. I look at Niall and he's smiling, watching the screen. God this kid is going to be so lucky having Niall for a dad. "Next month we will hopefully be able to determine gender." I nod then she cleans off my belly from the ultrasound. Niall and I haven't really decided on baby names. We have a few but Niall doesn't like some of mine. We thank the doctor and head out. We get into the car and drive home. Everyone is coming over at about 2pm this afternoon. We get back and Cosmo comes over, he must've picked up on my being prego because he doesn’t jump on me. "Hi boy…are you going to be nice for everyone? Yea you are…whose my baby boy?" I kiss his head and pet him then I go to clean up a bit. I bend down to pick up a toy. "NO! Clary…I got it…go sit down I can clean up Cosmo's toys." I turn and look at him. I snatch the toy, throw it back onto the floor then I bend back down to pick up. I stand up and put it away. "I'm not even that pregnant yet!"
"Please…you're 3 months and two weeks! That's pregnant enough in my book!" I glare at him then stomp off towards the kitchen. I start getting ready for dinner when I feel hands around my waist. "I don't need help."
"I thought I was going to be the helpful, loving husband. Besides men who cook are seen as irresistable." I laugh and give in. I tell him what to do.
There is a knock so I go and get it. Cosmo sits on the stairs watching as my mom and grandma flow in. "Clarissa! How are you?"
"Fine mom…Come in! Here I can take your coats." I put them into the hall closet while Cosmo goes and befriends my mom and grandma. I go back to the kitchen and they follow. Cosmo sits right by Niall…because he's picked up on Niall spilling the most while cooking.
"So what are you two whipping up in here?" I look at my grandma and then slide the recipe over. She looks at it then back to me.
"Ah…American things. So tell me…when are you due?" I almost choke on my air I was breathing. Niall was just gaping at her. Then another knock sounded, "I got it." Niall kisses my cheek then goes to let his family in. Theo comes running in and hugs me. Then goes on to tell me about his most recent football game. Everyone piles in, then Denise squeals and runs over to hug me.
"OH my gosh! When are you due?" I open to answer but Niall speaks up.
"How can you even tell?" All the woman look at him like he's stupid. I smile and hug Denise back.
"August sometime…" All the girls surround me asking me about what gender I wanted.
Niall's POV
While the girls took over the kitchen, Greg, Theo, Cosmo and I went to the living room to watch some football. Greg looks at me every once and a while. "What Greg?"
"Nothing…just you're having kids kind of early…I mean you just turned 24 Niall." I move and look at him.
"So? You weren't any older when you had Theo." He nods then goes back to the game. Soon my mom comes in and sits down.
"If it is a girl…you have to use Clary's name idea. It is beautiful. Arabella Jade Horan…oh I just love it." I roll my eyes at her.
"What's wrong with my name?" My mom shakes her head.
"Nobody liked your name…Sorry honey. Dinner is ready…you boys wash up." Then she leaves. Seriously? Nobody liked mine? What was wrong with Kiara May? Nothing that's what. I go in and see Clary helping dish stuff. I sit down and she comes over sitting down next to me. Dinner with the families was great. Everyone was having fun…laughing and sharing stories.
All too soon they were filing out heading back home. Theo hugging Clary and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She kissed his cheek then my family gave me a big hug. My mom told me again that Clary's name would be perfect. Then her mom and grandma left to stay at the hotel up the road. Even though Clary and I both insisted that they could just stay here. I sit down beside her on the couch and cuddle. "So my mom said that all the girls liked your name?"
"Yep…I thought your mom was going to swoon at it. We still have like 6 months before we really need to decide…"
"If it's a girl we can name her Arabella Jade. But if it's a boy then it's Jackson Richard." She laughs then kisses me.
"Sounds like a fair trade. Is it bad that I just want to have it already…like I just want my baby." I laugh at her then kiss her lips, then kiss her belly.
"I'm sure she or he wants to meet us too. Isn't that right baby?...Daddy and Mommy can't wait to have you here with us." She smiles and moves to get up. I follow her slowly, then she turns to her studio. I just keep following. I watch for a few hours, then I decide to go to bed. I peck her cheek and she turns. "I'll be up shortly okay?"
"Sounds good. The painting is lovely." Clary smiles and then starts to rinse off her brushes and hands while I go up to our bedroom. Soon she was sleeping next to me, while I rubbed her growing bump. God I can't wait for this baby to come. He or she is going to be so loved.
I wake up to find Clary gone, then I hear the toilet flush. "Hey you okay?" I look at her while she rinses out her mouth.
"Yea just some morning sickness…nothing to worry about." She crawled back to bed and stared at her belly. She rubbed her hand over it and sighed.
"What?"
"Nothing…I just…I am so happy. This kid is going to mean the world to me." I smile and kiss her cheek. I place my hand over hers.
"I know…but I'll still be number one right?" She pinches my side and I yelp.
"I don't know…maybe not after that comment." I pout and she leans over to kiss me. Yep. I've never been happier…I don’t want to leave her for another tour…especially with a new baby…I don't want to leave her ever.
One Month Later…
Perrie and Zayn were over with their little guy. Cosmo adores that kid. Which I'm happy about…I was worried about how he would be like around kids. Perrie and Clary are on the floor playing with Xander. "So how are you feeling…Clary's what 4 months pregnant?"
"Yep…we find out the gender tomorrow…and I find that I am way more nervous the further along she gets. Very protective…"
"Which I'm sure Clary loves." I laugh at that because I know she doesn't like when I get all over-bearing on her. But I can't help it…she's kind of reckless. Zayn and I talk about how we need to change the tour length now. Surely the other guys will get it.
"I just don't want to leave him…you'll get it soon enough."
"Psh…I hated just leaving Clary…Paul and them are going to have to physically drag me out of this house." Zayn laughs and punches my arm. We keep on talking about family and stuff. Then Zayn and Perrie leave. "Oh I really hope you have a girl…then maybe one day…Xander and she--"
"Absolutely not!" Everyone laughs at me but I mean I will not have Perrie already shipping off my unborn kid with hers. Regardless of how cute Xander is.
I'm sitting there with Clary while she gets ready for another ultra sound. I'm bouncing my legs waiting. "Niall stop it! You're making me antsy." I get up and kiss her.
"I'm sorry…I just want to know." Finally the doctor comes in and smiles.
"Hello! How is everyone? Little nervous? Alright let's ease his mind huh?" Clary chuckles while I just sit there and look at Dr. McKenzie. She fixes up Clary and soon we were looking at our little baby. "Okay…well it's a little girl." She points to some hamburger looking thing.
"What how can you…the hamburger?" She nods then proceeds to explain it but I tuned out staring at our little girl. We are having a girl…a little girl. I look at Clary and she's crying, holding my hand. The doctor hands us a picture and a DVD then lets us be alone. Clary is looking at the picture. "A little girl…Niall…we're having a girl." I smile and nod while she works on getting up. I help her up then she hugs me. I wrap my arms around her, kissing her head.
"Arabella Jade Horan…" Then I bent down and kissed her belly. "We can't wait for you to come." Clary smiled then gasped.
"What? What?"
"She just kicked I think…or moved or something…" I look up at her and then I put my hand over her belly. I stand there waiting…nothing happens. I sigh then she kisses me.
"I'm sure it will happen again Niall don't worry." I nod then help Clary out and into the car. Only 5 more months…I can do this. She gets in and sighs then moves a bit.
"Ready to go meet up with the gang?"
"Yep…this should be fun…man this whole bigger belly is seriously getting in the way…" I chuckle and head off towards Liam's and Nicole's for some wedding details. They were getting married after Clary gave birth…which is right before tour so their honeymoon is going to be a few days…but they don’t mind. We get there and Nicole runs over. "How's my godchild?! Is it healthy? You feel okay?"
"SHE is fine Coley." Everyone's head snaps up and gape at us. Nicole squeals and hugs Clary then me. Everyone comes over and hugs us, congratulating us. Then Clary sits down and helps Nicole with planning, she's the maid of honor.
I just talk with the guys again. "So I think after this tour…I'm going to propose to Penny." We all snap our gaze to Harry.
"What? Don't gape at me…I love her." We all hug him and then feel the girls looking at us. We all just smile and wave then sneak off to talk to Harry some more.
