Clary's POV
Right now I am helping Penny with this planet thing for her class. All I know is that I have to paint the planets. She's making like a speech thingy…I'm still a bit hung-over from last night. Lilly came into London for Friday and Saturday so we partied…probably more than I should have but I get the weekends off. Oh right I work at Radio One from like noon to 10pm with my best bud Ryan. I technically should have a semester left of my senior year but I got done a year early so I have been back in London since then. Nicole finished a semester early and is moving over here. Her dad lives over here currently and Nicole got the apartment down the hall from us. Which is nice. Her plane landed at 3 so I have to pick her up from the airport. Its noon now. My phone buzzes and a familiar name I was not happy to see popped up.

Liam: Hey what are you doing today? It was great seeing you and Lills last night! I missed you lots. :)

Well shitballs. I just gasped which caused Penny to peak over our Styrofoam Jupiter. "You okay Clarissa? You didn’t spill did you?!"
"What no I'm fine…just something I saw on Twitter…it's nothing." She just smiled and went back to typing on her laptop. I took a deep breath then decided to not answer. I still have all the boys' numbers…even Eleanor's and Perrie's. I don't even know why I haven't talked to them since like sophomore year. Then it buzzes again. I look down and all I want to do is stab my paintbrush through my eye.

Liam: Come on Clary don't be like this. We had fun last night! You can bring Lills too!
Me: Liam…just please stop. I don't even remember last night all that much. And I can't anyways I have plans.
Liam: With who? And seriously? You're feeling okay right? I can come over and bring comfort foods! :)

He really is too kind for his own good. That's honestly why I liked Liam as a friend back then…he was always there. He came over that first week just to make sure I was okay. Then suddenly last night all came rushing back. Lilly persuaded me to go to Funky Buddha. Liam was there and noticed me…so he was with us all night. We danced and I think I drank more than I should have considering Liam was there. Liam somehow got me on the dance floor…and we oh god. Did he think that I liked him now? Sweet lord what did I do? I think all we did was dance…I'm hoping that’s all we did. I finish up my last planet and went to my room to lay down for a bit. I hear Penny from the living room. "Oh Redhead these look amazing! My kids will love them! Thank you bunches babe!" Then she comes running in and flops down on my bed next to me. I let out a groan. She giggles at me. "Oh sorry I forgot you had a wild night. Its almost 2 though so you should think about leaving…traffic will be nasty." I groan but get up and throw on my black Uggs then head on out to my car. Penny was right traffic was awful. I want to just bash my head against the steering wheel. My phone buzzes again…its Lilly. Thank God.

Lilly-pad: Hey! Last night was awesome…Thanks it was just what I needed. My mom is doing better though! :) Say hi to Nicki for me!
Me: Did Liam text you too? And your welcome girly! Come on out whenever you can!
Lilly-pad: OMG he texted you!!! Dude…you didn't do anything right?
Me: NO! God no…he wants to hangout tonight………..

My phone buzzed but I was driving so I will message back as soon as I can. Which was when I pulled into the airport. That drive took longer than expected. I had 20 solid minutes until her plane landed. So I checked my phone.

Lilly-pad: Go for it. Come on its just Liam…besides you have missed him and Haz the most. Well minus Niall but I don't count him because well…its him.
Me: I have to help Nicki! I told him I had plans…
Lilly-pad: Nicki isn't going to let you help. Just go! It will be fuuun. Don't do anything stupid though.

I just stopped messaging her because she was no help at all. There was a shit ton of security here. I wonder what the hell is going on. I look at my phone. It was almost 3…Nicole should be here any minute now. I manage to get a bench and wait. The security haven't told me to move back yet. So that's awfully nice of them. I just play on my phone waiting to here Nicole's voice scream out.

Niall's POV
I was getting back from knee surgery. I just crashed at Harry's place over in California with him for the past few weeks. California…the state where Clary was kind of from. I couldn't really do much. Apparently Liam had a killer time last night with these two girls he knew from school. I have no clue who though. He didn't tell me…said he couldn't or he would be killed. Which he was probably exaggerating. My mind instantly flew to Clary and Lilly but what would Clary be doing back here? She still had the rest of her senior year. I was going back to London today…bearing these ridiculous crutches. I get off the plane and head to the terminal when I hear a voice I never ever thought I would hear again. "EXCUSE ME! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY! I NEED TO GET TO MY BAGS!" I see brown hair practically pushing people out of the way to get to her bags. Nicole Waters…the best friend to the girl who I love. I attempt to get over by her but I can only move so fast. So I just follow her slowly. Then I see her, Clary Wolf, sitting on a bench biting her lips and looking anxiously in the crowd. She spots Nicole and smiles. God I have missed that smile. Then I hear Louis yelling at me. "OI! Niall! We are over here you big idiot!" Clary's head snapped to the direction Louis was in. Louis was looking at me waving his arms about. Ellie was trying not to laugh. I just glared and headed on over. I look back to see Clary and Nicole hugging. Ellie follows my gaze and she starts to yank on Louis's arm. "Holy shit…Lou look!" Louis did and his reaction was the same. That was until he screamed out her name. "CLARY!! OVER HERE!" He started waving his arms. Both Nicole and Clary look over and their eyes widen. Suddenly Nicole said something then they grabbed her bags and ran out of there like we were…ghosts. I get over there. Ellie looks sour but Louis just seemed a bit sad. "That was awfully rude of her. The least she could've done was wave or smile. God. I was one of her best friends now look at it! What a bitch."
"Don't you dare call her that Eleanor!" Louis picked up my things while Ellie just glared back at me.
"You have got to be shitting me. You still love her don't you? Even after everything she did to you…to us?!" She had a very good point but you see…my heart was already set on her. It was the moment we became good friends. There was nothing I could do now. Except sit and wait until I see her again. Which is probably never. London is huge. We get outside and I know that Clary is long gone. Maybe I should text her?

Clary's POV
Nicole and I book it out of there before Eleanor or Louis came over to us. They must be crazy if they thought I would go over there like nothing happened. Things happened and people have changed. We get back to the apartment and I park the car in my spot. Then we grab her bags and head on up. The elevator was currently broken so we had to hike up 6 flights of stairs. Nicole gets out her key while I sit on the bags toying with responding to Liam or not. "Clary Berry! Come on…what are you staring at your phone for?" I jump up and grab the bags shaking my head.
"Its nothing…I just ran into Liam last night and he's texting me…he wants to hang out tonight…" I put the bags down and plop down on her couch. Her dad hired someone to furnish her apartment so it would be decorated when she got here. My phone buzzes and Nicole comes running in.
"Shut up I can't believe your talking to Liam! He was cute…and he's only gotten hotter. I say go for it. You need more friends." I glare at her but unlock my phone.

Niall: Hey…I honestly don't know why I am messaging you because I know that you won't respond. But it was good to see you…even if it was only for a moment. I miss you. Everyone does.

I just gape at my phone. Jesus why the hell is this happening! I read the text to Nicole and now we are both just sitting here staring at each other. We both open our mouths to say something but shut them again because well we have nothing to say. Finally Nicole speaks, "Are you going to respond?"
"I don’t know Nicole! This is all too much. I thought I was in the clear…I didn't think this would happen!" I sigh knowing that I should respond but what would I say. There was a knock and I assumed it was her dad. She gets up and I hear her welcome him in and hugs him. I stand up and wave. "Clary! Good to see you dear. I hope Nicole here wasn't too much of a trouble to pick up? I could have done it you know."
"Its fine Mr. Waters. I don't mind. Well I'll get going let you guys catch up. Nicki hang out tonight?"
"Sorry Clary Berry I have chapters that won't write themselves. My dad is only here to read what I got so far. I say you hang out with you know who. Not Voldemort though but well you know." I just sigh and nod. She meant Liam. I go to my place and see Ryan sprawled on my couch like he owns the place while Penny is on the other couch. Ryan peeks over the couch and waves. "CLARISSA! You're home. Come join us in the watching of Disney movies!" Penny just laughs and asks how Nicole is.
"She's good. All settled and I think I might have plans Ryan. But I'm sure Penny will stay and wipe away your tears." I got to my room and take a deep breath before messaging Liam.

Me: Hey…if the offer still stands I wouldn't mind hanging out…but at your place okay?

Almost instantly I got a reply.

Liam: Wait are you serious?! Yes! You can always come over! Oh I'll have to tell the boys I'm not feeling good or something…Niall just got back here so we were going to hang at his place. No worries though.
Me: you had plans? Then go hang with them Liam…we can do this some other time.

He didn't listen instead he just set me his address and said that he missed me and he sees the boys everyday so he will live not seeing them for one night. I can't help but smile at him. Well shit I don't know what to wear! Its January now so obviously I'm going to wear comfy clothes. It was just Liam. I go to my closet and find something to wear. I settle on just yoga pants and a baggy sweater. I head back out but not before Ryan tackles me. "NO! I won't let you leave."
"Get off of me you big weirdo!" I know why he doesn't want me to leave because well he gets really awkward when its just him and Penny. Why you ask? Well because he likes her…but Penny likes him too and that's why I am leaving. She finds it cute when he gets all flustered around her. I push Ryan off and wink at Penny before grabbing my keys and purse. I get to my car and drive to Liam's apartment. I sit in my car for a bit. What the hell am I doing here. This is fucking stupid. Beyond stupid really. But I just sigh and get out. I go in and text him that I am here. I sit around for like 2 minutes when the elevator pops open and Liam comes out. I stand up and wave. He comes running over and hugs me. He's gotten taller and hotter for sure. He leads me to his place. I get in and holy shit the living room is the size of my whole apartment. "You look great Clary…how've you been?" I go and sit down by him. He just smiles at me…that stupid smile that lights up his whole face.
"I've been good. Really busy with work but good. You guys have had a fun ride huh?" He laughs at me.
"Yea…its been crazy! And work? I thought you were still in school…"
"Nope I graduated a year early. So I've been over here since like I want to say May. I interned over here all summer then I got offered a job…so I've been working since like September."
"You've been over here since last May?! So when you didn't go to the concert in August…you physically couldn't because--"
"I was an ocean away and had a job. I tried to tell Harry but he wouldn't listen. That's why I kind of stopped talking to you guys because I worked odd hours and yea…" Suddenly Liam just hugged me again apologizing for everything. I told him it's okay. I thought it was for the best anyways. I told him the whole airport thing and Niall's lovely text. "That doesn't surprise me at all. We all miss you Clary…minus Ellie I think…she's still a bit mad over the whole thing. But Niall still likes you I think. Some of our songs he wrote and I know they are about you." I look around and I spot an Xbox. Remembering how I kicked everyone's ass in it that one Homecoming. Then I think about my last Homecoming. God what a night that was. I could still picture it. Niall in his suit all nervous and flustered when he saw me in my dress. How sweet he was throughout the whole dance. And that night was permanently seared into my mind. Our first time…he had it all done up, lights, candles, a nice bed, somewhere quiet and remote…it was adorable. Liam's voice snaps me back from my daydream. "You thirsty?"
"Huh oh yea whatever beer you got is fine." He gets up and leaves. I yell after him. "Wanna play some FIFA Payno?!" He brings back two beers for both of us and starts up the game. I am laughing harder than I have in months. Liam got us more beer. We stopped playing and popped in an Iron-Man movie.
"Clary wake up! Its like 1am you should probably go…you're okay to drive right?" I nod and get up. I thrown on my shoes and purse. "Thanks for tonight. I had a lot of fun. I missed you Liam."
"Missed you too Clary." Clary…no one calls me that except Lilly and Nicole…otherwise I am Clarissa. Then something happened that I wasn't expecting. Liam pecks me on the lips. Then shoos me out the door. I drive home in like a daze. Liam Payne…best friend to Niall…just kissed me. HOLY SHIT.
