Disney Dreaming **ON HOLD**

Aladdin

*Aladdin’s POV*

That’ll be $11.37 please.” The cashier told me as I went to pay for my food. I found some money on the ground and though a buffet sounded nice. I pulled out my money, I only had $9.

“Is there any way to make is lower? Please? I only have $9.” I explained to her hoping that she would take pity on me.

“I’m sorry, I wish I could, but I can’t.”

“Please, I’m so hungry, this is all I have.”

“I’ll pay for it.” A girl behind me said. I turned and looked at her. She was absolutely beautiful.

“Just add another one on please. I’ll pay for both.” She told the cashier.

“You really don’t have to do that.” I told the girl feeling guilty that someone was paying for me, for once.

“No, really, it’s not a problem.” She said smiling to me.

“That’ll be $23.85” The cashier told her. She handed her a credit card and it was done.

“Since I paid for you, and we are both alone, do you want to maybe eat together?” She suggested.

“Sure. I’m Aladdin by the way.” I introduced myself holding out my hand for her to shake.

“Jasmine, but my friends call me Jaz.” She said accepting my handshake. We started to walk and found a place to sit. After we found a table, we went and got some food. I piled my plate high. I know I can go back as many times as I want, but I’m hungry. I haven’t eaten much in a while. I went back to the table and met Jaz there.

“You know, I don’t think I’ve seen you around here.” I told her. She is probably the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, how could I not have noticed her?

“Yeah, I don’t come to this part of the city. The people I hang out with don’t really like it here.”

“Why is that?”

“I don’t know. It’s complicated. We usually stick to the East side of the city. I love it over here though, so simple.” She explained.

“The east side? That’s the “richie” part of town. Why would you want to come here? Sure, here is nice, but not even close to how nice it is over there.” I said confused. If I could go to places on that side, I would.

“It’s too…. Restrictive. Over here, I can be who I want to be, do what I want, and no one judges me. I just want to be who I am and not have anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong and what I’m doing right. It’s hard. I just wanna be free, I don’t want to feel trapped anymore.” She poured out her feelings, “I’m sorry. I just met you and I am already spilling out how I am feeling. You must think I’m ridiculous.” She said shaking her head and looking down at her plate.

“Not at all. After all, you did buy me lunch, the least I could do was listen.” I said earning a slight chuckle and smile from her.

“Well thank you, but I won’t spill out my life to you. How about you? Tell me about yourself."

"Well, there isn't anything to say. I'm nobody."

"Now that can't be true." She said disbelieving.

"It is. I have no family. I live by myself with my dog, I have no money. I'm no one."

"Don't be so down on yourself. Now, I know I don't really know you, but from what I do know, you seem pretty great." She said making me smile. No one makes me smile like this.. We sat and ate lunch for another hour and a half laughing and getting to know each other.

"Oh my gosh!" She stated looking at her phone "Where did the time go?" She stated smiling up at me, I just smiled back.

"We should probably go.." I said standing up and beginning to walk out with her. "Thank you, again, by the way."

"It was really no problem. Thank you for eating and talking with me. You're a really great guy." She said making me smile down at the ground and pushing my hands deeper into my pockets.

"Jasmine?" We heard someone say behind us making us turn towards the sound of the voice.

"Jeff? What are you doing here?" She asked, obviously knowing him.

"Your father sent me. Come on, we have to go." He said gesturing for her to walk with.

"I have my own car." She told him

"Ian has already taken that back to your house. Now, please, let's go." Jaz looked at me apologetically

"I'm so sorry, but I have to go." She said walking over to him, "We will have to get together sometime soon again, yes?" She asked stepping in the car.

"Of course!" I said waving to her forcing a smile, not wanting her to leave. I watched the car drive off while I kept my hand in the air. Once the car was out of sight, I let my hand slump down to my side and sighed. She left all too soon. Before I could turn and walk back home, everything went black.
