*Belle's POV*

I heard my phone tell me I got a text. I went over and picked it up. It was Gabe.

Open your door

I rolled my eyes at the text

Why?

I responded

Just do it

I sighed and walked to my front door. I loped out the window and saw Gabe posing there with a grin on his face. I rolled my eyes again and opened the door.

"Can I help you?" I asked looking at him unamused.

"Come on, let's go." He said nodding towards his car in the driveway.

"Go where? I don't want to go anywhere with you, Gabe." I honestly told him.

"Belle, let's go. We are going on a date. I was thinking dinner, then a movie, maybe a little doorstep scene if you know what I mean." He said wagging his eyebrows at me.

"Actually I was thinking about not doing any of those things." I said folding my arms. What is it he is not getting? I have flat out told him that I am not interested in dating him, and he won't leave me alone.

"I don't know why you don't want to go out with me. Any girl would be dying to be in your position. I mean look at me, I'm hot!" He said gesturing to his body. I scoffed at his motions.

"Well then go ask out one of those girls. I'm not interested in dating you Gabe. Now please, leave. Have a nice night." I said trying to shut the door but he stopped it.

"I don't want to ask out those girls, Belle. I want you. Your beauty will compliment my charming good looks in a way those other girls can't."

"There is one of the reasons I am not interested. You're cocky and full of yourself. Please, leave me alone. Goodnight." I said finally getting the door shut and locking it.

"You're not getting rid of me that easy!" I heard him shout from outside the door. I was angry. I am not interested in going out with someone as shallow as Gabe. I don't know what part of that he doesn't get. As I watched Gabe pull out of my driveway, my phone rang. I looked at it and
noticed it was a number I didn't recognize.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi, is this.. Belle?" The man on the other end asked.

"Yes, and who is this?"

"My name is Dave, I work with the police. We found a car on the side of the road a few hours
ago. Looks like it crashed into a pole, but no one was inside. There was some blood, not a lot, but a little. Enough to know someone was injured, but other than that nothing. We realize that it is your fathers car and his cell phone was left dead in the car. Have you heard any word from him?" The man explained. I was shocked, what happened? Where did my dad go?

"No, I haven't heard from him. Where is the car? Have you any idea where he might have gone? Anything to know he is okay?" I frantically replied wanting answers.

"No, nothing. We just wanted to inform you. The blood in the car isn't a lot, I want you to realize that. Your father should be just fine, just some minor cuts, nothing major from what we can see. We are out looking for him. If you want to come look at the car it is just off the highway. You can come tomorrow when it is lighter. We will keep looking." He said.

"Alright, I will stop by tomorrow morning, thank you officer." I said and hung up the phone. I was shaking. Was my dad alright? Where would he go? Why wouldn't he call me? As much as I wanted to go now, I knew that Officer Dave was right, it was dark and I shouldn't be out now. I will wait till morning. I'll just sleep it off until I can leave. I quickly got in the shower and set an alarm for 7 so I could get up and get ready and be there by 8:30. I hope they find him soon…

*Luke's POV*

"Luke! What are you doing?" Clay asked running over to me. "Why are you here?"

"Shh!" I hushed him, "I think someone is here." I said pointing to the window as we watched a man walk up to the house. He knocked on the door and I went to answer.

"Can I help you?" I asked opening the door.

"I am so sorry to bother you, but I got in a crash and my phone is dead. This house is the only house for a while and I was wondering if I could please call someone?" He asked. His face was cut up and he had a few bruises.

"Why of course! Please, come in! We can get you cleaned up and you can call whoever you need." I said opening the door wider letting him in.

"What are you doing!? You know if the master finds out he will kill us all!" Clay whispered/yelled in my ear.

"That's why we don't let him find out. We clean him up, let him use the phone, then he will leave before he knows." I said to him leading the man to the bathroom.

"Fine, but if you get caught, I want no part in this!" He said walking ahead of us.

"We will let you clean up then we will get you some food and let you use the phone." I said gesturing him the bathroom.

"Thank you so much!" He said walking in.

"Mrs. Potts! Please get some sandwiches or something for our guest." I said to her as she passed by.

"Certainly" She smiled at me and continued to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the man stepped out and he looked better. He washed the blood off his face and arms.

"Thank you so much." He said again.

"It's no problem." I replied

"My name is Maurice." He said holding out his hand for me to shake.

"I'm Luke." I said shaking it back, "Now let's go let you use the phone and get you some food." I said leading him to the living room.

"Here you are deary." Mrs. Potts said giving Maurice some food when he sat down.

"Thank you." He smiled up at her. I got Maurice the phone and set it in front of him. Right as he picked it up we all heard something we did not want to hear.
