Chapter 17
I rushed over the hospital the moment Harry left. I hailed a taxi, just outside the hotel and told the driver the details of Lou’s hospital. I was really worried. They say that pregnant women’s lives are in danger, always 50/50 especially giving birth. Lou was also important to me, and without her, I probably haven’t met Harry and the gang.
I stepped out and paid the taxi driver quickly before sprinting towards Lou’s room to find her sleeping in the hospital bed, without the big bump on her stomach. As I clicked the door shut, her eyes shot open and smiled as she saw me.
“Holly,” she says, she weakly brings out her hand and I take it while grabbing a chair to sit beside her.
“How are you?” I ask.
“I’m fine. I felt like my vagina was being stretched to its limit.” She weakly laughs after and played with my curly hair just like what Harry does. I suddenly blush. “Harry does this, doesn’t he?”
I nodded shyly and smiled. “Where’s the baby?” I ask.
“She’s being cleaned.” She answers.
“She?”
“Yes, she’s a girl. I don’t know what to name her, though but I have an idea in mind.”
“Well, say it.”
“Lux?”
I smiled and nodded in agreement. “Lux it is.”
“Anyway, Holly, where are the boys?”
“They’re at rehearsals. They dedicated this concert to you, Lou.” I smile as I said it and I pulled my knees up to my chest. “They’re doing fine if you’re wondering. Just a bit dazed.”
“How about you, Holly? How are you doing? How are you and Harry?”
I nodded slightly. “We’re….. Okay. I guess.”
“I guess?” suddenly, she frowns. “He really likes you Holly. Ever since you came, he never stopped talking about you and he never asked someone else to fix his hair and make up. Just you and only you.”
“Lou, I don’t want to talk about this, please.”
She smiled like she felt sorry for me. “You’ll have to talk about this, sooner or later, Holly. Maybe one day, he’ll get snatched from someone else.”
“I will, Lou. But not today, you’re tired. You need rest. I’ll just leave first and pick out their clothes and fix them. Get well soon, Lou. Can’t wait to see you doing your magic!”
“Wait, Holly! I have to tell you something.”
“What is it?”
“I’ll be leaving them in your hands. I’ll be having a break for a few months and come back when the time is right.”
I felt like my world was spinning. “Why do you have to go?”
“Lux is my first priority; I don’t want this job getting in the way.”
“But, Lou. You can’t just leave me here. I can’t do this alone.”
“You won’t be alone, Holly. You can ask Kiera, if you want.”
I smiled slightly. “Sure, Lou. I will. Thank you and get well soon.” I said as I hugged her and walked out of the room.
I hailed another taxi as I was outside the hospital. The moment I reached the hotel, I grabbed my hand bag and went to Niall’s room hoping to find Kiera.
She was there. Lying down on the bed, wearing Niall’s shirt, watching TV. Her brown hair is messily bun and hair is sticking out to different directions but she still managed to look so pretty. I walked toward her and she looked at me.
“Hey, Holly!” she cheerfully greeted me.
I smiled back at her and sat on the bed. “Sex with Niall?” I asked.
“How’d you know?” she asks.
I smirk at her. “I’ve been you best friends for years. I know.”
She sighs and switches the TV off. “I feel like we haven’t talked for a long time. You know, the “talk talk”.”
“I know, Kiera. I have to ask you something too.”
“What is it?”
“Lou is leaving. I was hoping if you’d like to replace me and I’d take her place.”
She squints. “Sure, but I have to ask first. You know, my manager. But I would love too.”
I smile. “Thanks, Kiera. I’m going now. Wanna come with me?” she smiles back.
“Sure! Wait, I’ll just shower and we’re good to go.”
I roll my eyes. “Hurry up or I’ll leave you!”
I wait for her for a few minutes and she dressed up. She chose to wear a cute baby doll dress matched with her Keds. She tied her hair in a side- way braid and she looked like a fresh, country girl. “How’s this?” she asks, as she twirls.
“Cute,” I remark. “What about me?”
She eyes me. “Sexy bitch.”
“Bitch?” I ask in horror. Maybe my crop top was too short or maybe my jeans are too tight? While I was thinking of the negative side of my clothing, Kiera butted in.
“Yes, Holly. Bitch is a compliment you weirdo.” She walks away, grabs her key card and heads toward the elevator. I go after her and we hailed a taxi and headed to the boys concert.
When we reached there, we went straight for the stage where we found the boys rehearsing their song which I still don’t know. It’s weird. I’ve been touring with them but I still don’t know any of their songs. When Harry saw us enter, he stopped singing and ran toward me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward the stage.
“Ms Holly Winters,” the boys say in unison as they bowed down. I laugh and they stood up and handed me a microphone.
“What’s this for?” I ask.
“You’re gonna sing a duet with Harry!” Louis and Niall shouts.
I look at them with confusion while Harry gave me a flirtatious wink. Suddenly, Liam hands me a paper that we’ll be singing tonight.
