Chapter 12
It’s been two weeks since I last saw Kiera. So far we have been to Chicago, Oklahoma and Denver and we are now on our way to Las Vegas. Ever since the trip on the beach and Harry’s confession, we haven’t had sex, I explained everything to Louis so that he’ll be there to help and guide me. I know that if we continue to have sex, his feelings will grow and I’ll end up broken- hearted in the future.
Niall and Kiera are official now and I’m happy for them. As for Adam Levine, he confessed that he just wanted Kiera for her body so everything is clearer now for both of them. I would sometimes join in, in their Skype calls but I know I should give them some alone time.
Right now, we only have almost two hours left ‘till we arrive in Las Vegas and start getting warmed up. I sat beside Louis while he played Fifa and agreed to at least call my parent everyday.
“Holly?” I hear my mom call my name.
“Yeah, it’s me. How are you, mum?” I ask. I miss her so much that I felt my stomach clench.
“I’m okay, darling. How about you? I’ve been seeing you in newspapers and the news. What’s been happening?”
“Well, I’m in a difficult situation right now so it’s hard to explain.” I say with a nervous laugh.
“It’s okay, Holly. Just promise to inform me once in a while.” suddenly I hear someone talking in the background. “Well, I’ve gotta go, Holly. Mom has a special date.”
I roll my eyes and laughed a little. “Sure, mom. Whatever you say. Bye, love you lots.” I then hang up to find Harry walking toward us and sat beside me, leaving his arm wrapped around my shoulders. I didn’t bother leaving or anything. If I do, Harry might really suspect there’s something between us. He looked at me amazed, expecting me to leave but I just gave him a seductive smile that made me sure he had a boner.
Suddenly we hear Louis scream and we notice that he scored so he jumped around the bus shouting he won. “Good lord, is this your first victory, Louis?” Liam asks as he shushes him down. Louis then sits back down and continued playing while I stood up to head to my bed. I haven’t really slept well last night so I’ll use the time now. As I stood up, Harry looked at me like he didn’t want me to go but I didn’t care. I won’t let myself get hurt in the future.
*Niall’s POV*
I notice that Holly had been avoiding Harry. And it bugs all of us except Louis. As she stood up to sleep, we started talking about her.
“Harry, you eventually did something.” Liam presses. He hates it when everyone isn’t good terms with each other.
“I told you. Nothing! She just started avoiding me! Louis, just please tell me what happened.” Harry begged Louis.
Louis looked like he wanted to tell him badly but he just said, “Harry, just give her space. That’s all she needs. You were the first person she had sex with after all and it’s more confusing for her that you’re just FRIENDS.”
“Harry, it’s also your fault. You know she’s a virgin and you just rushed everything.” Zayn says.
“I’m not even sure if she is,” Harry answers.
“Why?” I ask.
“God, guys, have you seen her in bed? Holy shit, she’s so hot and good that it drives me crazy.”
We all nervously laugh not sure if we should mean it or not. We do admit, Holly is a very lovely girl and we would love to be in Harry’s place but we do have girlfriends and cheating wouldn’t be the answer.
“Anyway, why won’t you try asking Kiera about her?” Liam suggests.
Harry shrugs. “I don’t know. We’re not really that close.”
“I can do it.” I suggest.
“Oh, right. She’s your girlfriend. I forgot. God, Niall, I thought you’ll be dating a sweet, fresh country girl but instead, you picked a hot, amazing girl.” Zayn jokes. “Have you even done it already?”
I shook my head. “She’s not ready…….. I think.”
Eventually they all laughed including Louis. “Niall, she’s a sex goddess. It doesn’t mean that she’s Holly’s best friend that she’s also a virgin.”
“Whatever, guys. I’ll just talk to her about Holly.” I answer. I wasn’t ready to talk about this. I stood up to grab some food and ate.
After about two hours, we came to a stop and Paul enters the bus, telling us we arrived in Las Vegas. Holly then comes out of her bed, looking exhausted and grabbed her purse.
“Hey, we’re here.” I tell her.
She smiles. “Yeahhhh…..”
We get out of the bus together and went toward our hotel. We eventually stayed in Caesars Palace and for the first time in weeks, we got to stay in separate rooms. We all waited in the lobby while screaming girls were just outside the building. A few minutes later we were handed our key cards and we went straight toward our rooms. As I enter mine, I notice a piece of envelope lying on my bed. As I opened it, it was an invitation for a masquerade ball tonight. Did the other boys receive this too? I walked toward the door to find everyone in the hallway, holding their envelopes too. Including Holly.
“What is this?” Holly asks as she held out her envelope.
“I think they want us to attend the masquerade ball tonight.” I suggest.
“Obviously they are, Niall. That’s why we have invitations.” Liam answers.
“But, isn’t a masquerade ball like where you wear masks and hide your identities and wear pretty, puffy, gowns?” Holly asks.
“Yes, it is, love.” Zayn answers.
“Where are WE getting gowns, masks, suit and ties?!?” she asks freaking out.
“Hey, I’ll just buy you a dress and a mask. It’ll be fine.” Louis says.
“No, I don’t want to be a burden.” She answers.
“Holly, you’re like a sister to me, so it’s my job to attend to your needs.”
“But... But... What if I just don’t go?”
“No!” Harry shouts. “You’re going! Louis! Get her the best you can find, alright?”
Louis nods and salutes with a huge smile on his face while Holly looked down at the floor. What is wrong with her? What did Harry do? Suddenly, Harry, Zayn and Liam walked toward me while Louis and Holly walk away in the opposite direction.
“Where are they going?” I ask.
“Louis’ gonna get her a dress.” Liam answers.
“I wish the other girls were here. It would be lovely.” Zayn says as he took his phone. Oh, he meant Eleanor, Perrie, Danielle and Kiera. Yeah, I wish they were here too.
We walk toward the elevator to ask the receptions where Lou Teasdale stayed at. It’s time to start getting ready for the ball.
It’s already 8 pm and we just finished fixing ourselves. It was hard to look for masks and proper suits for a masquerade ball. Louis and Holly said we’ll meet up in the venue and all of us are excited to see what she would look like. Paul, too, came wearing a mask and a suit. I swear, I’m so excited.
As soon as we were inside the car, it took is 15 minutes ‘till we arrived in the venue. There were already a lot of people and everyone was wearing masks. Suddenly, someone taps my shoulder and I turn around to see a guy wearing a black mask.

“How did you know?” he exclaims. “Damn it, this mask sucks.”
We all laugh and Harry looked behind Louis. “Where’s Holly?”
“That’s for all of you to find out yourselves.” He winks. We all groan in disappointment. Great, who is she here? Is she wearing black? Green? Blue? Pink? I groan again and was about to approach a girl with curly blonde hair like Holly but a man approached.
“One Direction?” he asks.
“Yes?” we nervously answer.
“Oh, thank god, I’ve been asking everyone if they were you. You seat is over there.” He points at a table in the left corner and walked toward it.
“Niall,” Harry calls out. I turn to him and he suddenly brought out his wallet. “Here,” he says as he handed me a foil packet.
“What the hell is this, mate?” I ask, lifting it above my head so I can see it clearer with the light.
“Niall! What the fuck are you doing? Put it down! Put it down!” he shouts. I obey quickly and hid it in between my thighs.
“Harry, what the hell is this?” I ask louder, my blue eyes meeting with his green ones.
“It’s a fucking condom.”
“Why the hell are you giving this to me?”
“In case you shag anyone here?” he tries.
“You think I’ll shag someone HERE?” I ask, getting a bit frustrated.
“Yes.” Louis and Zayn answer from behind me. I turn around, bewildered at their comment.
“Guys! Seriously!” I say. I ruffle my blonde hair a little to calm me down a bit.
“Just keep it, mate.” Liam said. With frustration, I keep the condom in my pocket and at the same time, they handed us our salad for appetizers. I reflectively ate the salad followed by the main course and by the time dessert was coming, a girl tapped me on the shoulder wearing this:

"May I speak with you?" she aks, sweetly. I admit, she was hot, Her brown hair was tied in a bun but a few strands were left and curled in the front part of face to add beauty. I peered over to the boys who were winking and nodding at me to go with her and I did. She led me to a hallway where there were no people in it.
"What is it, love?" I ask. She touches my cheek and was about to kiss me when I pushed her away lighly and she gasps. "I'm sorry, I have a girlfriend."
She sucks in her breath and looked hurt. As she walked away, she stopped midway and said,"At least tell me her name."
"Her name's Kiera Holt. Why?" I answer. I don't know why she wants to know but I'm not ready to cheat on Kiera.
The girl freezes and smiles. How weird. Suddenly, she walks fast back at me and presses her lips to mine.
"What did you just do? Didn't I tell her I have a girlfriend?" I ask in horror.
She touches my blonde hair and laughs. "It's me, Niall." and she removes her mask for me to see a girl I've wanted to see for the last two weeks. Kiera.
