A Boy and His Guitar
Summary
Flashback:
It was the boy's sixteenth birthday. He smiled when he woke up that morning. Not because it was his birthday. Not because he would have a party, or get any attention for his parents, (which he wouldn't.)
It was because, today was the day. The day he would buy his first guitar. He knew which one he wanted already. It was sick. Awesome.
He strung out of his bed, carefully making his bed. He would be scolded if he didn't.
"Today's the day," he said when he reached his money safe.
He reached into the safe, typing the code, and pulling out 200 pounds. It took him over three years to get that money. He never got any money. From anyone.
He got dressed that day, taking a shower and putting on some jeans an a T-shirt. He ran down the stairs, closing the door before. He didn't bother with breakfast. He never ate at his home, in fear that one day, it could be poisoned.
He went down to the guitar store, never remembering what te name was, although it was simply 'Great Guitars.'
"I've finally got the money," he said to the cashier he'd become too familiar with.
"Great job, Niall!" The cashier said as she got the guitar he said he'd buy one day. He said that everyday. He'd come down here to just marvel at it in its beauty.
