Harry’s POV
“Earth to Niall,” I say as he had stared off blankly into space for a while now. When he returned to earth he glared at me.

He turned to Arabella. “This is the why you wouldn’t go out with me when I asked you?” He grabbed her wrist and held it tightly. “THIS is the reason you turned me down! You still had feelings for this?!?!” Niall yelled. I figured when he had emphasized this, he was referring to me. Never had I seen Niall this mad.

“You said we could still be friends. You knew I still had feelings for another person, even if you didn’t know it was Harry!” Arabella started tear up in his grasp.

“Niall, what the hell are you doing?” I raged.

Niall slapped her across the face with his free hand. Arabella started crying in his grasp. “But I do know now,” he said ignoring my question.

He dropped her wrist, now bruised, and he stomped to his room and slammed the door. I turned to Bella and she collapsed into my arms. She sobbed into my chest.

“I’m going to go check on Niall,” Liam said then left.

“I’ll go get some ice,” Zayn said.

“Come on, let’s go sit down.” I bought her over to the couch.

I stroked Arabella’s hair in attempt to calm her down. I couldn’t process what had just happened. One of my best mates had smacked my bird and I was to blame. What was Niall talking about?

Niall’s POV

Seeing her with Harry made me mad, but when I got to my room, I couldn’t register what I just did. I had smacked the girl I had feelings for because she turned me down when she still had feelings for Harry. Harry always gets the girl! When is it my turn?

The doorknob turned and Liam walked in.

“Care to explain what just happened?”

“I… I don’t know. I guess I was just upset that Harry always gets the girl.”

“They go back a log way, Niall. You should start to pay attention more.”

“Yeah, but sometime after they broke up first, I asked her out. She said she still had feelings for another guy. And I found out it was Harry, I guess I just didn’t like he fact she turned me down because of him.”

“But what you did was wrong, Niall. If you really liked her, she wouldn’t be sitting on the couch with ice to her face.”

“That bad? I’m so stupid!!!” I can’t believe I hurt her.

“She’s happy with Harry, you need to respect that.”

“I know. Can I go apologize?”

“Maybe in a little bit when you’ve both cooled down,” Liam said and with that he left the room.

How could I have been so stupid? Haz and Ara are happy with each other; I need to respect that.
