Arabella’s POV
I turned around. There stood a familiar blonde boy with an Irish accent.
“Niall!” I screamed. He enveloped me in a bear hug.
“I can’t believe it’s you! I thought I’d never see you again,” he said as we separated.
“You two know each other?” Harry asked.
“Yeah, I was visiting some of my family in Ireland. Our families are close friends. He showed me around Mullingar, and that’s how we met,” I relieved them of their confused faces.
“Oh…” the rest of them said together.
“Well, in case you didn’t catch it: Guys, this is Arabella.”
“Oh, so this is the girl who’s replacing me,” Louis said.
“I’m not replacing you Louis. But she has re-agreed to be my girlfriend.”
Niall’s POV
“Girlfriend?” I asked.
“Yeah,” Harry told me.
I guess I should’ve listened to Haz when he was talking about her. It really is a small world. Her and Harry? It crushes me that they are together, because I had liked Ara when we first met in Mullingar.
¥Flashback¥
“Niall!”
“Yeah mom?”
“There’s someone I want you to meet!”
“Coming!”
I threw some clothes on, and then I walked downstairs. There she stood, an angel without wings. Her beauty took my breath away, and I felt unable to speak.
“Hi, I’m Arabella.”
“N-Niall,” I stuttered. She giggled. “What?”
“Um, you aren’t wearing any pants…” I looked down. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
“I knew that…”

Over the time I had spent with her, the only thing I thought of was how I was going to make her mine. I realize now that Harry always stood in the way.

“Ara, I know we’ve only known each other for two weeks, but will you go out with me?” She thought about it for a few minutes before he responded.
“Niall, you’re a sweet guy, but I just got out of a relationship and I’m not ready to jump into another one. I really don’t want to hurt you, and I’m not sure I can trust anymore guys.”
“That’s okay; I respect your decision. Friends?”
“Friends!”

Now I know that the guy that kept her from me was Harry, and it will always be: Harry.
