Chapter 5

The incessant buzzing woke Louis from his deep slumber and he searched around for the object of disturbance without really opening his eyes. His hands landed on what felt like a face as his latest one night stand snored away in peace. He felt her stir and slap away his hand, before turning the other way and going back to sleep.
He groaned when he remembered how he had not been able to sleep until dawn last night as his date had snored on without a care in the world. He hated when women snored; he found it a huge turn off. That is exactly why he wanted to get away from his latest hook up as soon as possible.
The buzzing had stopped by the time Louis had processed all of these things in his mind. He felt too lazy to open his eyes and get out of the bed. But, more importantly, he didn't want to wake up because he knew he would be reminded of the phone call that had left him raw and bleeding once more. The call he had gotten from, none other than the girl he had loved and had lived to lose: Eleanor Calder.
Louis was disturbed by the buzzing once more and he searched around once again for it, opening one eye. He grabbed his cell phone off the bedside table and answered the call without looking at the ID properly.
"Hello?" His voice was gruff from having just woken and also from having had drowned his miseries with the bottle of scotch the night before.
"Louis Tomlinson, are you still sleeping? It's a Sunday! You promised to visit Gran today!" Louis sat up at his mom's enraged voice and took the call to another room so that he could not be overheard.
"No! Mum, I was just- ahem- just have a sore throat. Yeah. My throat is sore from having practiced and recorded the new song. You know...what with the chorus with Zayn." He lied as he searched the apartment for his clothes. This was one of the biggest cons of spending the night at the girl's apartment; finding clothes.
"Oh dear! Honey, I'm so sorry. Did you try drinking lukewarm water with honey?"
"Yeah. Yeah I did, Mum. Listen, I'll head to Gran’s in 5. Alright? I just finished taking my shower and breakfast."
"Actually, sweetheart, that won't be necessary anymore. Your Gran has invited Daniel and I for lunch today."
"Well, that's nice!" Louis let out a breath of relief and leaned against the door of the living room.
"Yes! That is exactly why I need you to run an errand for me." Louis almost groaned out as the thought of all the possible errands his mother would make him run.
"Now! Don't get all sulky with me, honey. You promised you'd give us more time."
"Yeah yeah. I know."
"So, I need you to meet this girl named Alana at Georgia's cafe for lunch. I promised to meet her today to discuss some important things and a possible charity fund for the shop she runs. So, I'm taking a rain check as it's been a while since I've properly bonded with Dan and your Gran."
"Okay. But, how do I recognize this girl when I go to Georgia's?"
"Oh! Good point. I hadn't thought of that. I don't have her number saved either to give it to you." Louis almost rolled his eyes at how little his mother knew about business and wondered if she did a background check on the people she worked with. He heard his mother continue, "Oh, wait! You may know this girl already. You remember meeting the owner of Flora's, right?"
"Flora's Flower and Events?" Louis queried, scowling at the thought of the little minx who had popped up on his mind for the past few weeks at the most unexpected times.
"Yes, that's the one. You told me you sorted things out with her about Gran's bouquet.
Remember? So, you'll be perfect for interviewing her on the fund I plan on giving the shop."
"Why would you even fund that shop? It's just a stupid flower shop, Mum!"
"Louis, it's- Oh! I gotta go! Dan's calling. Please go meet her, honey. And drop by at ours if you are free later today. Okay? Love you." Johannah hung up, making Louis even more irritated than he was after he heard that he'd have to meet the blonde bombshell that kept reminding him of beds and shackles.
He heard a girly giggle come from behind and turned to find the girl from the night before standing at the entrance to the living room. Louis stopped himself from groaning out loud once he realized that he would have to go through the whole morning after conversation. Louis faked a smirk and walked towards the blonde headed, blue-eyed girl, wondering what it was about her that had appealed to him the night before. Cause quite frankly, she was plastic all over.
Louis frowned as a thought struck him. For some odd reason, he had been attracted to blondes lately. It was odd because he was usually into brunettes. His frown deepened even further once he realized that his preference had not just shifted to blondes, but it had specifically shifted to blondes with blue eyes.

A/N: Apologies for not updating for so long and the short chapter but I just wanted to give you guys something. So this is the new chapter and the next will be Louis and Alana's meet. I apologize on behalf of my friend for actually giving me away in TOYT. She's an idiot. :) She was just trying to make up for the fight we had and I wanna inform you guys that it was equally my fault. We promise not to neglect you guys for our personal reasons anymore.
