Midnight Memories

Everything around me feels cold. I look around the cold white room with walls that last for eternity.

“Beep… Beep… Beep.” I keep hearing that stupid sound.

“Ughh just shut up already!” I yell at the empty white room. Suddenly, everything moves. The once white walls are flipped around and it starts to take me to another place. The walls break and instead of being in a room, I’m on a beach. I try to move, but it feels like I’m glued to the floor.

“Someone help me!” I scream, hoping I’m not alone.
The walls suddenly come to a stop. I try to move my legs, but they are still glued to the floor.
In the distance, I see a girl that looks exactly like me and a blonde headed boy looking at the girl with shining blue eyes. The girl is staring at the stars and the boy is staring at her in awe. She lies down with the sand getting in her hair and continues to stare at the stars. There is so much love and compassion in the boy’s face. She notices and looks at him as he stares at her.
“What?” she asks, blushing slightly, looking at the ground.

“Hello?” I try to call out, but the boy continues to look at the girl like I’m not even there.
“Nothing. You are just so beautiful,” the boy says, making her look him in the eyes. “Come with me, babe. I have a surprise for you,” he says, pulling the girl up.

“HELLOOOO?? CAN YOU NOT SEE ME?” I scream at the couple getting up, and running towards the lake. They continue to ignore me.

The girl giggles as the boy trips on the sand. What she doesn’t see is that he has something in his hand behind his back. It’s a small black box. He quickly puts it in his pocket as they continue to run in the sand, hand in hand.

“Beep… Beep… Beep…” The sound continues.

“Hey babe look,” the girl says.Then she comes to a stop, the boy’s hand still in hers. “It’s a shooting star,” she looks at the star in awe. “Make a wish,” she says as she puts her arms around his shoulders. His hands automatically go to her waist, like he was trying to protect her from something.
“I have nothing to wish for,” the boy says looking down at the girl shorter than him. She blushes and looks at the sand. He pulls her face up to look to his.
“Actually… there is one thing that I would wish for,” he says, meeting his blue eyes with hers.
“And what’s that?” she asks, blushing.

The boy puts one of his knees on the ground. He holds her hand with one of his, and the other reaches in his pocket, getting out the little black box.

“Beep…. Beep… Beep” That stupid sound still will not shut up!

“I wish with all my heart that you would make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” he asks with teary eyes. The girl nods her head up in down in excitement and begins to cry. He puts her in his arms and spins around.

I watch them kiss passionately as the ground starts to move again. “Oh not again!” I scream. “Guys! Help me!!” I scream to the happy couple. Suddenly, they stop what they are doing and walk towards a box that is titled Memories, hand in hand. They start to disappear as they slowly fade into the box of memories. The beeping noise grows louder.
“What’s going on? Come back!” I tell them. Before the boy disappears, he takes a look at me and gives me a sympathic smile. “NO! COME BACK!” I scream at him as he slowly disappears. The room stops spinning and everything is dark. Again, there are no walls, but that loud beeping noise is still there. I try to open my eyes, but I can’t. Something is forcing them to stay closed, but I’m determined to open them. I try and try, and finally my eyes slowly open to a bright room.
