Finishing up the song I looked into the camera, putting the guitar away. “Yep that was today’s cover; I hope you all liked it, now moving on to the updates. I will start taking more request, adding Monday to the list of days to make a video, also, I’m gonna do a Q&A, bringing special guests aka my friends into a video, once a week, and I think its gonna be the Friday videos seeing as it’s the weekend then. Also I’m gonna start vlogging, so that’s what I had of the updates, have a great day and I’ll see you all on Monday when I update a new video, have a great weekend, and may the odds be ever in your favor. Bye guys!” waving to the camera I ended the video and started editing it.
Two hours later I was done editing it, and posted it on YouTube. I then went on twitter and opened a new tweet window, “@This_CareBear: “Just updated a new video on YouTube, so please go check it out”, posting it I smiled to myself and sent a kik to my English best friend CJ, reason I’m saying English best friend is because she lives in England and I live in Norway. In April next year we’ve know each other for 4 years. My name is Karen Jensen, I’m 20 years old from Bergen, Norway and I live with my Nan and my older sister, I regularly visit my dad and talk to him though, my mom on the other hand, died when I was 7. Anyways moving on… me and CJ ended up talking on kik for the rest of the day, were we talked about anything really.
The next day I woke up by my sister walking into my room. She and I have our difficulties but it doesn’t mean we hate each other, well that is if she lets me sleep. I cherish my sleep and my bed too much. After getting up which took me 20 minutes by the way, yep I’m lazy like that, I went to get a shower, playing my one direction playlist on spotify, singing along. Then after my shower I went to my room and got dressed and checked my phone seeing I had gotten a new DM on my Instagram from CJ, it was a picture of my ‘You and I’ cover video, and it had gotten 100,000 views, 50,000 likes and only 200 dislikes, which I could live with. Doing a happy dance I took a picture of myself on Instagram with the caption: “just found out my newest video on YouTube got 100,000 views since I posted it last night!” I was so excited I got on kik and texted CJ, who apparently had been screaming so loud her parents had thought she was dying, smooth move girl. Getting on YouTube I saw that I had gotten a lot of comments, subscribers, close to 500,000 now, but there was one comment that really struck me, it was from One Direction’s official YouTube account, they had written that they loved my cover and that they wanted to meet me… OH MY GOD! ONE DIRECTION WANTS TO MEET ME?! I thought to myself before texting CJ again, telling her everything. I then went on Twitter and opened a new tweet window, “@This_CareBear: “So today I woke up to 100,000 views on my new video, and @onedirection had commented saying they wanted to meet me #BestDayEver” refreshing twitter I saw a few like, retweets and some replies, I also got a few new followers and a DM from Louis Tomlinson, yes the Louis Tomlinson of One Direction, one of my number 1 favorite bands in the world. I quickly wrote him back telling him where in Norway I was from and that if they wanted to meet me, they would have to come there, which he agreed to, and since they weren’t currently on tour until next month they would come as early as tomorrow, and that he would DM me before they took off and as soon as they landed so I could come meet them at the airport. This was defiantly the best day ever. I can’t believe Louis Tomlinson and I had a DM chat on twitter, this is amazing! I thought to myself, making me grin as I told CJ who was green with envy.
Morning after as pretty hectic as I was getting up really early so I could leave for the airport where I would meet the lads, who were secretly landing in Bergen, and they were secretly staying at a hotel near the airport. “Karen you need to get up so you don’t have to stress to get to the airport in time!” my nan shouted from upstairs, I quickly got up and went to take a shower, washing my brown and dark blond hair. After that I went to my room, getting dressed and blow-drying my hair, which always took the longest since it’s so thick, then I went to get some food, ate it before I went downstairs again to brush my teeth and apply the makeup. I hardly ever wear makeup, but since I’m meeting the biggest boy band on the planet I decided to make myself look nice. Getting to the airport I stood where Louis and I had arranged, and an hour later or so five handsome British lads and two girl walked into the terminal and over to me. “Hello Love, how are you?” Louis asked, immediately hugging me, then it was Harry, Zayn, Niall and lastly it was Liam. “This is my girlfriend Eleanor, and Liam’s girlfriend Sophia, girls this is…” “Karen Jensen, I know Louis, if it hadn’t been for me you wouldn’t have know about her, hello Karen, I’m a big fan of yours”, Eleanor said and surprisingly gave me a hug. Louis you’ve got a keeper, I thought to myself. Sophia didn’t seem to bother saying hello so I decided not to bother her.
Getting to their hotel we all sat down on the couches in one of the room, which was a huge room by the way, and we just started talking. “So how did you find out about our music?” Zayn asked, sitting across from me, “Well I was really bored one day and went on YouTube, mind you it was before I made a channel, and I was listening to some music, when I saw ‘What makes you beautiful’ standing in the line of common videos to the one I was listening to, and I thought why not give it a try so I clicked it and ended up listening to it on repeat, since it’s soo beautiful, and after that I’ve been a big fan of yours”, I said with a genuine smile, looking at everyone, seeing Sophia sending me dirty looks, What’s her problem? I asked myself, but decided to ignore it, since I didn’t want to cause any problems. “You and Eleanor are soooo beautiful together Louis, you fit so well to each other!” I said and smiled, “So how old do you have to be to drink in this country and is there some clubs/bars you recommend?” Niall asked, making everyone laugh, well almost everyone. “You have to be 18, but some of the places you have to be 20 or older to get in. We have two Irish pubs and a Scottish pub in town too, but I think one of them is 25 years limit. And since I never go out to bars/pubs to drink anymore I can’t recommend any, because I’ve had so bad experience when I’ve been out”, I replied shrugging at the thought of last time I was out. “You don’t sound like your Norwegian, are you sure you didn’t grow up in England or the states?” Harry asked looking at me with a smirk, “I get that a lot and I wish I was born in England, it’s such a beautiful country, but no, I’m born and raised Norwegian, I have Norwegian parents and grandparents”, I say and laugh. “Can you sing for us?” Eleanor asked looking at me, then at the other, I nodded and saw in the corner of my eyes, Sophia was rolling her eyes at me, ugh that girl!

They all clapped. “Have you ever thought of being famous?” Louis asked, making me smile, “Yeah I’ve thought about it a lot of times, but I don’t want to be famous just because of who I know and what I do for a living, I want to be able to do something for the world, to make a difference in someone’s life and to be someone young kids can look up too.” Again Sophia was rolling her eyes, but before I could say anything, Louis looked at her, “Don’t start Sophia, you had a choice, to stay home or to come with us, and since you chose the last one I want you to treat Karen nicely or you can go home right now, because that is not a way to treat someone.” I think we all wanted to laugh at that, but Sophia just looked at him in shock before standing up and going out the door, Liam following after her, muttering I’m sorry to the rest of us. It all made me feel awkward; I wasn’t used to strangers standing up for me. “That girl needs to smile more”, Niall said after a few more minutes of awkward silence, making us all laugh a bit, well except for me who just looked at my hands, “You okay love?” Zayn asked wrapping an arm around my shoulder, “Yeah, it’s just I’m not used to strangers sticking up for me, I was bullied all through middle school, so my self confidence has been really low, I was really surprised when I uploaded the first video on YouTube”, I say and force a smile, feeling Zayn pull me in for a tight hug. “You’re a fighter, never stop fighting for your dreams”, he whispered into my ear. “Picture time, Harry and Niall on that side, Karen in the middle, Zayn and Louis you stand there, perfect, annnnnd smiiiiiile!” Eleanor said with the biggest smile on her face, I think she and I will get along fine, after the picture was taken I took several selfies with one guy at the time before taking some selfies with Eleanor. “Would you like to come to England with us and hang out with us there? You can come with us on shows and to the studio”, Harry asked before I was leaving, “I would love too, it’s until your tour starts in January right?” he nodded and smiled. I WAS GOING TO ENGLAND WITH ONE DIRECTION! I had to mentally slap myself. Hugging them goodbye I went to the bus and went home, which took over an hour since I was living so far away from the airport.
