Psychic or Psycho?

Jace's POV

Me and Louis just stared at each other for a while. It was starting to get cold, and I only had a t-shirt on. I shivered.

"Are you cold," Louis asked me. I looked at him and nodded. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around me. (CLICHE MOMENT!!)

"N-no L-l-Louis keep y-your j-j-ja-jacket," I say, starting to take it off. Louis stops me.

"It's fine, really. Okay?" I nod. Louis's phone rings, and he looks at the text. He sighs.

"I have to go, can I walk you home?"

Home.

Where the bitch is.

Where I'm unwanted.

Uncared for.

"Please don't send me back there. Can I go to your house? It really was so lovel-"

"Jace." Louis looks down at his lap. "That wasn't my house."

I look at him confused.

"I live in an institution, with Liam, Harry, Zayn, and Niall. We all got sent to the Institution. But If you'd like," he looks up at me shyly, "I could probably find you a room."

"Why didn't you tell me? You know I have no frie-" I cut myself off. I don't think he knows that. I look anywhere but him.

"You don't have any friends? No, you have us. We're your friends," Louis says, tilting my chin to look at him. I narrow my eyes at him.

"No. I don't have any friends because friends actually tell people the truth. Friends don't think that what others friends say isn't true. Friends don't... Friends aren't like this."

Louis's POV

"Friends aren't... like this." My heart dropped. She dropped herself down to the ground from the treehouse, landing on her feet. I did the same.

"What do you mean," I yelled. She looked back at me.

"Friends don't kiss. Friends don't like each other that way!" She yelled so loud she closed her eyes.

"Well who said I did?!" I stopped after I said that.

She looked hurt.

She ran away from me, deeper into the woods.
