Take A Shot

Harry looked up, surprised to see Addie sitting down on the couch beside him. He huffed, not really in the mood to talk to anyone—especially her.

She caught him looking over at her and poked out her tongue at him. “Keep your eyes on the screen, Mr. Styles!”

Harry rolled his eyes at her. “Shut up.”

She pouted and looked back on the screen, arms across her chest. Harry almost felt bad for her, but shook it off, looking on the plasma screen, Woody’s face occupying it.

Harry had noticed Addie muttering under her breath along with the lines of the characters in the movie, watching the film intensely. He smirked at the sight and looked down on his phone, losing interest from the movie.

He scrolled through his Interactions tab on Twitter, reading a few tweets of fans addressed to him. Nothing interesting was to see—it was the usual hate and love he got, and the fans who typed with their Caps Lock on, hopelessly trying to get Harry’s attention.

“Haz,”

Harry looked up, raising an eyebrow at Louis, who received a pillow flying straight to his face from Liam.

“Keep it down!”

Louis rolled his eyes and stood up, going to the back of the room, gesturing at Harry to follow him.

“What?” Harry looked at Louis expectantly.

“What is it with you and Addie?” Louis’s eyes widened.

Harry rolled his eyes, running a hand through his hair. “Nothing,”

Louis scoffed at his best friend. “Don’t lie. Look, I know that you practically loathe the entire female population as of the moment because of one stupid girl who broke your heart, but can’t you see that she’s trying to have a relationship with you? It may not be a romantic one, but I can see that she’s exerting effort to at least be friends with you.”

After noticing that Louis was finished, Harry looked at him for a while before arguing back. “If she’s trying to build a friendship or whatever with me, then please explain as to why she turned me down, twice?”

“Because you’re an idiot, that’s why!” Louis whisper-shouted at Harry’s face as he eyed him, “You act so nicely towards her then suddenly spit bloody venom at her face—that’s the only reason why she’s afraid of falling for you.”

“How do you even know this?” Harry huffed.

“I talked to her!” Louis said, suddenly happy. “She’s great; I like her.”

“When?” Harry asked, eyes widening. “She’s been near me the whole time.”

“I talked to her while you and Liam were kitchen arguing about the damn door.” Louis rolled his eyes. “You’re really stupid sometimes, Harry.”

“Like you’re not,” Harry scoffed.

Addie looked up when Harry took a seat right beside her, surprised by the sudden closeness between them.

“What did you and Louis talk about?” Addie asked him cautiously.

“None of your business,” Harry grumbled.

Addie widened her eyes and shrugged it off, looking back at the screen, slumping in her seat.

Thirty minutes passed and everyone fell silent, the only noise being produced was the light snores Zayn was producing and the chewing of Sam and Niall in unison as they shared a bag of chips.

Addie felt her phone vibrate against her skin, surprising her.

Dad: I hope you’re at Sam’s at the moment—snowstorm’s pretty hard. Don’t go out yet. Love you!

She felt the corner of her lips go up, making her smile. She typed in a quick reply before putting her phone on her lap. The television set had now the credits of the movie on it, and the other boys started standing up from their seats, stretching.

“I’m going to sleep,” Liam said and looked over at Charlie. “Come on, Harries.”

“Night, guys.” Charlie gave a small smile, walking with Liam down the stairs.

“Wake up,” Louis said at Zayn’s sleeping face, and then slapping the back of his head after.

Niall smirked at the sight and held out a hand for Sam. “Let’s go, roommate!”

Zayn and Louis made their way down behind Sam and Niall, leaving Harry and Addie alone once again.

“Why do they always leave us?” Addie said more to herself, watching as the silhouettes of the four disappearing down the stairs.

Harry smiled softly at Addie and carefully put his arm around her. She whipped her head towards him, eyes wide in shock.

“What are you doing?” Addie said quietly.

Harry smirked and leaned down to whisper into her ear, “Giving this another shot.”

Notes

By "make up for it" I meant it in terms length. In terms of the actual story, I'm on it and it will probably be the next chapter or so! :)

UPDATE!!!!!!!!??!? Here's an idea ( sorry if this offended you, or made it seem like I am making fun of you) Addie suddenly go's inside the room during the meeting(make up the reason if you want). She sees the boy's and the dad talking, she suddenly freezes and pieces things together that she was used. Although she doesn't show it. Her father introduces her to the boys, she says she's met them once before. She smiles, an o so believable fake smile, to the boys and her dad. She says ; "one direction, you should hire them, they will do anything to get what they want, talented to. Can I go home I feel a little sick I just came to ask if you were able to come home today, and can I have a lift home right now I feel light headed". Or something like that , make it more interesting and DETAILED. She leaves, questioned faces everywhere, exept liam and harry. The meating continues, blah blah blah. And the end of the meeting, the dad says he would go home to cheak on her daughter, the felt uneasy about her daughter being sick al of the sudden. Then Louis, starts to ask one question , what just happened?(to addie). Great story, hope you update, Again Amazing writing Bye!!!!!?!?!?;
