Epilogue

Five years later

Lana's POV

"Please don't do that, Soph." She continues banging the end of her spoon against the table of her high chair. "Sophie! Enough!"

I close my eyes and take a deep breath before walking over to my little girl, who is now close to tears. I lean down and kiss her on the forehead.

"I'm sorry, sweatheart. Mummy isn't feeling very well, so I need you to behave, okay?"

She nods and I tickle her a little, bringing back her smile that makes my heart melt. She has her father's dimples.

My life has turned out so perfectly. Harry and I got married when I was done with school, which was also the summer before his last year. June 28. It was amazing and definitely the second best day of my life. Harry hates it when I say that out loud, but I know he feels the same way. The best day was when we had our daughter, Sophie. We found out I was pregnant a few weeks after we moved back to London for Harry's last year, which means we basically got pregnant right after we got married. Oops. It was definitely a shock, but we were so excited about it. I was so nervous for the first few months; I wasn't sure if I would be able to carry the baby to term after what happened the first time. But everything went perfectly and we had Sophie Anne Styles on April 21st of that year. She's amazing. Everyone, including myself, says she is the spitting image of Harry; she's got his brown curly hair, green eyes, dimples and she's absolutely beautiful. Harry is the only one who thinks she looks like me.

Now Sophie is two and we're back in Holmes Chapel to raise our family. I decided to wait a while to start working, because of Soph. Harry got a job at the high school as the athletic therapist for all their sports teams. It's not exactly what he wants to do, but you have to start somewhere. We love living here again, especially now that we have a child. Harry's parents and my Dad just adore Sophie. She has them all wrapped around her little finger.

As I'm cutting up a banana for Sophie I get that all too familiar pain in my stomach. I hold in a groan and grip the edge of the counter. That's the fifth or sixth one...Where in the world is Harry? It's 5:30, he should be home by now.

"Mummy?" I take a deep breath when the pain passes and turn back to Sophie.

"Mummy is okay. We just need daddy to come home soon." I turn and put the small pieces of fruit in a bowl and set it in front of her. Just like her father, as usual, bananas are her favourite.

"I'm home!" Finally. Sophie starts squirming around in her seat, putting her arms up for me to take her out of it. Every day when Harry walks in the door she runs to him; it's the cutest thing ever and Harry just loves it. "Where's daddy's girl?"

"Daddy!" Sophie squeals as I lift her out of her seat. I follow as she runs on her little legs with her arms already outstretched. When I turn the corner into the living room the door comes into view, and I can see Harry with the biggest smile on his face, arms in front of him to catch the little girl.

I lean against the side of the couch, knowing that if I sit it'll take far to much energy to stand. Harry lifts Sophie off the ground and tosses her in the air above him, then brings her down above his face to kiss her.

"How was your day, princess?"

"Good. Mummy is sick," she says, putting her hand on his cheek. He frowns and looks at me.

"You're sick? Are you okay? Do you need anything?" he asks, walking over to me with our daughter still in his arms. I laugh and shake my head.

"I'm not sick, Harry." He sighs in relief and gives me a kiss on the mouth, earning a giggle from Sophie.

"So you're lying to our child, then?" he teases, winking at me and setting Sophie on the floor. As soon as her feet touch the ground she holds her arms up again, displeased with being out of her father's hands. She's a daddy's girl for sure. He looks down at her and puts his hands on his hips. "You're a big girl, Sophie. You don't need me to carry you."

"Yes I do!" she protests loudly, still reaching up for him. He smiles and scoops her up again, resting her on his hip and walking to the kitchen.

"Did mum make you a banana?" he asks, picking up the bowl on her high chair. She nods and takes a piece out, as does Harry. He looks at me and puts another piece in his mouth. "Thanks, mum."

"Harry, those are for Sophie. She wouldn't eat the grapes I gave her for a snack so she's eating these instead," I scold as I walk into the kitchen. He eats another piece and I roll my eyes.

"We have more, babe. We can share. Sharing is good, right Soph?" She nods and smiles widely at him as she takes another piece. He gives her an adoring smile and then looks to me. "See?"

"Alright fine, but you should eat that fast. I've been waiting for you so we can leave." I walk through the halls of our bungalow home and to our bedroom. I take the bag off the ground by the door and get an overnight bag for Sophie and walk back out to the entrance.

"Where are we going?" Harry asks. Well, more whines. "I just got home. It's Friday. I want to relax."

"Stop your whining and call your mother so she can watch Sophie. I'm-" as if on cue I get another pain through my abdomen, worse this time than the last. Harry's eyes go wide as I lean against the wall and put my hand on my belly. He walks quickly over to me and puts a hand on my back.

"Are you okay?"

So clueless sometimes. "Not really. I'm kind of in labour."

His eyes go wide and his face slightly pales at my words. Suddenly he starts running around like a chicken with his head cut off and Sophie's head bobbing up and down as he runs throughout the house.

"Okay! Stay calm! Get the coats, you get your shoes on. I'll go get Sophie's bag. Ours is packed I'll get that too." He puts Sophie down and points her towards me. "Soph, get your shoes on, okay? You're going to Grandma's house. Do you want your pillow? Babe, do you want yours? Where the hell is the overnight bag, I packed it a few days ago!"

"Harry! Stop!" He spins around and looks at me. "First of all, watch your mouth. Second, I already have the bags. They're right here." I point to the ground beside me and he looks at them and runs his hand through his hair. "Come here," I laugh, holding a hand out to him. He gives me an embarrassed smile as he walks over. I put my hands on either side of his face.

"Take a breath. Everything is fine. Call your mother and ask her to meet us at the hospital and then we'll go." He takes a deep breath and rests his hands on my stomach. I put my hands on his. "We're having another baby."

He smiles widely and leans down to give me a gentle kiss.

"We're having another baby."

"The next one will be in about twenty seconds," the doctor says as I stop pushing.

"Harry?" I say, trying to catch my breath. He hasn't left my side once and I'm sure I'm crushing his hand right now.

"I'm right here, baby," he coos, smoothing my hair. "You're doing so good."

"I'm never having sex with you again." Damn it, this hurts. He chuckles and my whole body starts hurting again as the next contraction starts.

"Okay, push!" the doctor commands.

- - - - - - - -

"Harry we went through this last time. We are not naming her Darcy."

He reaches over and gently brushes the infant's cheek with his thumb as he responds. "I think she looks like a Darcy."

"I hope no one looks like a Darcy," I retort, finally tearing my eyes away from my baby and smiling at him. We're both sitting in my hospital bed, me tucked under his arm leaning into his body and the baby lying asleep in my arms. He laughs and kisses my cheek.

"You did so good," he compliments, staring into my eyes. "You're amazing."

I thought with time maybe my relationship with Harry would change; you know, the boring marriage thing. But whenever he looks into my eyes like that my stomach does summersaults and my heart just melts. There's so much love and affection in those green eyes of his that I could just cry. I just smile and he leans forward to kiss me, lingering longer than I expected. His tongue traces my bottom lip and I pull back with a laugh.

"We're not making out right now," I whisper, kissing him quickly once more. He rolls his eyes and we both look back at our beautiful newborn. We had another girl and now we're trying to decide on a name. Harry won't give up on the name Darcy.

"What about...Charlotte?" he suggests, putting his finger in her hand. She slightly curls her tiny digits around his, but she's sleeping so the movement is minimal.

"She doesn't look like a Charlotte," I mutter, staring at her beautiful little face.

"Umm..Ella?"

"No."

"Babe, you can't just say no to every name."

I laugh and lean my head against his shoulder. "It has to be perfect, Harry. A name is very important."

"I should have put that name book thing in the bag," he says, kissing the top of my head. "You should probably sleep anyway. You must be exhausted."

"Yes, well nineteen hours of labour does that to you."

He chuckles and puts takes his arm from around my shoulders. "Can I hold her?"

"She's yours, remember?" I tease. He smiles and I gently place her in Harry's arms. "Support her head."

"I've held a baby before, Lan. We had one two years ago, remember?" He winks at me as I roll my eyes, then turns to the little one in his arms. She blinks slowly a few times and he once again places his finger in her tiny hand. "Hi there, princess," he whispers. He stares down at her with an immense amount of love, smiling and gently rocking her a little. I lean my head against his shoulder and watch as she opens her eyes and peers up at her father. Harry grins ear to ear, lifting her a little and leaning his head down to kiss her forehead. As he sits back again a tear rolls down his cheek.

"I love you," I whisper in his ear, placing a kiss on his cheek as well.

Harry's POV

I tear my eyes away from my beautiful baby and turn to gaze into the eyes of the love of my life.

"I love you too." She reaches up and wipes a tear off my cheek. I knew I would cry; I was a mess when Sophie was born. I couldn't control it. This is a little less embarrassing.

This is something I never thought I would have. An amazing, loving, beautiful wife and two amazing little girls. I don't think I could have dreamed of being this happy or this lucky.

"So, you were joking about the whole never having sex again thing, right?" I ask her, giving her a smirk. She laughs and folds her arms.

"I haven't decided."

"You said that when you were having Sophie, too," I remind her.

"And I fell for your incredible charm. Now look where we are," she says, glancing down at the baby in my arms.

"I know you can't resist me."

She rolls her eyes and we both laugh. Yeah, we still can't keep our hands off each other after being married for three years. Neither of our girls were planned (not that we see them as mistakes, we love them obviously). There's a knock on the door and one of the nurses comes in.

"Your family is in the hallway, would you like them to come in?"

"Yes, please," Lana says kindly. She nods and smiles at us, then walks back out. Seconds later Sophie comes running in.

"Daddy!" she squeals, standing beside the bed and holding her arms up to me. I probably spoil her a little...but I can't help it! She's so cute and she's my baby.

"Hi, baby girl." She continues holding her arms up, now looking a little impatient since I haven't picked her up yet. Lana sits forward and motions for her to walk around.

"Soph, come around to mum's side." Sophie looks to me and I nod my head in Lana's direction to encourage her. She pouts and stomps around the bed, Lana and I laughing quietly as she walks with her head hung lower than before. Lana reaches down to lift her.

"Hold on, let me do it." Her dad comes into the room and walks quickly to Sophie, lifting her onto Lana's lap. "You just had a baby, sweetheart. Take it easy." He leans down and kisses the top of her head, then peers over the girls to the baby in my arms. "She's beautiful."

"Yeah," I agree, wiggling my finger in her tiny hand. She continues to stare up at me and it makes me smile. I feel her hand tighten a little around my finger and I feel myself tear up again.

"That's your baby sister. She's going to come home with us," Lana says to Sophie, putting her hand on the baby's leg. I look over at Sophie and she scrunches her nose up.

"Why?" she asks, moving closer on her mother's lap. Lana puts on arm across Sophie's belly to make sure she doesn't get too close. I hate it when that three-letter word leaves her mouth. Explaining things to a two year old is harder than I thought.

"Well, remember how mummy had a big round belly?" Lana asks. Sophie continues to stare at the baby in my arms. "Well, she was inside there. And you were too before you were born. That makes you sisters."

She's way better at that than me.

"How did she get there?" Sophie asks.

"Get where?"

"In your belly," Sophie clarifies. I smirk and look at Lana, who gives me a 'help me' expression.

"That's all you," I laugh, turning back to the infant who is still peering up at me.

"Okay, here's your pudding Sophie!" Lana breathes a sigh of relief as my mother comes in the room and rescues her from answering that question. Sophie gives one last questioning look to the baby and sits on her bum on Lana's lap as my mum passes her the container. She turns to me and looks down at the baby, tears already in her eyes.

"Here she is, mum," I say quietly, looking back down.

"Oh my goodness." She gently puts her hand on the top of the baby's head. "She's perfect."

"Isn't she?" I confirm, beaming down at her. I reluctantly tear my eyes away. "Do you want to hold her?"

"Very much." She bends down and carefully takes her out of my arms, gently bouncing her in her own and putting her finger in her hand the way I did. "Hi there, sweetheart. I'm your grandma, yes I am. Aren't you precious."

"Dad, did she call?" Lana asks. I put my arm back around her and reach over with my other hand to wipe some pudding off of Sophie's face.

"No, I'm sorry. I tried to get a hold of her."

"It's fine. I didn't expect her to be here," Lana says quietly. I squeeze her shoulder to comfort her. Lana's relationship with her mother is rocky at best, but she still loves her and wanted her to be able to be here. Of course the witch couldn't even make an effort to be there for the birth of her second grandchild.

"Bloody hell. Which room is it again, Eleanor?"

Here we go.

"Oh, it's here!" Louis comes walking in with Eleanor right behind him. They completely ignore us as they admire our newborn in my mother's arms.

"She's so cute! Wow I forgot how tiny they are," El says.

"Got her mother's good looks," Louis agrees.

"I'm right here, Lou," I say. "Also, how many times do I have to tell you not to swear around my kid?"

"That would be kids with an 's' now, mate," he says, ignoring the question. He takes another look at the baby and walks around to Lana's side of the bed. "How are you doing, love?"

"I'm okay. A little sore," Lana says, scooping out the last of the pudding. Sophie takes it in her mouth and crawls onto my now open lap. Louis takes the empty container and spoon and sets it on the table for her.

"Well, I would think so. You just pushed that baby out of your-"

"Louis!" Lan and I shout in unison.

"What?" he asks innocently. He's going to be the uncle that teaches my kids the inappropriate things, I can tell you that right now. Sophie's like fifth word was shit because of him. It took us a while to get her to stop saying it. He makes a funny face at her and she leans back against me and starts giggling. He holds his hands out and she crawls back across Lana to get to him. He sits her on his lap.

"Uncle Lou want a baby?" she asks sweetly. He gives us a weird look and we both shrug.

"Me and Auntie El just got married, pumpkin. Not yet." He looks over at El and winks. "Although, we have been trying. Well, she's still on the pill so I guess we aren't trying that hard."

"Louis, seriously?" Lana scolds, smacking his arm. Sophie pouts and folds her arms over her chest.

"What's wrong?" Louis asks, pinching her nose.

"I don't want it. Daddy was holding it instead of me," she says grumpily, staring downwards.

"She, not it," Lana corrects. Sophie doesn't acknowledge her.

"That's your sister, Soph. I have a bunch of sisters, and you know what?" He lifts her head to look at him. "It's the best. Sisters are awesome."

"Really?" she asks, smile starting to appear on her face. I smile to myself and Lana leans into me more.

"Oh yeah," Louis says, nodding his head. "You're the luckiest girl in the world."

She smiles and Louis holds up his hand, which she high-fives. She crawls back onto Lana's lap and Lana winces when she sits up on her knees to reach her face. I reach over with my free arm and pull Sophie onto my lap, which she for once seems to mind.

"Mummy has an owie, Soph. Sit with me, okay?"

"I want she to sleep in my room," Sophie says, putting one hand on my cheek and pointing with the other towards my mum and the baby.

"You do? Why?" I ask her.

"Because if she has a scary dream I can help. I have them sometimes, remember daddy?" I smile at her and nod my head, then lean forward and kiss the tip of her nose.

"That's sweet, baby girl."

El takes the baby from my mum and sits on the end of the bed, beaming down at her. "What's her name?" she asks.

"That's a good question," Lana laughs tiredly.

"What about Abigail?" I suggest. Lana looks up at me, thinking. After a minute she smiles and looks at Sophie.

"What do you think, Soph?" Sophie nods her head and sticks her thumb in her mouth, leaning on her side against my chest. She seems quite tired; that explains all the pouting. "I like it," Lana says to me. "You've never suggested that before."

I shrug. "I just thought of it."

"It's perfect," she says quietly, tilting her head up. I lean down and meet my lips with hers softly. "Abigail Darcy Styles."

Lana's POV

"Come on, hand her over," I command, holding my hands out to Niall. He pouts and shifts away from me. "Niall, come on!"

"Five more minutes," he bargains. "She's asleep anyway, what's the difference if she's in here or in her crib?"

I roll my eyes and sit on the couch beside him. Eleanor, Louis, Niall and Mia are all over at our house. They made us dinner and all wanted to see the baby again. Niall and Mia are still together, but they're not married yet. I have no idea why, but they're taking their time I guess.

"How is Sophie doing with her?" Mia asks. Harry and I exchange a knowing look.

"She's umm...adjusting," Harry says.

"Hardly. Whenever you're holding Abby she has a fit," I laugh. It's only been a month, so I guess it'll take more time for Soph to get to the idea of another baby.

"You're going to be so outnumbered, Haz," Niall says. "You need to have another one and make sure it's a boy."

"Yeah, I'll get right on that," Harry says sarcastically. Everyone laughs and I hold my arms out again.

"Okay, time for her to go to bed." Niall pouts again and I shake my head. "Niall, give me my baby."

"Fine." He hands her over and squeezes her foot as I adjust her position. "Goodnight, Abby," he coos. I stand and walk down the hall to the nursery. I kiss her forehead and place her gently in her crib.

"Goodnight, sweetheart."

I close the door gently and jump when I turn and see Harry. He chuckles and kisses me.

"Sorry, babe. But you didn't let me say goodnight." He steps around me and quietly walks into the room. I lean against the doorframe and watch as he whispers to her, reaching down into the crib. When he's done he walks back over to me and shuts the door.

"I kinda like you, did you know that?" I tell him, wrapping my arms around his waist. He smiles down at me and presses a soft and sweet kiss to my lips.

"Yeah, you're growing on me too."

- - - - - -

My eyes force themselves open when the crying comes through the baby monitor beside me. It's been twenty minutes since I fed her..how can she be awake already?! I start to sit up but Harry gently pulls me back down and kisses my cheek.

"I've got her, babe." He gets out of bed and goes to the nursery. I listen with a smile on my face as he starts speaking gently to the baby. After a minute or two the crying stops; I'm going to have another daddy's girl on my hands. He's so good with her. As I'm drifting back to sleep I hear his gentle singing coming through the monitor.

"Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old

And I never thought through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
Isn't she lovely made from love"
