Chapter 17
Jackie's POV
I walked home alone, because the girls had plans. I had my earbuds in playing one of my favorite songs called Marry Me by Train. I watched as the colorful leaves blew around on the pavement, I smiled. I walked into my driveway and opened the door. I shut the door and threw all my things on the ground. I let out a huge sigh. Today Robert hurt me bad, I already have bruises forming on my neck, hands and thighs.
I noticed that Jason is not home, dammnit. Whatever, I ran up to my room and changed into this. Maybe I should take Buddy for a walk, yeah I'll do that. I stuffed my earbuds in my ear and trotted down the stairs. I called Buddy and put his leash on. I locked the house back up and started walking down the street.
I walked over to the sidewalk and stepped over a giant puddle. I turned onto the trail to town, but I saw signs ahead that said to take a detour. I turned around and cut through the woods, one place I never dared to go to when I was little. I heard footsteps behind me through my earbuds. Whatever, I must be hearing things.
Buddy sniffed more than a billion trees, I'm getting pretty annoyed. I unplugged one of my earbuds and suddenly I got a text.
Liam Payne: Hey, wanna hang out?
Me: Um.. I'm currently lost, so idk..
Liam Payne: Wat do u mean? xx
Me: I'm in the woods, I was walking my dog.
Liam Payne: oh, lol. I'm in the woods, too. ;)
He's stalking me!
Me: Stalker. lml
Liam Payne: Wanna hang out tho? Oh nd' look behind u. :3
I looked behind me, I litterally jumped five feet into the air. Liam just chuckled, Buddy started barking.
"You should be more careful." Liam laughed as he helped me up.
"Whatever, what are you doing following me around!?" I questioned.
He shrugged and smirked, "I dunno."
"You should know, how did you even find me?" I asked.
''I was walking home and I saw you head into the woods, so I followed you." he said, while biting his lip.
''Weird, well I should be going now." I mumbled.
"So do you want to hang out?" he asks.
I shrugged, "Sure, at my house though." I stated.
"Okay" he winks.
