Dont look Away
UPHILL : DOWNHILL
I woke up feeling worn out as if I had actually been running. The sweat trailing down the small of my back was chilling me faster than the heater in my room allowed. The dreams had become more ellaborate and wild as the weeks after the attack left me dazed and confused. I barely registered the presence of anyone now. Like a ghost, I drifted in and out of consciousness. The activity leading up to my families departure was anything but slow. We were allowed to pack a suitcase apiece and in under an hour, we left my childhood home behind. They briefed us on our new identities. We were now the Lowell family. My new name was Alexia Dani Lowell. This sparked in the back of my mind. I had always hated my name. Rebecca Silver, what a name!?! Under normal circumstances, I would be singing right now. Of course, when we reached the airport and I learned we were moving to LA? HELLO! Sparks were flying. Still, the moment passed and a dark cloud ascended on my short firework of happiness. We got on plane and I just laid my head back, listening to the sound of the people all around me. When we reached the steps of our new home, it was nearly four o'clock in the morning. I drifted off to sleep as soon as I reached the room that would be my home for the next while. That was when the first nightmare attacked me.
