Riley's POV:

"You look... clean." I smirked, hopping inside Harry's truck. His eyes raked from the top of my head all the way to my feet and revealed a cheeky smile.

"You too." He laughs, pulling out of my driveway and heading down the street. "Do you like sushi?" He asks, a little nervously.

"Not really..." I murmur, and the car stops.

"Oh fuck, Zayn told me that you--"

"I'm just fucking with you!" I smile, and so does he. "Don't be so nervous Harry, it's just a date." I giggle as he continues driving.

Harry's POV:

Just a date? How is she so calm?! The last time I went on a date was freshman year with Seth's sister, and that was just a miserable, miserable time. Riley looks so beautiful too, it's effortless for her to look that good.

The rest of the ride is mindless chatter and flirtation amongst the two of us, and when I pulled up to the place her jaw dropped open.

"We're eating here?" She gasps, and I nod my head. Like the gentleman that I am, I swung around her side and opened her door.

We settled inside and sat down at our table, because like the slick mother fucker I am, I made reservations. Well, Niall made the reservations for us. He's pretty good with this kind of stuff, and I haven't got the slightest idea what I'm doing.

"So I have to take a new student around school tomorrow." Riley whines with a little laugh.

"What for?" I ask and she rolls her eyes.

"Because that's my punishment for everything horrible I've done lately." She sighs, and I reach across the table to take her hand.

"You've done nothing wrong, I promise." I reassure her and she batts her pretty eyelashes at me. She's so god damn beautiful.

"Oh am I?" She chuckles, and my cheeks stain rosy red. Did I actually say that out loud?! Play it cool, Styles.

"You are." I coo, and I notice how goose bumps flair all over her arms. "Who's the nervous one now, huh?" I ask, and she blushes too... So now we're even.

"Shut up!" She smiles, kicking me under the table. That smile... just wow.

"I honestly had such a good time, Harry!" She sighs, but I don't believe her.

"The waiter spilled your drink down the entire front of your dress, you couldn't have had a good time." I groan. Why fucking me?

"Hey... look at me." She says, standing up from my basement couch and cupping my face in her hands. "I love you, and that was a lot of fun." She whispers, looking me dead in the eyes. My whole insides ignite when she tells me she loves me... We don't say it often.

"I love you too, Ri." I say it back, and the cutest little smile curls at the corners of her mouth. I take this opportunity to close the space between us and press my lips to hers, starting the fire that we were both feeling inside. She responded slowly, but with as much heat and passion that I knew she had in here.

"Harry..." She moaned, and I continued the innocent assault of her mouth as my hands traveled up and down her little grey dress.

"Hmm?" I respond, wrapping my arms around her lower half and reaching for the zipper of her dress.

"Harry, stop." She says, breaking the kiss and I immediately pull away.

"I'm sorry Ri I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable... I thought you wanted to-- I'm such an idiot." I say, sitting down and shaking my head back and forth repeatedly at my idiotic self.

"You're not an idiot." She sighs, sitting beside me. "I did want to... I just don't think I'm ready."

"I completely understand babe. I'm so sorry I tried to rush anything...."

"You didn't try to rush, and don't apologize!" She states with a small chuckle. Her finger lifts my chin up to look at her and I can't help but smile at her swollen lips and shimmering eyes.

"Look, the last two times I did anything with a guy, I didn't have a choice." She shivers, and I quickly wrap my arms around her and pull her tiny frame into my lap. "I want to do... it with you." She laughs and so do I. "But I'm just not ready... yet"

"I'd wait forever for you." I tell her, and mean it. I haven't had sex in the longest time and I honestly think I'd wait years if it meant she felt safe and happy.

"You won't have to wait forever... but maybe just a little while longer?" She asks, and I nod. We kiss once again, this time shorter and a little less excitedly. The passion is still there, but the lust has dimmed for the time being.

"Harry? Are you down there?" My mom calls from upstairs. For fucks sake.

"I think I'm gonna head home, alright?" Riley smiles, probably noticing how tense I got that my mom interrupted is.

"You don't have to, I can make her go away." I whisper, pressing our foreheads together gently.

"Harry?" My moms voice grows a little louder, making Riley chuckle in my grasp.

"I love you... I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"

Riley's POV:

"I love you more, I'll pick you up in the morning." He smiles, pecking my cheek and walking me towards the back door.

As I strut across the street back to my house, I feel like I'm walking on air. My mind is infatuated with Harry at the moment... he'd wait for me forever. Nick couldn't even wait a year before forcing himself on me. I have never felt so much love and sadness at the same time, and it's all stemming from the same source.

The plus side to all of this, is that the love Harry has for me conquers all. I may have a school full of people who judge me, a nasty ex best friend and disappointed adults in my life... but I have Harry. What more do I need then that incredible guy?

Tomorrow is a new day, and I honestly feel things might start looking up for me.
