Olivia’s P.O.V
I woke up at 9:00 and began to get dressed. When I was finished I walked to the kitchen and began to make me, Jason, and Isabella pancakes since they would be here at 9:30. Clair would be here if she didn’t have school.
When I finished Jason walked in with Bella still in her pajamas. She ran and gave me a hug.
“Hi mamma.” She said as I picked her up.
“Hey bubba. I made pancakes.” I said setting her in her high chair. When I sat the plate of pancakes in front of her she clapped her hands together and laughed. I handed Jason a plate and he began to eat.
“So what’s your plan for today sis?” he asked me as I washed dishes.
“Well Bella and I are going to the park and having a picnic with Cody and then who knows what.” I said rinsing off the bowl I used to make the mix.
“Sounds like fun. I’ll be asleep because the two little devils kept me up all night.” He said talking about Clair and Bella. I rolled my eyes and put the last dish away.
“Whatever.” I said turning around and seeing him take his last bite. He tried to hand me his plate but I told him to wash it himself. He groaned and washed it anyways and then left. Bella and I finished our breakfast and then I gave her a bath and dressed her. By the time I was finished it was 11:00 so I decided to go shopping for Bella.
I made sure I had my keys, wallet, phone, and of course Bella then I picked her up and walked to my car. I placed Bella in her seat and buckled her then I got in my seat and drove off.
“Were we go mamma?” Bella asked from her seat.
“To get you clothes, a costume and maybe a toy.” I replied. When we got to the store we shopped until 11:45 so we wouldn’t be late for our lunch with Cody. When we got to the park it was a little after 12. I found Cody sitting on a blanket under a tree and I walked over to him.
“Sorry we were late. I had to get her a costume for tonight.” I said sitting down and setting Bella in my lap. She waved to Cody and he waved back.
“Why did you have to get her a costume?” he asked me as he began to take the food out of the basket he brought along with him.
“Tonight is Halloween and Jason and I are taking her and Clair trick-or-treating.” I said.
“Oh I could come if your brother doesn’t want to.” Cody said handing Bella a Sippy cup with apple juice in it. We both love apple juice.
“I’ll text him. Cody this is Isabella or Bella. And Bella this is mommy’s friend Cody.” I said introducing them.
“Hewo Cody.” Bella said after taking a drink of her sippy cup. I love how she says hello since she can’t say her l’s yet.
“Hello Bella. Your mommy is very pretty.” Cody said looking at her then smiling up at me. I felt my cheeks turn red.
“Thanks.” I said as he handed me a sandwich. He nodded his head. Once we were all done eating Cody went and pushed Bella on the swings as I watched them. It was colder than it was this morning when I left so I began to shiver. I wish I would have wore a sweat shirt or at least something with sleeves. Cody ran back over with Bella in his arms.
“You look cold babe.” He examined after setting Bella down.
“I’m fine.” I lied. He gave me his sweatshirt anyways and then sat Bella in his lap. An older lady who had been watching us walked over to us.
“Your daughter and looking at her parents that’s understandable.” She said. I went to say that Cody wasn’t her dad before he cut me off.
“Thank you m ’am.” He said and then she walked away. I looked at him and he just gave me a cheeky smile.
“Really?” I asked him laughing. He just nodded his head laughing.
“Mamma I sweepy.” Bella said yawning and leaning back into Cody.
“Ok bubba. We’ll go home so you can take your nap.” I said standing up.
“Why don’t you guys come back to my house? She can take her nap in my bed.” Cody offered standing up.
“Do you want to go to Cody’s house?” I asked her. She excitedly but tiredly nodded her head yes.
“Just follow me.” Cody said handing me Bella then kissing my cheek. I walked back to my car wondering if that was just a friendly kiss or what. I followed Cody to his house and then I carried a sleeping Bella inside. He then led me to his room so I could lay her down. I then walked out and followed Cody to his living room and sat on the couch next to him.
“I’m sorry about all the crap I gave you in high school about being a mom. You are a really great mom and I can tell you guys adore each other.” Cody said.
“Thanks. You’re great with her also. She is normally very shy around new people.” I said.
“She’s great. Who is her dad?” Cody asked me. I was kind of weary to tell him but I figured that he should know.
“Her dad Harry Styles.” I said looking at him to see his reaction. He looked shocked.
“As in the Harry Styles that my sister freaks out about since he’s in One Direction?” Cody asked me. I nodded me head.
“Wow he could have anyone!” Cody said. I gave him a look asking him if he was seriously saying that.
“Wow thanks for reminding me Cody.” I replied dryly.
“He could and he had you one of the most amazing people I have ever known and he let both you and your guy’s daughter go. He’s stupid. If I were him I would regret that.” Cody said looking me in the eye. His eyes then traveled to my lips and he began to lean in until our lips were inches apart. I looked at him and then leaned in so we were kissing. When we pulled apart we were both smiling.
“I know that I have been rude to you and everything in the past but I was wondering if you would like to umm I don’t know. Maybe go out?” Cody asked nervously. I began to laugh and he snapped his head up with a hurt look.
“I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing because I waited so long for you to say those words in high school. I would love to be your girlfriend though.” I replied smiling. He grinned back and pulled me into a hug.
“Movies, cuddling, and popcorn?” Cody asked me. I nodded my head. He told me to pick out the movies while he got the popcorn and blankets. I picked out (500) Days of Summer, Pitch Perfect, and Twilight. It kind of worried me why he had so many quote on quote chick flicks so I asked him when he got back. He said that they were his sisters. I nodded my head and then we both got under the blanket and I snuggled into him.
“You’re very warm I hope you know.” I said looking up at him. He began to laugh at my comment.
“And you’re very cold. Maybe that makes me warm blooded and you cold blooded.” He replied laughing. I gave him an offended look and he puckered up but I put my hand in front of my lips and began the movie.
Skip 3 Hours
In the past three hours we have watched movies and when Bella woke up her and Cody played hide and seek. I was told I was no fun since I didn’t want to play. It wasn’t Bella who said it….it was Cody. I just rolled my eyes at him. Right now we are in Cody’s car and are on our way to pick Clair up from school so I can get her and Bella ready for tonight. When we got to the school Clair was sitting on a bench with her friends and when she saw me she got in the car.
“Hey ClairBear.” I said as she buckled.
“Hey LivBiv. Who’s this?” she asked me as Cody drove off.
“This is my friend Cody.” I replied. Clair nodded her head. We sang along to the radio. When we got back to my house I got Bella changed as Clair changed and Cody watched TV. When both the girls were ready I curled their hair and put a little makeup on them and then I changed into a Halloween sweater and fixed my hair and makeup then we were ready to go. I placed got Bella’s stroller because I knew that she would fall asleep.
We walked house to house for what seemed like hours and when I looked at my phone I saw it had actually been two hours. By this time Bella was asleep in the stroller and Clair was too tired to walk so Cody carried her home. When we got back to the house I told Cody that I would talk to him later and then he laughed.
I changed Bella out of her costume and then put her to bed. I went to check on Clair and found her asleep with the cover off of her so I tucked her in then left her room. I changed myself and sat on my bed watching Grown Ups when my phone vibrated.
Cody: Night babe.
Liv: Night
I placed my phone back on the table next to my bed and slowly drifted off to sleep.
