HARRY'S P.O.V

I stared at my phone for what seemed like forever before I got out of my car, I walked towards the guest house and went to knock, I pulled my hand back and turned to walk away before stopping myself.

'do it coward' i said to myself

I walked back towards the door and knocked softly, I waited a few seconds before turning around. I heard the door opened and I turned, I smiled seeing her standing there, she looked so beautiful

"Harry" she said softly

"Hi, I umm just wanted to come by and see if you were ok" I said, she smiled

"ya"

"ok...good" I said

"would you like to come in" she asked, i smiled

"really" I asked, she nodded her head and moved to the side. I walked in the guest house and waited for her to shut the door

"I was just watching 'how i met your mother'" she said

"I love that show" I replied following her towards the bed, she sat down and patted the spot next to her

"I dont bite" she said, i chuckled and sat down

"I should be telling you that" I said, I mentally slapped myself for that one "im sorry I shouldnt..."

"its ok" she said "im starting to get a little better, the longer I am here" she said I smiled

"good"

"how was your night" she asked

"it was good, I met up with 3 friends at the pub down the street. I dont get to see my friends much living in London so it was nice"

"thats good"

"how was your night" I asked

"umm...I took a nap"

"is that why you didnt come to dinner" I asked, she nodded her head

"I had a bad dream, I just wanted some time alone to recover from it" she said, i looked at her and saw the sadness deepen in her eyes

"what kind of dream" I asked carefully

"it was about my ex, it was a reoccurring dream"

"did it happen in real life" i asked, she nodded her head and hugged her legs closer to her body

"im sorry he hurt you physically and emotionally"

"he didnt..."

"Nikki...he did, I saw the bruise under your eye when you arrived, I know he hurt you physically. I promise I wont tell anyone" I said, she sighed and nodded her head

"he hit me....he hit me a lot" she said

"why didnt you leave him"

"I was terrified, he is older, and also he is a detective"

"oh" I said, she nodded

"he would get so mad so easy....he would yell, he would throw things, he would push me, and hit me....slap me, punch me, he would kick me, choke me....you name it he would do it"

"for how long"

"on and off for 2 years" she said, I sighed and looked at the beautiful girl in front of me "what if he finds me"

"He wont, I promise....Nikki what happened that night...the night you left" I asked, she looked up at me and closed her eyes "hey its okay, im sorry thats too far you dont have to answer" I said pulling her to me, I hugged her close and took in her scent. How could someone hurt this girl, she was so sweet and so innocent.
