Sammy's p.o.v.

To say that last night was intense would be an understatement.It is 6 in the morning and I'm still in bed with Chloe.She cried herself to sleep. It didn't matter what I said. I can't understand what she is going thru, nobody can. My mom would never call me a slut or anything like that. I quietly stood up and left her room. I took a shower and got ready. Then I made my way over to the guestroom where Harry is staying. He was still asleep. I gave him a kiss on his cheek, he moved a little. I kissed him again and again he moved a little. But he was still asleep. I bent down for a third kiss. Harry unexpectedly moved his face and I kissed his lips and not his cheek.

"And that's how you need to wake me up" He said

"I'll keep that in mind" I told him

"What's the time? And how long have you been awake?" He asked

"It's 7. I didn't really sleep. Chloe was a mess. I have never seen her like this. She was young when her mom left her. And with everything she said yesterday. Chloe's dislike in her mom has turned into hate"

"You can't really blame her for hating her drug using, name calling and child abandoning mother"

"Yeah you're right"

"Like I always am"

"It's just that she was different when she married dad. She was nice and caring. She treated me right. I'm wondering what happened to that Lindsey?"

"People change. And she needs help. Maybe you can help her after you graduate" He laughed

"Oh yeah that's why I'm studying to be psychologist, so I can help my crazy family" I said " You should get ready. It's Monday. I'm going to say bye to everyone. And I meet you downstairs for breakfast in 1 hour, okay?"

"Sure. But what am I going to wear?. I wasn't really prepared for a sleepover"

"I asked alex. You can pick anything out of his closet"

I gave him one last kiss and left. I said goodbye to all my siblings. They were all getting ready for school. I wasn't going to forget my dad. I'm sad that he's leaving but i'm used to it now. I knocked on the door of dad's study.

"Come in!"

I entered the room. "Hi dad"

"Hello sweetheart. How are you feeling? How's Chloe?"

"I'm good. Chloe is going to be fine. She is shaken up by yesterday's events but she is a tuff one"

"That she is. I presume you are leaving for uni?"

"Yes and I presume you are leaving for work?"

"I am. Just for 1 Week I will be back next monday or tuesday. But I wanted to talk to you about something. I was going to ask you last night before the unexpected turned up"

"I hope the unexpected stays away. She is unwanted in this family and what was it that you wanted to ask?"

"Well do you know who Courtney Roberts is?"

"Are you joking dad? Of course I know who she is. She is my rolemodel. I want to be a successful psychologist just like her. And also follow her steps in other things. Like her charity fund and her social work that she does in her free time."

"I thought you would like to know that one lucky student every year gets to assist her on her cases and get some extra credit and not to forget the experience"

"Dad I know that. You have to send some papers and report cards to her"

"Did you?"

"I wanted to. But she would never choose me. There are over 1 miljoen students that want that position"

"Have a little faith angle. Her brother happens to be a business partner of mine and I gave him everything he needed of you. He gave everything to Courtney and she is really impressed with you. She wants you to be an intern. And if everything works out she might offer you a job."

"Me? An intern? and maybe become a part of her team?. This is amazing. And with the credit I can pass my class. And I can easily combine study with work."

"So I can tell her that you accept the offer? Your work starts next month but it's wiser to move there now so you can adjust."

"Move?"

"Oh I totally forgot. She is opening another practice in New York and that's where she wants you"

"But what about you guys?. I can't leave my family and friends for a year. And if I get a job offer then I will be there even longer. My life is here in California."

"Well sweetie that's how life is you have to grab every opportunity you get"

"And Harry. I can't leave him dad. I love him. Is this why you are telling me this now to get me away from him? I thought you liked him"

"I do but this is a chance of a lifetime Sameera. It's time to be a little selfish"

"I don't think I can do this. I'm sorry dad. I'm saying no."

"Okay listen I will give you 1 week the time to think about it. When I return I will ask you again and if you say no then, I will accept it and never ask you again."

"I don't think my answer will change. But I'll think about it"

I gave dad a big hug. I was happy that he got me this chance but I would never leave this place. My life is here.

I walked downstairs and everyone was eating their breakfast. Harry sat in between Ian and Alex. I don't think I'm going to tell him about anything what dad said He will probably get upset that I said no because of him. an he will feel bad. I sat down next to Chloe.

"Sammy you okay?" Asked Ian

"Yeah just thinking about something" I replied

"Okay kids off to school. Alex can you take the boys and Chloe you the girls? I have to go meet a client and Meera already left" asked Mia

"Sure I'll drop them before I head to work" Said Alex

"Can someone cover for me?" Chloe asked. She probably doesn't want the leave the house now.

"It's okay I can take the girls" Said Luke coming from the stairs

"Are you sure Luke?" Mia asked

"Yeah no problem." Luke answered

Harry's p.o.v.

Sammy was still thinking about something. She didn't say a single word. She just gave me a kiss and told me she would see me later when we arrived at our campus.
Maybe she was thinking about Chloe. I don't know, It could be anything. But she would tell me if it's important. I trust her. I'll just wait till she is ready to talk.
