Harry’s POV:
It was Monday morning and I didn’t want to be at school. I hated school, and I didn’t even want to go to college. My boys and I had tried to find ways to kill Quinton without tracing it back to us, but there was no way to do it…well there was one way. It sounded crazy that we were going to kill him. We had killed people before, but no one this close.
“Is everything in place?” I asked my boys as they stood around my locker.
They all nodded, “Everything.” Liam was the only one to answer.
“In place for what?” I heard a small voice come from behind. I turned and saw Gabby standing there. Wide eyed and smiling. Ever since our date, everything has changed.
“Just for this weekend.” I smiled at her. There was no way I could get her involved in this. If they do trace it back to us, I did not need her name mentioned.
“Oh…” He voice trailed off and she looked at the ground.
“Leave.” I said quietly to all the boys. They obeyed and left me alone with Gabby.
“What’s wrong?” I took a step closer to her.
“I wanted to be with you this weekend.” She was still looking at the ground.
I took her hand in mine. She looked up, “Gabby, there is just something I have to do this weekend.”
“Is someone going to die?” She looked at me with sad eyes.
“Why would you say that?”
“Because, you’re in a gang.”
“That doesn’t mean we always kill someone.”
“So you guys just hang out?” She seemed confused.
“Yeah. We can just hang out.” I let go of her hand as I ended my sentence.
“Harry, you cant blame me for asking.”
I laughed, “Actually, I can. Just because I’m part of something you don’t understand, it doesn’t give you the right to assume things about me.”
“I’m sorry.”
The bell for first period rang.
“Whatever, Gabby.” I slammed my locker and left her standing with an open mouth.
Once Quinton was out of the picture, I hope things would be different.

Gabby’s POV:
I watched him walk away. I wasn’t going to see him for the rest of the day, seeing as we didn’t have health class today. I composed myself and walked into English. Quinton was on the other side of the room, like usual.
“Class!” My teacher tried to calm us all down as I took my seat. It was boring sitting at my group of two alone, I wanted someone to sit with.
“Class!” My teacher’s voice rose.
Everyone became quiet as someone walked through the door. It was Josh. I was actually excited to see him. I hope that he would sit next to me, and possibly brighten my mood.
“This is Joshua Styles, but he said you can all call him Josh.”
“Hi Josh.” The class murmured.
“You can sit right there.” He pointed to the seat next to me, “That’s Gabby. She is a wonderful student.”
I smiled and watched Josh walk back to our table.
“Hey.” He whispered as he sat down.
“I didn’t think you would be in any of my classes.”
“Luck of the draw, I guess.” He added a wink.
I didn’t know what to do, I just laughed. Mr. Shu gave us our assignment for the day and said we could work with our partner, meaning our tablemate.
“I have no idea what he just said.” Josh tried to laugh off his nervous tone.
“It’s fine, I can help you.” I felt bad, being new must really suck. Harry sure as hell wasn’t going to help him.
“Thanks, I wish I wasn’t so lost.”
“I can help you around the school too.”
I saw him look at me. “I mean…” I tried to save myself, “If you want me to.”
He smiled, “I would love that.”
It was quiet for a minute.
“Would you like to go out to lunch or something? I hear the cafeteria food sucks.”
I smiled. I knew I shouldn’t go out with him, but I felt like pissing Harry off.
“Sure.”
Whatever doubt that was evident on his face washed away. All I wanted to do was show Harry that I didn’t really need him. Even if that wasn’t true.
