Chapter Nine
Mia’s POV
I pulled back once I realised what I just did. I cheated on my boyfriend.
“Harry!” I whispered with wide eyes. I even kissed him back..
“I told you that I had a boyfriend!” I yelled biting my bottom lip.
“So what? We'll keep it secret baby.” He said kissing me again. I kissed back slightly but pulled back again.
"Harry I think you have to go" He stood up.
"I'll see you Monday" He winked and left.
How can he wink when he knows that I cheated on my boyfriend with him!
Once I heard the main door close I grabbed my phone and called Em right away.
“Emily! Please come over. Something bad has happened!”
“What’s wrong are you hurt or something” She asked worriedly .
“No, no but please I have something important to tell you”
“I’ll see you in 10” She said and hung up
I tugged on my blond hair, bit my lip and was walking in circles. I already lied to Nathan I couldn’t do it again. I was supposed to stay a loyal girlfriend. This is all my fault. I should’ve stayed with Nathan instead. What will he say about this. He’s going to be furious. I know he has cheated on me before but he didn’t mean to. It took me quite a while to forgive him but I did. And I think Harry is happy. I know he doesn’t like me with Nathan. I can tell by the way he tenses up when I say his name.
Then I heard the main door open.
“Mia!” Emily’s voice called
“Right here” opening my door for her to come in”
“Mia what happened” she rushed in and sat on my bed.
“It’s Harry... First he called me when I was with Nathan asking if I could come over but I declined. So he said he was coming here so I had no choice but to leave. So when he was here he came to my room and my mum had left a note saying she wasn’t home, so he started kissing my neck” I buried my head in my hands. “Then It became too far so I told him to stop. He did. So I was telling him things about myself and played a song on my guitar. Then he kissed me… two times “ I said in one breath.
“Oh Mia…”
“I know I did I bad thing and I feel really bad this is my fault…”
“No Mia this is not your fault. You didn’t see this coming. You stopped him”
“No Em, you don’t understand, I kissed him back” I said as she gasped. I felt so much guilt over me. I had never cheated on anyone.
“Then there’s one question left to ask”
“What…”
“Did you like it?” She asked.
I couldn’t like it. I didn’t like it. Stop it Mia you liked it. You know you did.”
“I… I did” I felt ashamed
“Mia I’m not sure if you and Nathan can keep this for long then. You can’t keep telling yourself you still have butterfly’s every time you see him when you don’t. I don’t see both of you hanging out as much as you used to.” She told me.
It was true. Everything she just said was true. I didn’t feel anything. Maybe It was just how we enjoyed each others company that made us stay together. But I hope the feeling is mutual. I didn’t want to leave him upset.
“It’s true...I whispered. But I can’t break up with him just yet. He’s leaving to Australia tomorrow morning. Very early”
“Then just leave him a note, later this week” She said.
“I still feel guilty.”
“There’s no reason to. You don’t have any feelings for him anymore.” I felt like there was a huge weight lifted from me. It always felt good talking to Em. She was my best friend. No like a sister.
“Thank you… I really needed that” I hugged her.
“Your welcome. Now let’s look for that apartment.” I instantly smiled.
