1 Month Later

I wake to the annoying ringing noise of my doorbell. I shoot up from my usual spot on the couch, and begin to head for the door. I quickly hold my head and curl up in a ball on the floor. I've been so lightheaded lately from my lack of eating and mobility that I sometimes pass out. I slowly regain my balance and walk baby step by baby step up to the door. I open the door to, nothing. Shocker. I go to shut the door, when Rosie runs up behind me and storms out the door. I begin to chase her, but then realize that she's bringing me to a package that was delivered to me. I pick it up and bring it into the house.

I just know in my gut that something's wrong. I take a pair of scissors and slice open the brown, frail, cardboard box. I open it to see a note on top of Styrofoam.

We recently have not heard from you, regarding your dog, Rosie. She was supposed to come for her monthly checkup last week. We have repeatedly left messages at your home, but unfortunately, none have been returned. We are hoping that this package gets to you. Inside, includes a new container of medicine for Rosie, which she was supposed to already be taking this entire wee ,but hasn't been due to your lack of showing up. We hope you do call us at 888-917-4468, and we will encourage you to continue your monthly appointments. See you soon!

I roll my eyes and crumple up the paper, throwing it across the room, causing Rosie to chase after it. I run my fingers through my knotted, blonde hair, frustrated. I'm frustrated with myself, all of my responsibilities, just life in general. I really just wish everything could be done with. I want it all to end. But I can't just leave Rosie with nobody. She's basically all I have. Which is depressing because she's only a dog.

I slowly stand up, and walk over to Rosie, who jumps up and down on my legs, scratching away leaving dark pink marks everywhere. I'm not even fazed at this point. "Do you even like the Vet?" I ask her. There Is silence. I sigh. I shut my eyes. "Do I bring you? Is that the right thing? What does the word "right" even mean anymore?" I say all of these random nonsense questions out loud to myself. I kneel down as Rosie plops on her back, waiting for me to attack her belly. I smiled at the sight. The first real smile in weeks. Right now, she's all that makes me the slightest bit happy. "You deserve better that me." I mumble. I pause. "C'mon baby. You need to see your doctor. I can't have my boo bear be sick." I coo to her. She sits up and pants, with her tongue just hanging there. I smirk and run my hand across her head.

I struggle up the stairs. I fall twice, but magically end up at the top. I throw on a random shit outfit and throw my hair in a bun. I honestly don't give a crap on what people think of me anymore. Its really not worth it at all. My motto is let them think what they want. I then hop down the stairs, and walk right out the door withmy partner on crime.

Okay guys! So this is the first chapter in the present time and I hope you guys like it! It's just a little fill-in because I'm getting my new glasses with a stronger prescription and can't see that well right now:) But I promise I have more coming today:) And it's going to be the same day. Now, I'm so sorry it's been like 12 days sine I last updated. I've been on vacation for that whole time and WAS going to update before I left, but I wasn't able to get to a computer, due to all of the packing drama. So yeah.
