Being Nervous
Mackenzie's P.O.V.
I took a deep breath as I walked towards my dorm, dragging my bags and guitar case with me. This was it. I was in University now. I was about to meet my new roommates.
My stomach churned as I got closer and closer to my room. I was never good at meeting new people. I always got all shy and flustered. I stopped outside the door. Room 111. This was it, my room. I sighed before opening the door.
At first I marvelled at how clean the room looked. Then I realised I was the first one here. Great. Now I got to spend more time worrying about what my roommates would be like.
"Hello?"
I turned around to be faced with a blonde girl, pulling her bags behind her, a smile on her face. "I'm Sam!" She grinned as she dropped one of her bags so she could offer me her hand. "Im Mackenzie" I mumbled shyly. She ignored my shyness and continued talking. "Pretty nice room,eh? Which bed did you have in mind?" She asked. I shrugged. "I don't really mind" I replied honestly. I wasn't really bothered. Sam made her way to the bed on the left and threw her bags on it. "So Mac, what are you studying here?" she asked. I felt myself smile at the familiar nickname.
Before I had a chance to reply the door opened again and another blonde girl walked in, carrying her bags.
She was pretty. Very pretty.
She looked like one of those popular girl types.
And trust me, I never got along with the popular girls. I was always too shy and too afraid to stand up for myself. However, my worries faded when she smiled widely. "Hey guys! I'm Piper!" She told us. "Sam!" Sam introdued herself from where she was settled on her bed. Piper turned to me. "I'm Mackenzie" I told her. She smiled again and then made her way to another one of the beds.
Maybe this wouldnt be so bad after all. My roomates seemed pretty nice.
