Philophobia

Chapter Sixteen

Hey guys, short note before you read. This is basically where the major plot starts. I'm sort of happy, because this is where the real major drama starts. Please comment what you think after this chapter, I tried to make it as long as possible for everyone! <3
(I got to stay home today, so I got to write;)

ALSO. Forget about that sneak peak.. I mean - yes it's still in the plot of this chapter, but I didn't follow it. I sort of added more, I guess you could say. Don't worry, it's still there.. sort of haha. JUST READ AND FIND OUT ;)
(I guess it wasn't a short note) .. Awkward. :D OKAY BYE.

What was I to expect? Practically invading his personal privacy, for answers I hardly know the question to. I suppose it was instinct, gut was pondering. My hands slightly gripping the wheel as I continued to think. My foot was out of habit, pushing the petal further to the floor of the vehicle, causing my speed to increase, along with the adrenalin.

Stay out of it. My brain reminded.

You should go... Why? I questioned Harry's fading voice.

My bottom lip was now being chewed by my teeth, helping my nerves relax slightly. Only then, when the lights had flicked off behind me, did I notice the speed I was going. The flashing blue and red reminding me to slow down, and pull over at a safe speed.

"Great," I released the breath I had been holding in. The bitterness tone now making my mood obvious.

It was only a matter of minutes, before the slight expected knock on my window had startled me from any further thought. Quickly, I rolled the windows down with hiding fear.

I put on my most convincing fake smile, assuring the officer I was indeed apologetic to my mistake. Only to be returned with a slight nod of could-care-less.

"Do you realize how fast you were driving, ma'm?" His inner thick southern asked. The same stereo typical questions you'd see in the movies. Reminding me of their bluntness and bore metre.

"Too fast," I replied hesitantly. My breath trailing with the cool breeze that joined the darkening sky.

The man's head ducked further, revealing a cold pair of grays and little facial hair. He appeared older than I, but younger than a further generation.

"It appears so.." The gum he chewed smacked with his words as he failed to multitask. "So heres what we're gonna do. You'll get a warning, and this never happened." He quickly continued, now leaning his head further into my space, the air thickening with his cheap minted breath.

"Thank you, officer!" I quickly but in, allowing the relief wash over me like a wave.

"Now hold on, I have a few questions."

My eyes quickly left his continuos gaze, nodding in agreement. My hands instinctively holding the wheel, gripping slightly in un-comfort.

"Where were you comin' from?" He asked with full curiosity, as his brows furrowed in thought.

"I uh -" Do I mention Harry as a friend? No. "- I had a to go see an old friend." Way to go, Jamie.

My lie worked, while he simple nodded, not dropping the odd frown. It was almost as if he were confused.. But why?

"I see, and I'm guessin' you's had a fight?" His hand gestured to the wheel, where my hands were now placed. Fingers tightly wrapped around it, securely.

"Uh, yeah. Just an argument, or disagreement you could say." I stuttered, quickly rushing through the sentence.

That wasn't a total lie, right?

"Was it far from here?" He interrogated.

Now it was my turn to look confused, allowing my eyes to meet his for the second time this night. "Excuse me?" I pardoned, slightly annoyed with the again, bluntness.

An impolite grunt was returned, while he snickered. Hesitantly pulling away from my car to reveal his full uniform. He appeared slightly well groomed, but the grease formed with his flow of hair had took away the title. Though he appeared rather fit, as his muscles tense and shift once he moved as far as an inch.

"I'll be seeing you," were his last words and a slight nod, before turning back to duty.

"Goodnight," I quickly replied before starting the engine to life.

It's been two days since Harry's and I's 'disagreement', and the strange encounter with the officer. My mind wonders back to that night, but I place it somewhere else. I won't jump this time. I can't. Look where it had got me the first time.

"So I was thinking," Hunter plotted beside me.

Currently, we're both watching the morning cartoons on the telly, not exactly in for an 'adventurous' day, while we were still lounging around in our pyjamas. Nothing you could say was new.

"What were you thinking?" I asked cautiously, not taking my attention away from the screen.

"We should go on a trip," she bubbled with excitement. Her tone made it obvious, but when I looked to see her smiling like a kid on christmas, I knew she wasn't kidding.

"Serious?" I asked, slightly more interested as I turned my attention towards her.

She nodded fast, and repeatedly. Her smile only growing larger. "Yes! Maybe we could to America, and visit their warm states. Or maybe Ireland, and see the fields. Maybe Australia during the winter, so we can have some more summer!" She continued to ramble, and pull weird faces. Only making me return a laugh.

"Hunter, with what money?" I questioned seriously.

It was instantly had I changed her mood, her not exactly pleased with my response. "Wait - no, I didn't mean it like that. I'm so -" "I got it." She huffed, before getting off the couch and storming towards her room.

Quietly I waited, soon hearing the expected slam of her bedroom door.

I gave a weak sigh, deciding to give her the moment away, and get dressed. Eventually following her footsteps down the hall, placing an ear against the wood of her door.

Nothing but soft breaths could be heard.. My brain arguing to enter.

No. I decided.

Quickly, I was changed and back out in the living room, not exactly caring for looks today due to the fact I likely wasn't leaving the house for anything.

Bang! The door busted slightly, scaring the all the living day light from me.

The loud knocking of course continued after one, causing me to shuffle carefully to the nearly exploding door.

"Your car is here, I know you're here! Open the damn door." The familiar voice cursed. Harry. The familiar rage and bitterness making it obvious.

"What do you want!" I boomed, while opening the door in the process. Likely looking annoyed, and bothered.

He seemed unfazed, yet pissed past beyond. "Was someone with you last night when you came to see me?"

What? "What?" I spoke my mind.

"Did someone follow you to me?!" He repeated loudly. Making my tower down slightly.

"N-No. Why would you think that? It was just me -" "shut up." He bit angrily, his breath huffing.

"Excuse me, I -" "I told you to shut up." He muttered lowly.

"I don't answer to you!" I fought, no way was I backing down from this. His tone completely blowing my anger that's now bursting from me.

"Looks like you're gonna learn." And with that, his large hand had a tight hold on my nearly bone wrist, as he practically crushed it. Pulling me along with him and to his car.

The door was slammed shut, as I was now seated in the passenger, angrily fighting it open but failed as he returned in the front seat next to me.

"Where the hell are you taking me?" I roared. Only to make him hold back the small smirk rising on his face.

"Where you made your mistake." He talked down on me as if I were little, weak and useless. Only enough to give him the information he needs.

But those words, sounded so familiar, as if I'd thought them.. The officer? No.

The entire ride, he kept his glare on the road. Hands gripping the wheel tightly and oh so ironically familiar. He was angry, still. I could tell he was the type to hold a grudge, just by the steam nearly erupting from his ears hidden behind his curls.

"This is kidnap." I eventually spoke, slicing through the thick silence.

"Does it look like I care? Because if I did, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have done it." His cocky remark only made me bust with the familiar volcano of anger.

"Why?" I asked, calmer as I hoped.

"We're here." He broke the topic, as we were now sitting in front of the familiar crumbling home. I hadn't even noticed the familiar gravel.

"My mistake was coming to see you?" I asked, confusion written all over my face.

"Get out, and look inside." He ordered, not asked. No hit of remorse in his voice.

I gave a defeated sigh, unbuckling and stepping out from the vehicle and slowly walking towards the home. More hesitantly then normal, scared of what stood behind the broken door.

My hand brushed the nob, as I felt the chest of another hit my back, causing me to gasp in shock.

"Open it," he huskily ordered.

Had I not noticed he was following me? I must be on a role..

I gulped down the fear that was surely rising up my neck, and pushed the door open. My eyes skimming the room until I found what I hadn't wished I was forced to see.

My mouth gaped slightly at the sight.

Well that's what make your story even more interesting: in your notes, you just put all your thoughts on there, and it's really, but really cool and interesting!
Hey, being dork is not only negative. It's someone who can be themselves and doesn't care if people judge. Seriously, your ''dorkiness'' isn't a bad thing! :)
I hope for you that one of your ambition will come true. If you take the path of writing, well I'm telling, plus all your readers: you can make it.
Even though this is a fic, I don't feel like it's one. I feel like I'm reading a book, but on the internet. I'm not feeling it's Harry Styles from One Direction (Well, I think you never wrote Styles, so maybe I'm wrong thinking it's Harry Styles, but ANYWAY.). I feel it's just another character from your head. My point is: your story could be found on a shelf at the library store. So, if you finished your story (not that I'm septic, no no! I know you can finish it! :) ), I suggested you to send it to a publishing house! :D
I'm glad to know I made you smile :) Don't give up on your writing and delete everything. See how much people love your work? See how much we enjoy reading it? Don't worry, you have a beautiful writing. Yeah... I get frustrated me too when I wrote my story. I'm a french Canadian, and it's sometimes tricky to express, for example, a situation or an emotion in english. But this site helps me, so I'll continue :)
Have a gooooood morning/afternoon/evening/night or whatever time it is where you live xD

I read your comment, and couldn't stop smiling! Personally, I write on this site as practice. My future ambition being between writing and visual arts. Though, I'm glad you like my story! So many times I've thought about deleting this, and just quitting. But I don't want to do that to my readers! I have never found a love for my own writing, so I just get frustrated after awhile.
Plus, when you commented on my notes, I literally just read back through all of them and realized how big of a dork I sound!!! Hahaha

I really love your work. The choice of words, the main plot, how you express everything... It''s just, wow! I felt like it was really happening, that Jamie, Hunter and Harry were really living (okay, we all know Harry is living on this Earth for real but you know what I mean. Well, I hope xD anyway) keep up writing. If writing wasn't in your choice of career, think about twice; I'm not just saying this to be sweet with you. No, I believe you're an exquisite writer and your imagination will never stop growing. You'll go far in life with only a pen and paper.
I really love reading your notes too. They're twisted up with wisdom words and hilarious sentences!
Okay... This comment is pretty long, maybe I should've sent it in messages.... Hahahaha xD
