Must Be Fate
Time For Some Fun
~~~~~~ One Week Later ~~~~~~~~~
After finding out that I had missed my only known opportunity of seeing One Direction live in concert, you could tell that I was upset. I moped around for the whole next week explaining to people how my life was horrible, and that nothing ever good happened to me. I was actually thinking of quitting the counseling job until I remembered that I needed the money and couldn’t live off of my dad forever. All these thoughts and feelings were going through my head until I remembered that I was in the middle of a conversation with my best friend Jake.
“-And so I was like, Dude. Calm down, it’s just a sandwich, and he was all like no it’s not!!!” Before I could understand what Jake was even talking about I slammed my locker door and asked him if he liked telling stories that no one listens to? He quickly shrugged and made up a lame excuse to leave. I was being such an asshole, but I couldn’t help myself! I was just so hung up over missing the One Direction concert.
~~~~~~ At Allyson’s Apartment ~~~~~~
“Allyson, you really need to get over it, I promise you that there will be many more concerts that are available, and the next tickets I get will go to you. “ I nodded quickly to everything that Jenna was saying to me because I knew it was true. I just wish everything could work out for once in my life. I was very blessed, but my timing for everything was always off in some sorts.
“I know, and you couldn’t be more right. I’m sorry for acting like such a twat.” I said in a pleading voice. “It’s fine!” When she said this, she sounded as if the world had been lifted off of her shoulders, it must have sucked having one of your friends moping around for a whole week. “So are you in the mood to answer some questions now?” “Sure” I said questionably.
“Okay, so I have noticed that you live here by yourself completely, but this is Chicago, you live in one of the nicest apartments I have ever been in, and you have no job. How can you afford this place?” I knew she would eventually ask this question, it eventually comes with all new company I have over. “Okay, well my dad produces a lot of film, whether it’s with music videos, private films, or motion pictures, he always finds a way to get involved. With that said, it causes him to travel quite a bit. I had a serious talk with him one day, and I always loved Chicago, so he offered to pay for me to live here as long as I maintain a 3.5 GPA and stay out of trouble.
“Ooh my gosh!!! That is so cool! You’re rich! And your dad does movies! That’s the coolest thing I have ever heard!” Hearing this for the hundredth time caused me to instantly get her to shut up. “I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW.” She seemed taken aback at these sudden words but her grin never left.
Expect chapter five really soon :)
