Must Be Fate
Bummer
~~~~~~~~ Allyson’s POV~~~~~~~~~
“If you want them, you can have them. I need to get rid of them anyways.” The words that my friend Jenna spoke echoed in my ears before I could actually understand them. How could someone just give away One Direction tickets? How could someone in his or her right mind be willing to do something like that?
“Hello? Allyson? Hellooooooo, can you hear me?” I was pulled out of my state by Jane calling me. “Yeah! Ooh my god, are you serious?!? How are you even willing to give them to me?” I watched Jenna take a step back as she was careful to dodge my arms moving in all directions with the sound of my voice getting louder, ringing through the school halls. Before she could move back any further, I grabbed her by her shoulders and gave her what must have been the most awkward hug ever. I was giggling and jumping at the same time, which didn’t help the situation, causing everyone to look in our direction.
“Allyson, if you don’t let go of me within the next three seconds, then I promise you those tickets will go to someone else.” These words were enough to make me do anything because I quickly pulled my hands away and stuck them straight to my sides. “Okay, now that we have that under control, I would love to give you the tickets, Allyson. But there is one catch.” Jenna said, catching my eyes with hers as she said those last few words. “Ooh no, what is it?” I must have sounded like I had just heard that my dog died, because the only thing I saw next, was her laughing against her locker like a maniac. “Dude, what are you doing? What is so funny?!” I quickly understood that she had only said that to mess with me. “Wow Jenna, really classy of you. Hey, I need to get home I’ve got an interview for some counseling job I am doing this summer over Skype, want to come?” I was looking at her with curious eyes, but the next thing I knew we were in my car heading to my place.
~~~~~~~~ Allyson’s Apartment ~~~~~~~~~~
“Wait. Do you live here by yourself?” Jenna asked this as if she were already planning a party for the weekend. “Yeah, I thought you knew… Have I never had you over at my place before?” I had honestly thought she had come over before but I guess not. By the time our conversation had started, she had raided my pantry and I had finished my interview. “Nope, but we really should hang out more often. How did the interview go?” She didn’t sound too interested to be honest, but I think she was just trying to get a conversation going. “Ooh! It went really well! I got the job!”
“CELEBRATION TIME!!!” was the only thing I heard before downing what seemed like a whole bottle of Absolute Vodka. Let’s just say that I was glad it was a Friday night.
~~~~~~~~~ Later That Night ~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up with what seemed like the worst headache I had ever had in my life. The only light coming through my blinds was from traffic in the streets below my apartment building over seeing the beautiful city of Chicago, so I assumed it was still night, I noticed I was correct when I looked at my old watch that read 3:04 a.m. “UUUGGHHHH! Where is the Advil!” The sudden noise I had created caused Jenna to stir, that’s when I noticed she was only in Underwear and a t-shirt. Wow okay Jenna, you need to put some pants on, and I am going to go find the Advil. Jenna gave a quick moan before I slugged off into the kitchen.
When I came back Jenna was already dressed in sweats this time, and starting a movie. “What are you watching?” I asked. I loved movies, so I hope she picked a good one. “Spirited Away, I love this movie. Hey did you bring me any Advil?” I quickly agreed and handed over the glass of water and two small blue pills I had prepared for her. “Thanks” She whispered. We stayed silent for what seemed like only two minutes.
Expect chapter five really soon :)
