This was great, really great. I was told that I’m being shipped off to London to live with my uncle. I haven’t seen him in years! This is fucking great, I'm leaving all my friends; basically I’m leaving my whole life! Argh! I hate parents they are so unfair!

“Why ship me off and not Riley?” I was furious; they always give her what she wants.

“Sweetheart, she will be going. Just not right now, she has two weeks of summer school left, so your mother and I decided that she will have to wait.” My dad said, I rolled my eyes and started walking to my bedroom. “I’m not done talking to you young lady!” Oh please, what else is there? I spun around and faced my dad.

I pursed my lips and crossed my arms, “Uh huh?”

He shook his head and laughed lightly, “You know my brother is a sweet guy, Alex sweetie; can’t you just think of this as an exciting new adventure?”

I closed my eyes; squeezed them shut. It was a weird thing I do to keep calm, “Yup dad, I can’t wait to go to London. You know meet those cute British boys and all.”

My dad smiled “That’s my girl.”

“I can’t believe this!” I yelled into my phone,

“Whoa, whoa… I don’t want to go deaf Alex, calm down.” My best friend Steph said, she giggled “What’s up boo?”

I slumped down on my bed,

“Guess where I’m going to be for most of the summer!” I was still yelling, I was just too mad.

“My house?” Stephanie asked innocently

I smiled, “I wish, Steph, I wish. No, I’m going to London.” I said calmly.

“WHAAAAAAT?! Um… No, hell no. Why?” Steph yelled, I loved this girl; she was like my other half.

“To visit my Uncle Simon, apparently we haven’t seen him enough. We watched fucking X Factor and saw him.” I let out a long sigh, “This sucks” I knew Steph was nodding, I could read her like a book, and she could do the same to me; even though we were in different houses.

“That’s not fair! That ruins my summer!” Steph whined

“Calm down” I laughed, I started looking through my closet to see what I would pack. “It’s supposed to be cold in England and all rainy right?” I literally had no idea what the weather was like and I was too lazy to check the Weather Network.

“I don’t know, does it look like I go to England, or anywhere for that matter?” Steph was a drama queen. “Any way, when are you leaving?” I heard a ‘crash’ on the other side on the line.

“You okay?” I stopped looking through my clothes and waited for an answer. The line went dead. Goodbye to you too. I walked out of my room and into Riley’s.

“You're lucky you know.” I uttered as I lay on her bed, she looked up at me.

“How so?” she gave me a confused look, the kind when someone arches one eyebrow. I shook my head ‘never mind’
I looked around her room; her walls were covered with the latest boy band, One Direction.

“You’ve never even met these guys and you’ve practically devoted your life to them.” Riley got up from lying on the floor.

“You have no idea” I nodded, ‘I know’.

Riley looked at me, “No, I mean you have no idea how it feels to be a real fan; a Directioner. These boys are magnificent, they give you feelings no else will ever give you. They make you cry, they make you laugh, and they even make you angry. All because us fans- or psycho girls as you would say; have a connection with the boys that goes above the music they produce. We practically know them, their personalities. Some of us can’t get them off our minds.” Riley stopped talking looked up at her poster; some guy with brown eyes and his hair swooped up at the front was on it. “We- I just think they’re great, okay?” I smirked and nodded curtly

“So who is this one?” I pointed to the one she looked at; she closed her eyes and rubbed her temple.

“That’s Zayn, he has a girlfriend though” she looked at the ground, “Her name’s Perrie.” I laughed

“Like Perry the Platypus?” Riley smiled and shook her head

“No, like Perrie Edwards” I nodded. ‘Who?’
