The Start of Something Beautiful

Spoiled Rotten

“Oh my god! This is so cute!”
Maia was scurrying around the new baby boutique picking up every pink thing in sight. Taylor was following her around, pushing Darcy in her stroller while Liam and Harry carried the bags and occupied Christian.
“I’m so getting this for her! It’s so perfect, I mean just look at it!”
Maia held up a lilac tutu ensemble that came with a matching bow, smiling widely. Her arms were full of little outfits for Darcy, complete with little sandals, bows, and hats.
“Maia, you really don’t have to do that. She has plenty of clothes, more than she needs actually. She’s going to grow out of them soon.” Taylor giggled, shaking her head at her best friend. Maia only had one child, a son, named Christian. She loved him with every fiber of her being, but she desperately wanted another child, a girl. When Darcy was born, she caught baby fever, a strong case.
“But I want to! As her aunt, it is my responsibility to spoil her rotten! So just let me do it!” Maia begged, her blue eyes begging Taylor to let her do it.
“Fine, but you don’t have to get everything you see.”
“Deal.”
The girls made their way around the boutique, picking out things for Darcy and holding them up to see how they’d look on her.
“Babe, look at this. She definitely needs this.” Taylor called over to Harry who was in mid conversation with Liam. He looked over at his wife, setting the multiple shopping bags down to walk over to her. She giggled holding up a onesie that said “Sorry ladies, my daddy’s taken.”
“She needs it.” Taylor insisted quirking her eyebrow at her husband. He shook his head with a chuckle grabbing her cheeks as she squirmed.
“Taylor, oh my god. There is no way that I’m not getting this, I mean, come on.”
Maia held up a black and white striped onesie, a pink Ramones emblem plastered on the front. Harry’s eyes lit up at the sight, obviously agreeing with Maia. Taylor shook her head laughing. “Oh my god."

The rest of the day was spent shopping around the shops of London on the beautiful August day. Darcy, only a month old, was completely content with being pushed around in a stroller all day or carried by Harry. It was her first real outing and she had slept almost the entire time, only fussing when hungry. Paparazzi had thankfully been scarce, only a few popping up as they exited stores to get the first pictures of the new addition to their family.
"Today has been nice." Taylor commented as the six of them walked down the streets of London.
"I think Darcy has enjoyed it as well." Liam chuckled looking down at a sleeping Darcy, cuddled into her soft blanket, clinging to Harry's jacket he had worn earlier that day.
"I agree."
The six of them entered one last store, another baby boutique causing Maia to go crazy all over again at the sight of new little girl clothes. She was all over the place, squealing at every little thing in sight, wanting to buy the entire store. Liam shook his head at his wife, knowing what was coming for him later.
"Looks like somebody's caught baby fever." Harry chuckled to Liam, holding a still sleeping Darcy close to his chest. Liam sighed shaking his head with a small laugh.
"I guess I should've seen it coming. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want another one. I mean it's been four years since Christian and I'd love to have another set of little feet running around again." Liam answered looking at Christian who was occupied with his dad's phone.
"So I'm guessing you want another baby?" Taylor asked Maia as they continued looking through the store.
Maia smiled widely. "So badly. I miss it, being pregnant and being so excited for them to do their firsts, and even the sleepless nights. And the other day Christian asked if he could have a baby brother or sister, it melted my heart Tay."
"Aw, well I'm sure Liam isn't opposed to the idea."
"He's not, it's just we're not sure if it's the right time, you know with his schedule starting up again soon."
Taylor sighed sadly, knowing that Harry would have to go on tour again soon and she wasn't sure if she was ready for him to leave so soon or at all. She wanted him to be there for everything.
"Do you think there's going to be some more little Styles in the future?” She asked quirking her eyebrow at Taylor.
“Definitely, but not for a while. We just want to be with Darcy, and just Darcy for a while.”
Taylor looked over to where Harry sat at the front of the store with Liam, Darcy cuddled into his chest, one of his large hands covering the entirety of her small back. She smiled at the two of them, knowing that she was more than content with her little family.
