Like Crazy (Harry Styles & Niall Horan AU)

Chapter Fourteen

Eleanor's POV:
It had been three days since Louis and I 'broke up.'
Part of me wished he had come and tried to talk things out with me, because I really did miss him.
Yet the other part of me wanted nothing to do with him, and if I never saw him again in my life, it would be too soon.
I was getting bored sitting around the house since I had just graduated recently.
I texted Kenzie, but she had a date tonight.
It wasn't with Harry though, which confused me. I decided to not even ask.
Since Kenzie was busy and almost all of my friends had already left for college, I decided to go to Central Park tonight, because there's always something to do there.
Julia's POV:
I winced as I saw steam pouring out of my flat iron as it glided down my sleek blonde hair.
That probably wasn't good for it.
Oh well, I thought, repeating the process.
I was going out with Niall tonight and I was beyond excited.
I was hoping he would ask me to be his girlfriend tonight, but wasn't expecting it would happen.
I decided to put a very light coat of makeup on, and wore a peach colored pleated dress, that hit just above my knees.
I slipped on a light sweater, because even in the summer time New York can be cold.
I finished my hair, simply pulling my bangs back with a bobby pin.
I took one last 360 look in my full length mirror, before approving my appearance and heading downstairs.
Niall and I were meeting at his house, because he wouldn't let me out of not being picked up.
Harry was going to take me there, and do something for a few hours.
I became increasingly nervous when I saw Harry already in the living room with my father, looking pale.
I shot him a questioning look before my father noticed me.
"Hello, dear! My, you look gorgeous." He greeted me, standing up and giving me a hug.
"Thank you," I smiled.
He released me, and I was eager to get out of here.
I felt terrible about lying to my parents about everything that was going on.
"Well.. Uh, Harry, shall we go?" I suggested.
He quickly nodded, standing up and linking arms with me.
I couldn't help but noticed how good he smelled, and his body so close to mine...
Snap out of it, Julia.
This is Harry, not Niall. You don't like Harry.
I recited the lines in my head I found myself needing to say so often now.
I.did.not.like.harry.styles.
I liked Niall, and that was all there is to it.
"Alright, you two have a good time!" He smiled, waving as we walked to the door.
"Thanks, bye dad," I said through gritted teeth.
"Thank you Mr.Parker," Harry politely responded.
"Nonsense. Call me Jeff," he said, whilst patting Harry's shoulder.
I walked out the door first and I noticed my dads glare harden, as he whispered to Harry, something so quiet it was inaudible to me.
Harry's POV:
I nodded to Julia's father, quickly stepping out the door and following Julia to the car.
That man could be real scary when he wanted to be.
I shuddered, thinking of what he told me before Julia arrived and his last words to me, 'Tell a soul, and it will be the last words that ever leave your mouth.'
"What did my dad say? It looks as if you've seen a ghost," She asked, as I started the car.
I tensed up quickly, knowing I couldn't tell her.
"N-nothing important. I guess I've just been feeling a little under the weather lately," I lied.
She nodded, thankfully she bought it for now.
I knew she would question me about it later, there was no getting around that.
It wasn't going to be the easiest secret to keep.
The majority of the drive was silent. Not an awkward silent, but a peaceful quiet.
"Thanks, Harry. Keep your head down so Niall doesn't recognize you," She instructed.
I nodded.
"See you,"
And with that, I drove off.
Lilly's POV:
I sat in my room, flipping through this months issue of Teen Vogue.
My mother was currently cleaning the Attic, which happened to be above my room.
All of the thumping and bumping and dropping of boxes was giving me a headache.
All of the sudden it all stopped, and I breathed a sigh of relief, enjoying the moment because I knew it wouldn't last long.
"LILLY ANNE!" My mother shouted.
I groaned. At there goes the moment.
"COMING!" I responded, leaping off of my bed and heard up the stairs.
"Yes?" I asked, ducking into the attic.
"I swore I just saw Julia Parker walking into that strange neighbor boys house," my mom said, craning her neck to see out the small hexagonal window.
My face flushed instantly.
Oh snap.
What did I say? I knew Julia was going out with Niall but she would never speak to me again if I told my mother...
But I've never lied to my mom. Ever in my seventeen years of existence.
It wouldn't really be lying.. I mean I didn't see Julia go to Niall's house with my own eyes..
"Really? That's bizarre. Are you sure it was Julia? It could've been anyone, we are up pretty high," I reasoned.
She nodded, agreeing with me.
"I suppose your right. Isn't she seeing that Garry?" She asked.
I laughed, "Harry?"
"Yes, that's it."
I was relieved that she hadn't pressed the issue further, but I had to be sure nothing like this happened again, because I don't think I'll be able to cover for Julia again.
"Well, go on then. I'm going to uh.. Finish here," She said, looking around at the gigantic mess.
I nodded, heading back down the stairs.
Niall's POV:
I rushed down the stairs, upon hearing a knock on my door.
I opened it, revealing Julia.
Wow, she looked beautiful.
"Hey," I said, sheepishly.
"Hi there," she smiled.
I stepped out of my house, lugging my large guitar case behind me.
She giggled, "what's that?"
"That," I said, lifting up my guitar and walking with her to the car, "would be a guitar,"
I set it in the back seat and opened the passenger door for her.
"Okay..but why did you bring it?" She questioned further.
"You'll see," I smirked.
She playfully hit me in the arm.
"Stop acting so mysterious,"
I finally broke out in laughter. "There you go," she smiled.
I looked over at her with crossed eyes.
"You're such a dork," she laughed at me.
"Dork?" I asked sarcastically.
"That's the word I would use to describe you, yes" she responded.
I looked over at her, with a pouty face.
"Fortunately I find dorks quite sexy," She informed me.
"That's what I like to hear," I smiled, kissing her hand that was resting on my knee softly.
"Where are we going?" She questioned, noticing how far out of town we were heading.
"That, is for me to know and you to find out," I said.
"And there you go again with your mysteriousness!" She said, exasperated.
I laughed.
"Be patient,"
"I was born without patience," she informed me.
"What if we played a game?" I suggested.
"Hmm. Like what?" She asked.
"Okay, so we each get to ask each other four questions, and we have to answer them honestly, NO exceptions. You can only skip one question that you don't want to answer," I explained.
She nodded, "Okay, but I get to go first,"
I could tell she was really thinking about it, and soon enough she came up with one.
"Where are you going to college at?"
Of course. She had to hit the college button.
I scratched my neck nervously.
She noticed I was struggling because she reminded me I had to answer honestly.
"Okay honestly, I'm hoping to go to study criminal justice in London. I haven't received my acceptance letter yet, but I'm expecting it any day." I said.
"That's awesome! I've always wanted to go to London," she smiled.
"You're not upset?" I asked in surprise.
"Of course I'm going to miss you, but if that's what you want to do then you need to do it," she said.
I smiled. She was perfect.
I hadn't mentioned anything about having to go early, but she hadn't asked, and I'd tell her when the time was right.
"My turn," I said, wanting nothing more than to stop talking about college.
"What's your favorite lip balm flavor?" I asked.
She laughed, "Really?"
I nodded, "And you have to answer honestly,"
She pretended to think about it.
"Hm.. This really is a tough one Ni... Probably cherry,"
I gasped," I love cherry!"
She laughed, and leaned her head against the window, just looking at me.
"Whatcha doing there?" I asked.
"Memorizing you," she responded.
"Um.. And why is that?"
"So If you do go to London for a long time and I end up losing you, I won't forget anything about you," she said, carefully.
"Hey," I said, firmly as we stopped at a red light, "You're not going to loose me. Even if you wanted to,"
She smiled, "Good. Because you know what Niall?"
"What?" I asked.
"I don't think I want to,"
