Samantha's POV:

Louis' eyes were full of tears as he realized what I was talking about. He really must have something to do with my past, the way he is acting. It's all so crazy and I can barely keep up.

I averted my gaze from Louis', not liking his hopeful stare. Suddenly, I noticed the big purple mark on Niall's cheek. "What happened?" I asked Niall, stroking the bruise. Louis did a short intake of breath and he closed his eyes, not letting any tears fall. Maybe it's because I'm not worth tears. And to be honest, I don't think I am.

"Oh, it's nothing," Niall replied, avoiding my question. Instead, he just changed the subject. "You want to go to the park with me now?"

I beamed, wanting nothing other than being with him. But this small part inside me wanted Louis to come. But only as a friend. Or so I thought. "Sure!" I kissed Niall's cheek, but at that second, he turned his head so I kissed his lips instead. The kiss was short and didn't hold any emotion at all except for something coming from Niall. I hope he felt the way I felt, though.

Blushing, Niall took my hand and led me out the room, Louis' glare burning in my soul as I left. I giggled as Niall picked me up bridal style as we walked to the park. "But Niall!" I protested, ignoring the flashes of cameras, "I'm too heavy!"

"Even if you're too heavy, I'd hold you anyway. I'd take you any place you'd want to go!" He smiled down at me as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "And plus, I'm so strong that I can hold mountains." I loved it when Niall joked around with me. He was so lighthearted, like the carefree leprechaun he was.

When we arrived at the park, we sat under the shade of a willow tree, its sweeping branches hanging low. We just sat there, enjoying the view of little boys and girls playing around in the sun.

"I need to tell you something," Niall said, breaking the peaceful silence between us. "I'm--"

"in a band called One Direction. Yeah, the boys told me." Niall looked disappointed, like that wasn't what he was going to say. But he just ignored it and sat back against the trunk of the willow tree. I rested my head in Niall's lap, his fingers playing around in my hair. We continued looking at the kids. And then Niall broke the silence again.

"Someday, our kids will be playing in this park. Just like them." He pointed to the children. But my heart stopped when I heard 'our kids'. I felt tingly because he was considering a relationship with me, but I hardly knew him.

"I-I barely know you," I stammered, stumbling over my words. I sat up straight again, untangling Niall's fingers from my hair. "I-I--"

He nodded. "But just consider it," he whispered, his hot breath against my ear. "I think- no, I know that I'm in love with you."

"No. No!" I stood up, unsure of what to do. "I think this is all too fast. I would love to get to know you but please- please don't say you love me." I backed away from him slowly. "I need time to think." And with that, I took off.

I didn't know where I was going and why I said that to Niall. He truly deserves the best. But I don't believe in love in first sight. And I don't think Niall loves me yet. But some nagging voice in the back of my mind tells me he truly does mean it... but I shook that off. There's no such thing as fast, easy love.

Suddenly, I got that feeling when I'm dizzy and I reached to the counter to stable me but there was no counter, only air. I collapsed to the ground, the grass not being a good cushion, and I faded away into another world.
