Samantha's POV:

Horrified at what had happened, I pushed past all the people and stumbled up the stairs.

"Niall, open up!" I shouted, pounding on his door.

"No!" His reply was mixed with sobs.

"Please, Niall," I pleaded desperately.

"Why should I? I'm obviously not good enough for you, or else uou would have stayed..." Another muffled sob pierced the air.

"Niall, it's not you, it's me." It was true. I was the monster, ruining everyone's happiness. "I shouldn't have done that."

"You should have told me."

I nodded, but then remembered that he couldn't see me. "I should have. To spare you from more pain."

It was silent for a while; the only sound was his continuous sobs.

"Niall, please open the door."

Silence. Not even his crying noises reached my ears.

I sighed, knowing that there was only one more thing to do.

Staggering to my room, I packed all my things into a suitcase, and quietly dragged it downstairs. I had just reached the garage when I heard the last person I wanted to see.

Louis.

"Where are you going?" He demanded, grabbing my wrist.

"Away."

"For how long?"

"Forever, Louis!" I screamed, losing it as I whirled around to face him. "Can't you see our relationship is destroying everything we love? Look at Niall! He's depressed and angry with himself."

I stroked Louis's face gently, but still he winced as my fingertips brushed his fresh wounds. "Look at you," I said quietly. "This is what happens. Don't you think if we were meant to be, then we would already be together?"

"We just have to work harder--" Louis started, but then I softly placed a finger on his lips.

"Shh, I want to remember this moment," I whispered, my head on his chest, are figures wrapped into each other.

"Goodbye, Louis," I said as I broke away from him and climbed into my car. "It will be as if I was never here."

And all he could do was just stand there numbly, eyes locked onto me as I drove away. And as my hands tightly clenched the steering wheel, hot tears rolled down my cheeks as the words I had said echo in my head.

It will be as if I was never here.

Okay, so I really was going to stop updating. But I grew really attached to it and I felt really sad for letting it go and I went really emotional without even knowing it.

But mostly it was iceskatez that convinced me to update again because she was right. So I'm giving a shoutout to her! She's so awesome and her writing is amazing!
