Samantha's POV:

We never did talk about last night. When I woke up, I just met Louis at the kitchen, attempting to cook eggs. Everything seemed normal even though it wasn't, and the only thing that seemed off was Louis' eyes staring at the ground, not looking up at me.

"Just get the cereal," I snickered as he tried to flip the egg. He failed miserably, only getting egg on the kitchen floor. "Lucky charms."

"No fair," he pouted. "You basically took all the marshmallows!" I only laughed, earning myself a glare from Louis.

After breakfast, we went out on the beach, the soft sand between my toes. It reminded me of the time we met, except it wasn't sunset, it was just the beautiful morning sun shining high in the blue sky.

Louis waded in the ocean, the waves calmly splashing onto his skin. "Come here," he said, smiling like he little boy he was. As much as I wanted to give in, with the ocean just beckoning me to come, I shook my head. "Why not?" He whined.

"I'm not wearing any swimming atire," I pointed out, "and you, being the pervert you are, packed me bikinis. I hate showing off my body, Louis."

He grinned mischeviously, and my eyes widened. "No, no, no! Louis, don't!" But it was too late. Lou ran over to me and tossed me over his shoulder. He waded deeper and deeper into the water and he dropped me in suddenly.

I screamed, the cold water against my skin really waming me up. "Lou, what about sharks?" I asked, not sure if they swam in the shallow areas.

"They won't come near us," Lou assured me in his not-really-assuring voice. "And if they do, I'll protect you." I giggled at his cheesiness but would he really?

"Louis, what made you come up to me? That day at the beach?" I asked suddenly, turning to him.

He froze. His eyes darted around, beads of water dripping down his face. "I.." he started, but was unable to go on. "I just saw this pretty girl and I knew that I had to talk to her."

I was touched that he called me pretty. That really was so sweet. I wondered what would become of us now, but I shook it off. Because I already had a boyfriend. And I was a loyal girlfriend. And that kiss yesterday meant nothing at all...

Louis tackled me all of a sudden, and water got into my lungs. When I could finally get up, I gasped desperately for air. "Louis!" I spluttered out, coughing like a maniac. "Water got up my nose!"

"Are you alright?" Lou asked me, sounding genuinely concerned. But I didn't answer, because I suddenly noticed how wet my shirt was. And how see-through it was now. So see-through that you could see my bra underneath.

"Fuck you, Lou!" I shouted, horrified. Please don't notice, please don't notice...

"Wha- oh," he coughed, his eyes suddenly drawn to my chest. I crossed my arms, and he awkwardly looked away, clearing his throat.

"Well, if it makes you feel better," Lou smirked while taking off his soaked shirt. And my eyes suddenly found his six pack and I couldn't help but blush at the sight of them.

"I think I need to go change," I said in a high-pitched voice. I started off towards the beach, but Lou grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"C'mon, I like the view," he grinned, and I blushed again, slapping his arm lightly and muttering, "Pervert."

Louis suddenly wrapped his arm around my waist and hugged me closer to him. I was really surprised but I didn't stop him from leaning in and pressing his lips on mine. And I found myself kissing back. Why did it feel so right when it was so wrong? Wow Sammie, amazing girlfriend to Niall- Niall! I pushed myself away from Louis.

"I have a boyfriend!" I snapped, slapping him.

"Don't lie to me," Louis said in a rough tone. He grabbed my wrists harshly. "Don't tell me that you didn't enjoy it."

"Even if I did," I found myself saying, "I have a boyfriend. I won't cheat on him."

"Wow, you're so loyal," Louis growled at me, bringing me closer to him. "You already did cheat on him by kissing me back."

Good point there. I wanted to say that I didn't kiss back, but that would be lying. So I did cheat on Niall. I felt cold regret and guiltiness at myself. "You cheated on me two fucking times," I screamed at him, wrestling out of his grip. "At least I regretted it."

He lunged at me again, but I dodge him nimbly. "You think I didn't regret it? Those two years were torture!"

"Then tell me," I whispered softly, hot tears running down my cheeks, my hands shaking. "Tell me why you cheated on me!"

"Because I was a fucking idiot!" Louis shouted, his eyes a sea of regret. "I admit it. I was a fucking dumbass. I shouldn't have broken your heart two times. But I did. I'm sorry."

"What if sorry isn't enough?" I snapped, closing my eyes but the tears slipped past them anyway. "We were young and naive. Stupid. I shouldn't have dated you. Never. I was so stupid." I blindly wiped the flowing tears away. "It's time I let you go."

"No, please!" He desperately stumbled over to me. "I told you I'm sorry. I truly am. Everyone deserves a second chance."

"I gave you that!"

"Give me a third chance! I promise I won't fuck up. And if I do, then you can let me go." He kissed me softly on the lips. "I can't lose you again. I love you. I love you, Sammie."

"I forgot what love was," I said as the last of the tears disappeared. "But now I think I remember. I think I love you, Louis. Promise me you won't mess up again."

"I promise," he whispered softly in my ear, and I couldn't help but think about the saying, 'Promises are meant to be broken.' Was this just a meaningless promise? But as he pulled me closer to him, and as I wrapped my arms arouns his neck, I thouht that he wouldn't break the promse. But when his lips crashed onto mine, I knew.
