The Fair
Samantha's POV:
Today was a free day so I was going to spend it with the boys. They were taking me somewhere and said it was a surprise. I honestly couldn't wait, because the boys proved to be very exciting and fun. The surprise must be amazing if the boys planned it.
I left my room in a hurry, and went outside, just like Harry told me to. No one was there, and I was beginning to get annoyed, but just when I was going to go in, I felt someone appear from behind and blindfold me.
"What the hell?" I cried, flailing my arms uselessly. I tried tackling the person, but I only bumped into the car.
"Get her in the car," Zayn whispered, and I felt hands guide me inside the car.
"Don't worry," Niall assured me, placing a hand on my own, and I could feel the butterflies erupt in my stomach, "Once you get to the--" He was cut off by Liam, to my disappointment.
"Niall! You almost told her!" Liam said, shifting around in his seat.
"Oops. Sorry. " I could just imagine the sheepish smile on Niall's face, his cute expression making me laugh even though I couldn't see it.
I felt skin against my own skin and sparks flew. "Guys, shut up!' Louis grinned, and I bit my lip, "you'll end up telling her."
The jolt told me that we stopped, and I heard screams blasting in my ears. Were fans screaming for One Direction? No, because I remembered them gathering their disguises.
A hand held mine, the soft skin feeling so lovely that I wanted that person to hold me forever. "Ready?" Louis' voice asked me, and I was a bit upset that Niall wasn't the one that was holding my hand.
The darkness lifted from my eyes and I blinked because of the sudden brightness. The first thing I saw were kids happily running around, and then I saw the rides.
"You guys brought me to the fair?" I blinked several times, but still had to wipe the corner of my eyes. I was just really touched that the boys would do this for me. I thanked them profusely, but they just brushed it off.
"Come on!" I grabbed Niall's hand and gripped it tightly, dragging him along with me. As he laughed his charming Irish laugh, I couldn't help but catch a glimpse of Louis' face. There was a flash of pain, and I hated seeing him like that, but then he changed his expression into stone hard blankness
Niall and I went on a lot of rides and ate A LOT of food. "I can't thank you enough for this," I told Niall, snatching a bit of his food. He feigned a look of horror and chuckled, grabbing some of my food.
When we finished off the rest of our food (it didn't take long), he led me to a secluded area, shady and cool, the perfect breeze making my hair fly slightly around me.
Niall smiled sweetly at me, shuffling his feet awkwardly. I gazed at the trees beyond us, waiting for him to do something.
"It's only us now," Niall mentioned, his hand inching closer to mine.
"Yeah, what about it?" I said calmly, but inside, my heart was beating rapidly.
"Oh, come on," Niall grinned, turning to face me. His pink lips were so close to mine, and I glanced at them impatiently.
"I've wanted this for awhile," Niall whispered, his breath tickling my skin. He leaned in agonizingly slow, and finally his lips touched mine, and his arm encircled my waist, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. His lips were so soft against mine, and the kiss was so sweet and innocent with no tongue in it, it was just fascinating.
He broke off the kiss, both of us panting for air. "That was.... just perfect," Niall said quietly. He held my hand in his, and with my free hand, I placed it on my lips, remembering the wonderful kiss.
"What does this make us?" I asked, his thumb rubbing my skin.
"Oh, it was just a kiss," Niall said, and I felt my heart sink. "I'm just kidding."
He turned to face me, his forehead on mine, my arms around his neck, his hands on my waist. We swayed to imaginary music, and Niall said, "Samantha, you are such an amazing girl. You're beautiful, you're funny-- words won't describe how I feel about you. Except for three words." The corners of his lips twitched into a small smile. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes! Yes!" I cried, tears forming in my eyes. But they were happy tears. We leaned in for another kids, and when it was over, Niall whispered, "I think I am in love with you."
And you know what? I let him say it.
