Look After You

Blind Date

*Louis’s POV*

Okay, I seriously have no clue why I agreed upon going with Zayn and Harry to hang out with them and their girlfriends. It was bad enough I felt like a third wheel hanging out with any of them, since they all had girlfriends now. It was actually an annoyance on my part. I honestly don’t know why they keep asking me to come hang out with them. They already know how much I hated tagging along on dates. I think I’ve mentioned it a few times…

I was walking up the street. Yes, walking, I never really feel the need to drive anymore. Strange, but whatever. Anyways, I was getting myself to the destination we’d agree upon meeting. Can you guess? Ha! Well, I don’t know if you guessed movie theatre, but kudos to those who got that right. God, seriously, I’m going crazy. I’m talking out like somebody is reading my thoughts or something.

I was pretty sure Zayn and Harry could see the pure joy written all over my face as I neared them. Yep, girlfriends were in fact present. Zaynie had Perrie. God, those two have been through so much together, it was amazing that they still had each other. Harry had a girl. Oh, a new girl at that. Nothing surprising there. And get this, she was our age! Holy fuck!

Okay, yeah, I had an attitude going on here. This always happens whenever I become a third wheel, or in this case, a fifth. But, oh, wait, did I miscount on something? I see a third girl standing by Harry. She locked eyes with me and offered a smile as I finally made it to the group.

“Mate, did you seriously walk again?” Harry asked, curious.

My eyes left the girl as I shrugged and looked at Harry. “Yeah.”

Harry didn’t mention more of it, because I pretty much knew what he would say. If I needed a ride, say something. Yeah, I have my own car, and I only drive it whenever I had to go farther than ten miles or was running late for something. Harry placed an arm over my shoulder and pulled me away from the group some to talk to me. “That girl… you see her?” Harry asked.

“Yeah. Why is she here?” I asked. “She a sister or something?”

Harry snorted. “Mate, seriously. No, she’s actually best friends with Cadie. Her name is Brandy.”

Cadie must’ve been Harry’s date. “Awesome. So what movie we watching?”

Harry gave me the dumbest look. “Do you even know why Brandy is here? Alone, at that?”

I shrugged, not really caring either way. “Is she carrying any liquor? She’d be living up to her name then.”

That made Harry smile a little and shake his head. “What am I going to do with you?” He whispered. “No, she’s here for you. I know how much you hate coming with us when we have girlfriends, so I talked to Brandy. She agreed upon meeting you.”

I made a face before looking back at the girl. Yeah, okay, she was hot, but I didn’t feel myself attracted to her. She was wearing heels that were higher than Mount Everest. Seriously, how do girls wear those things? Well, she had some nice legs, slender and long. Her jeans were tight, hugging ever curve. She had on one of those puff jackets with the fur on the hood. And, oh goodness, her hair was bleach blond. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate girls with blond hair, but it did not look right with this girl. Ha, what do you know, she did accomplish one thing here. She just checked off every major turn-off I had for girls. Good going, Harry, and here I thought you knew me well.

He placed a hand on my shoulder. “You’ve been running free for over half a year now dude. It’s time to move on.”

I clenched my jaw. Yeah, I knew he didn’t understand, but still. I shrugged his shoulder off, a little pissed at him. I didn’t even acknowledge the girl as I walked past her. She called out, but I pretty much ignored her. He thought I was still moping over Eleanor. Hell no, I was over her.

I walked up to the ticket booth. I decided not to be a gentleman to this girl. I never asked for her to be here, and I wasn’t about to be the kind of guy that issued that either. “One ticket to the goriest movie you’ve got.”

I was going to imagine myself as the bad guy. With that, for every person he would murder, that would be Harry. Yeah, okay, I was a little more than pissed. And I knew for a fact that since I was getting a ticket to this movie, the others will follow.

The guy working gave me the ticket and the others were right behind me. The girl who was supposed to be my date was smiling. She was expecting her ticket. I held up the solo ticket in my hand. “You’re on your own, toots.”

I glared up at Harry before leaving the five of them and making my way to the theatre. Shit, I hoped she wouldn’t sit beside me but even I knew that was wishful thinking. So I counted every murder happening in the movie. Fifteen times. Fifteen times I murdered Harry in my head. Ha, call me insane, but I was seriously pissed at him.

Just leave me the fuck alone about my love life.
