Stockholm Syndrome - A Harry Styles Fic - Comments

@hazzaislovely

Hi, yes. I have it on Quotev, mibba, A03, onedirectionfanfic the other one associated here and wattpad I always go by the name Vanity or Heart - if anyone else with a different username and isn't on any of those site - let me know. I've had this story stolen a few times and posted up but VanityHeart, Vanitysorrowheart or any of those combinations are my user name. If it's anything else but vanity or the other combinations - chances are it is not me.. But yes, I'm on quotev and it's posted there. Thanks so much for checking in and asking!

Im just curious did you also put this story on quotev??

@CelesteDeOnne

oh wow, thank you so much! This story gets a bit graphic but the ending is worth the read :-) I'm just warning ya, graphic violence and depiction of torture - it get's pretty dark but I'm happy you like it so far! Thanks so much for the vote and comment it means a lot. I have 2 other stories worth reading - a bit better maybe in my own opinion, they only have about 10 chapters between them each. One is called: Dead Like Him - reaper story which I hope to write another chapter out later and the other is called: The Hostage and the Wanted.

Dude I'm hooked and I have only read the prologue and chapter 1.... I'm tired but I probably won't sleep for a while.... Looking forward to it

@Mrs. Styles1913

Thanks :-) I do 1st person stories a lot, this one, it just wouldn't work for how I need to end it. Try reading the other one I'm co-writing it's called: D is for Delightful, that one is told in 1st person and I think you'd like the story basis/concept :-) just a suggest. Thanks for giving this one a shot though, it means a lot!

I like the story, I really do. But I can't read it. I don't know why but my brain doesn't like to click unless i'm reading first person. Its a great story line though I love it! <3 xox

See I didn't know about Don Quixote, though I have read the workings way back in high school - which was about...15 years ago give or take. I guess the person has to be a narcissist to want to do that and from what you said of Avellaneda, he sounded way too sure and those people always think the better of themselves, which...well, they never win. For me, I can come up with original stories or take here or there a concept and give it a twist and it's always been so easy for me to do, so original ideas can be hard for some but for others they break the envelope. It all depends on the person. If you want to reach a higher target, I have mine posted on 5 different stories sites, the more places you post the more you'll be able to reach the targeted audience. Maybe contact the girls again and ask them to translate it for you again? lol it's a thought and it's good to have it in another language for sure, it does help to get it spread. I translate when I have to through a translator online though I half suspect it might not always be accurate hah. I can imagine, finding something stolen is a really bad feeling, when I co wrote with a girl about 4 years ago she put it on her account then when we had a falling out she took my name off of it and posted it as her own. Now THAT was a pretty bad feeling. I learn I'd only co write with someone if our accounts were joined so both have access. It was a Jonas brothers/hanson fan fic lol so it was was random but now I know why 6 other co writers before me stopped writing with her - because she was doing that to other people. She can't write, I ended up writing 98% of the story and then that happened. her whole thing was everything was said and replied walked or ran, frowned or smiled - no consistency and no feeling as a writer you have to have emotion, otherwise it's not worth trying and unfortunatley she did not have the emotion, I guess that's why she does what she does - and she still does it.

@VanitySorrowHeart
Well, I was telling a friend who got plagiarised by the same girl that plagiarism is old as humanity. Even Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, got plagiarised because a certain Avellaneda thought he could write Cervantes' story better... Can we expect any different? I just found another girl who stole plot, title and summary. For what I know, it's not that easy to have original ideas. I worked a lot to get with my concept, and I admit I got nurrished by so many things I read and watched, but to stole it's completely different. This is not inspiration, and certainly if they don't credit you it's not promotion either. When I found this girl on Movellas it was funny because I instantly recognised the other stories from this site, yours, Softballchick79's dirty imagines, Baby Daddy and Love In Lights. I have a lot of views but my story is not the most popular, and it's not easy to read, so I guess this girl stole our stories because she liked them. I have no other explanation to her randomness. I get someone stealing Hired For Harry, and God knows Brianna is struggling with it right now. But mine? It's just absurd. I have loyal, clever readers, but my story is not mainstream. I wish those girls continued translating it to portuguese though. I got readers from Serbia, so I wish it could reach my targetted readers :)

@not_any_maryjane

You're right, my writing isn't all that good that's why I found it funny anyone would bother to steal it lol. But I guess it takes all kinds. Watt pad - someone stole your story there too? Yeesh, people really need to get a clue or even a life because what good is false praise if the person knows they stole it - I don't get that at all. I noticed that too, if I was going to plagiarize something - not that I would because I find that to be a time waster in itself but I'd change the name to the story - that there is just pure laziness otherwise, but the good news is it helps to track them down faster and report the story to make sure they don't get away with it. Oh that is awesome it was translated to another language. I think as a writer if they came and said I'd like to post your story here with full credits and location links I think that would be great but just doing it...although I was a bit harsh with the girl who stole mine, I told her exactly what she was - which was a parasite. It doesn't take anything to come up with an original idea and run with it but some just want the credit for anothers work and like I have always said losers never win. If they need to have false credit that bad then there's something wrong in their life, and that's actually pretty sad.

@VanitySorrowHeart
Yes, they should ban this person, but I guess they don't have 'responsability' on what people publish there, so they don't worry too much. But at least they remove them once reported. I'm having the same issue on Wattpad and things seems slower there. Once we are in the net there's always a possibility to get stollen. People don't even change the name of the story. It's sort of absurd. Some people really wants to help and they ask permission, and I'm OK with that. I got my first chapter translated to portuguese! I almost cried in joy, but they took it down by themselves. We have to check from time to time. Google shows result for deleted pages too, so you can track everything.

@not_any_maryjane

I don't get why people steal other people's work. It's disheartening, what good is the credit if you know you didn't write it? It seems like false credit to me and getting compliments for writing that you didn't do - it seems rather pointless. I'm glad they took it down - although when I reported it I did tell them they had 24 hours or I would be taking legal action for allowing this girl to post my work without my permission and I wasn't very nice about it. The one thing that ticks me off more than anything are parasites who want the credit but don't want to do the work. I hope her account gets banned for that, they shouldn't just remove the stories, they should ban her.

@VanitySorrowHeart
I think they already took yours and mine down. I'm checking for the rest. There were five from this site, one of them a friend of mine.

@VanitySorrowHeart
Yes, of course. I totally get you. Well, to report it you have to look for a link at the bottom that says 'denunciar movella,' just above 'Comentarios.'

@not_any_maryjane

nvm I figured it out, I reported your story she stole on there as well. The web site better take them down. None of those stories seem to be her. Thanks for telling me Mary, I returned the favor since you reported mine that she stole. It's very much appreciated. Thanks again!

@not_any_maryjane

The web site is in spanish I managed to sign up but can you show me how to report? This as honored as I am - I'm actually annoyed as well...man people have no shame. If you tell me how to report I'll help you report yours as well to get them taken down.
