Omg I totally agree. I'm not a fan of After at all! I think the message is terrible. The plot is poorly done. Why in the hell would they make a movie when it's just a freaking fan fiction! There's no reason at all. It won't hit theaters. It'll be a B-flick if they actually make it. Does she even know movies cost to be made and people have to love the book to put money into it. Also the jewelry thing is so stupid. In my opinion After is overrated and over hyped. There's so many better fanfictions out there that don't get as nearly enough credit. I'm glad we both agree on this. Truly there should have never been a second and third, and really who would want to publish this? Come on they can find a better story to publish that will actually sale. Sorry that I'm ranting like a nut lol. But I totally see where you're coming from. I agree 100 percent!
Amen and Preach! The first book sort of intrigued me but then I just couldn't finish the trilogy. Harry is nothing like the Harry in After. Having Harry abuse someone emotionally, sexually and/or anything isn't okay. It strips his real self. I heard that Harry is really upset do to the fact that After is getting published and being made into a movie. What celebrity would want to go through that? It's going to be showing off a character and not the true him. People will be getting the wrong idea of him and keep yelling at him for being a 'man whore' and all. Which is not true in anyway shape or form.
I also agree. To be honest, I enjoyed reading 'After', but I feel as though when it's published, it will definitely send the wrong message about Harry. I liked the book but if it's out in the open on a shelf in a bookstore, where anyone can read it, I feel as though people will be assuming all of these things about Harry that aren't true. And that makes me sad.
If what was said is true, and Harry is disappointed about 'After' being published, then I don't think they should publish it. He is one of the characters in the original fanfiction after all, and should therefore get a say in it.
Bottom line: After is a fanfic that I enjoyed reading, but if publishing it means more bad publicity for Harry (especially since he is the polar opposite of the Harry portrayed in 'After') I think that it's better off simply staying on Wattpad.
Thanks for the comments guys! It really means a lot! On Twitter some people are getting harassed by either Anna's fans or by a 26 year old man who says that he's her "friend" and it sickens me. We all have our own opinion, we're not hating on her. We're stating FACTS. I found out more evidence about Anna on Twitter. She stole someone's story on Wattpad. She was friends with this girl named Walrusharry and then Anna started being a bitch to her and stole her story. Then, Anna lied and blamed her for stealing After and all of her fans started hating on Walrusharry but Anna didn't do anything about it and made them stop she just let them harass the poor girl. I just don't know how Anna is getting away with everything that she did wrong. It's so unfair and it's making me mad
I agree with a girl with a dream. And it's refreshing to find other fanfic writers with this similar opinion

I know I'm going to get hate once I say this but I'm getting tired of After and Anna getting away with everything! If you ask me, it doesn't deserve to get published and put into a movie. I know it's just a 'fanfic' but still, it's going to ruin Harry's image along with Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis'. In all 3 After books, Harry abuses Tessa and he even made her have sex with him when she was on her period, like that is disgusting and people who read it call it 'love' but abuse and rape isn't LOVE! But it disgusts me even more that they want a relationship like Hessa. So you actually want a man to abuse you sexually, emotionally, and violently? Now that is pathetic. You should want a relationship with someone that wouldn't lay a hand on you like that. Harry in real life wouldn't even fucking hit a girl he loves or any girl that he knows because he was raised right! Anne (Des too) raised him to be a gentleman but if After ends up getting published, the media is just going to continue to write about him being "the next Christian Gray", a 'womanizer', and all that shit they give him all they time. It's so unfair how the media treats him like that! They never wrote about when he helped fans who got trampled on the side walks when he's visiting in the cities, or when he spent over a 50 grand on pizza to give to the homeless people on the streets in LA. The only positive thing I saw written about him was when he gave fans cupcakes and when the boys went to Africa for Red Nose Day and he cried when he saw the sick children. I have so many reasons why After shouldn't be published and made into a movie but I'm only giving 7.
1. Anna portrayed Anne as a whore when she's clearly the nicest and most beautiful person ever! The media could write shit about her too because she's Harry's mother. I may not know Anne personally but just by looking at her, I can tell she's a happy and caring person.
2. Anna catfished her 'fans' saying she's 18 years old and a college student but clearly, 25 years old and married and that's illegal to lie about your identity in Texas and that's where she's from but sadly, no one gives a shit about it except for the people who are against After and they're letting her get away with it.
3. She's illegally selling a jewelry line for her fucking book
4. She's not a One Direction fan. If she was, she wouldn't make Harry into some monster that hurts women and makes bets with them. I (including everyone else) care about Harry more than anything and I would NEVER make Harry's character like that. That's why I always make him like the person he is in real life.
5. Supposedly her name 'Anna Todd' isn't her real name. I don't care if it's a penname and Dr. Seuss did the same but he was a real AUTHOR. Anna isn't.
6. She said no one is going to know it's about Harry but her username on Wattpad is on the fucking cover of the published version of After and it's easy to look it up on the internet and the first result will be about 1D. And she said she's changing Harry's name to 'Hardin' in the story. Yeah well done. Sarcasm.
Disagree with me all you want but this is true FACTS! Look at the suspendannatodd tag on Twitter, all what I just said is in there. Anna is a fake. If she were a true fan, she wouldn't make a fanfic and would want it published and made into a movie. She just wrote it because obviously she wants to frame Harry. He may ignore all that but still deep down, I'm sure he feels really hurt when they're spreading untrue shit about him. Harry is a humble, caring, sweet, sensitive, generous, funny, adorable, and most down to earth person ever. No other celeb I know of is like him. He's a true gentleman. He treats everyone with RESPECT, including women. He said he never calls 'dibs' when he see's an attractive woman because he thinks it objectifies them. Remember when the paps called him a 'sex symbol' & a 'womanizer' and he broke down in tears? Yeah, that broke my heart to see him like that and if After gets published and made into a movie and the media writes untrue facts about him, he's going to get upset and I don't want to see him like that again!
That's why I have a special place for him in my heart. I love all 5 of them but Harry will always be my babe. I love him so much and I would hate to see him upset if he see's a fanfic framing him. Judge me all you want and tell me it's 'just a fanfic' or 'she's changing the names' but I'm just stating my opinion. If you're a true fan you wouldn't take Anna's side. I'm a true fan and want to protect Harry. Okay, I'm done ranting.
