The Ending.

Walls.

After feeling the warm water wash away the events from yesterday I walked around Harry’s apartment for a while, a towel wrapped around my small figure. The shower had felt so good, I had spent so long just stood under the water. Never before had I had my own time in a situation like that.

Moving back into Harry’s room I looked over to the clothes on the bed. I put on my underwear from yesterday and slipped another t shirt of Harry’s over my head. Realising no jeans would fit me of his I pulled up my ripped black skinnies from yesterday. As I tied up the laces on my boots I noticed a huge dent in the back of the door. One that I seemed to have missed last night. It confused me but I didn’t want to ponder on the idea of Harry being abusing. He wasn’t’ like that…he couldn’t be like that.

I chucked on my leather jacket, grabbed the key and the money on the counter before making my way out the small apartment.

---------

Clothes. That was my first thought as I stepped into the huge supermarket. A few people had given me strange looks as I walked into the big store, but I didn’t let it phase me. I made my way over the shelves stacked with cheap underwear and quickly grabbed a few pairs. I could feel eyes watching my every move. Knowing that the workers assumed me to steal something. Even though I didn’t want to waste Harry’s money on myself I didn’t think he would be too pleased with finding me at a police station. After the underwear I made my way to the makeup section. Something Harry was lacking which a girl like me desired.

I picked up a mascara packet before examining the back of it, when a large hand grabbed my shoulder and spun me around.

“Nice top babe.” Chris. One of Donny’s mates. I shrugged his hand off and walked away. Strong Samantha strong.

“Hey I was talking to you, you bitch.” I felt my arm hauled back up into his body as he bent it slightly. Dropping my stuff I whimpered slightly.

“Let go. Now.” I sad though clenched teeth. His hand moved to my chest and he pulled down Harrys top.

“Looking nice still, we miss these Sammi baby.” With that I lifted my knee up and collided it with his crotch area as hard as I could. He fell to the floor and glared up at me. “When Donny finds you, it won’t be pretty baby.”

I ran off, luckily the store was big enough I had a chance to get lost in the isles. Grabbing a can of coke and a donut I paid and walked quickly out the store. My heart was racing and it felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. How was I supposed to tell Harry later what had happened? He wouldn’t let me leave his apartment again if he thought I would get hurt. The words “Be safe.” Rang through my ears in the same raspy velvety voice he always used.

Noticing a tree in the corner of the park I was in, I made my way under it. I should be hidden here I prayed to myself. Looking into my shopping bag, I saw the underwear I had got, one pack of mascara and the food. I know it was a bit weird suddenly buying food. But Donny never let me have things like this before. I didn’t even know if Harry’s cooking was good because I had nothing to compare it too. Maybe that’s why he liked me.

I pushed the top of the coke open and took a sip. A airy sharp texture ran through my nose making my face change in disgust. I had never had a coke before and everyone seemed to love them. But why? I sneezed from the fizzing feeling in the back of my throat and nose.

“That was not nice…” I spoke to myself, but before I knew it I had drunk the whole can and was eating the donut with ease. It felt so good to eat something so bad and full of junk.

“Enjoying yourself?” I jumped and put my hand to my chest to calm my breathing as Green eyes sat down next to me.

“God you scared me.”

“I’m not quite God but thank you for the compliment.” Before I knew it he had taken out my purchases. “Lace underwear…nice, mascara…not needed, empty coke can…understandable…donut…for me.” He moved his lips over and took a bite out of the chocolate sweet treat in my hand.

“Hey!” I pushed his shoulder away. “It’s mine I paid for it.”

“Yes with my money bottle girl.” I looked at him, his eyes upon my face already. “You seem kinda jumpy, is everything alright?” Looking away from him I fiddled with the laces on my boots.

“Everything is fine.” I smile at him, he didn’t believe it.

“Sam what hap-?” I cut him off quickly.

“Why aren’t you at band practice?”

“We are having a break, I normally go to the store get some food and sit under this tree. However someone was already under it with food. So I thought why not introduce myself.” He smirked up at his comment.

“Oh ha ha, good one.”

“I’m being serious.” His eyes locked onto mine and his hand reached out to tuck the fallen strand of hair behind my ear, but I moved away quickly.

“I think you should get back to practicing with your band.”

“I think you should drop your walls.” I looked at him with horror.

“What are you talking about?”

“You know what I’m talking about. You are hiding who you are. Pretending to me this bad girl. I know there is something behind these black boots and leather jacket.” Standing up I started to walk away. But he grabbed my hand and pulled me back down, causing me to fall on top of his body. His large hands held my arms so I couldn’t push myself back off of him. “Why do you always walk away from me? Don’t you trust anyone?”

“I don’t know how to trust someone.” I looked up at him slowly.

“Let me show you.” His touch moved the strand of hair behind my ear and I pushed him away from me.

“I’m going to be in your apartment for the rest of the day. Have fun at band practice.” Standing up I quickly walked away, praying the guy I wasn’t falling for would grab my arm again. He didn’t. But when I looked back he was still sat there with the bag of purchased things.

“You might want these bottle girl.” He waved the lace panties in the air. I stormed over and grabbed them and the bag from him.

“They were the cheapest okay?!”

“I see you like my shirt as well.” Winking at me he tugged on it. No Samantha don’t’ say it. Don’t say it.

“It smells nice.” His eyebrow raised and he stood up next to me, his tall frame over powering my small one.

“Smell me bottle girl.” He made a goofy face and I pushed him away as he tried enclose me in a hug. A giggle escaped my lips.

“Maybe another time green eyes.” I walked in the direction of his apartment he licked his lips one last time before walking in the other direction.

The only thing I could think about was why did I tell him he smelt nice? God Samantha get with it.

Harry’s POV

After band practice I walked in the direction of my apartment, the sun had just started setting over the buildings, for some reason I wanted to run my thumb over her soft cheek another time. I knew I had been too forward today. Telling her I knew she was hiding behind walls. It was a stupid thing to say I shouldn’t have done it.

I slung my guitar case over my shoulder and slumped my hands into my pockets. Looking across the road I was about to cross I saw the same leather jacket in the window of a store.

Samantha. What was she doing, she said she would be at the apartment all day. For some reason I felt protective over her. She was alone. I didn’t want that.

Making my way across the road I realised it wasn’t a store but a library instead. I chimed the door as I made my way in and she shuffled down the stairs to the lower floor not realising I had just entered. My body automatically wanted to follow her, watch her every graceful move.

Quietly I walked down the small stairs, my guitar case hitting the walls now and again. When I got to the bottom it was completely empty, book and books were stacked so tightly in shelves. It was like a maze of books. I saw a flash of her blonde hair in the corner of the room. My tall height helping me find her in the crowd of books. Her hair was softly tied to the back of her head, stray hairs falling out the messy bun. Her leather jacket was now around her hips and my top was pushed up her sleeves, I could see a few bruises and scars under the sleeves. She looked so silent, so calm. Her beauty radiating off of her fragile skin, untouched by makeup. I so badly wanted to touch her.

But If I ever found that guy again, I wouldn’t know what I would do to him. Ruining the love in her heart she had never known to feel. Her eyes caught mine and I suddenly froze.

Samanthas POV

“H-harry what are you doing here?” He had seen me. My quiet fragile self, looking at small books, reading the small print inside their beautiful covers. He had seen me when my walls weren’t up.

He made his way over slowly dropping his guitar case on the floor, I noticed his tongue run over his soft lips again.

His hands took the book from mine and he read it aloud

“if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”

I felt my cheeks blush uncontrollably and I saw his large hands place the book down slowly. I backed up slightly against the book shelf behind my, his eyes beating down on mine.

“You let your walls drop.” I could feel his warm breath nearing me as his body brushed against mine.

“I-I never had walls.”

“You know you did Sam.” His touch was gentle and his hands cupped my face, bringing my eyes towards his. He leant down slowly his forehead lightly touching mine. My body started to tremble. I was scared. Scared of letting him see me so vulnerable. He could tell I was nervous. So he spoke up.

“I didn’t know you read.”

“I mostly don’t get a chance to, when I was little I always use to run into a library and sit reading the books all day. My mum would always run in and drag me home saying how stupid it was. But I never stopped running back. It calms me. Knowing I can get lost in a few words, they protect me from the outside.”

“That’s…” His lips moved closer to mine “So…” I felt the brush against mine. “Beautiful.” I blushed like I was on fire as his lips pressed down against mine.

“I’m sorry we are closing now and don’t allow sex on any floor.” We both looked to see a worker standing at the bottom of the stairs. My breathing rapidly increasing as Harry’s hand moved down to my neck and stroked it slowly.

“Sorry we were just leaving. We’ll take this book too.” Harry picked up the book he had read aloud and picked up his guitar, urging me to follow. But I couldn’t. My lips still tinged from what had just happened between myself and a guy I had only met the other day. I felt as if I had known him my whole life in those couple of seconds that had just happened.

The worker took the book and walked up the stairs, Harry’s hand entwining with my sweaty one small one as it shook. “Come on bottle girl.” He whispered in my direction before we made our way up the stairs together.

Well this was going to be interesting tonight…
