All For Love
Chapter 4: Perfect
Kaylen
The day after my date with Harry, I walk into my office after my lunch break to find a vase full of sunflowers on my desk. I know they must be from harry, but how did he know that sunflowers are my favorite? I pick up the card beside the lavender vase.
Kaylen, I had a wonderful time at our date. It was a perfect outing. Let's have another perfect date. I have a surprise for you on Friday. Call me when you get a chance. All the love, H.
I'm amazed at how incredibly sweet Harry is. "What's got you all giggly today?" Ryan says from the doorway, startling me. "Oh, hey, Ryan." I say. "Harry just sent me these flowers and left a sweet note. He says he has a surprise for me." I explain. "Wow, girl. This is getting pretty serious. You've known each other for how long? Two weeks?" Ryan says, amused. "Two and a half." I correct, smirking.
"Ha, Ha." Ryan says, not impressed. "You're so lucky, Kaylen. Harry is the perfect gentleman." She's right, he is perfect. I've thought so for years. But now I get to see it for myself, and experience it firsthand. I really am lucky. "Anyways, " She continues, "There's a new draft for a catalog that Mr. Lancaster wants you to review. It's the fall edition." I look up, confused. "But it's only June. Shouldn't we be coming out with the summer edition?" I ask. "We always put out the new ones a couple months early. And the fall edition's still got a ways to go." She explains. "Oh okay. I'll get on it." I say with a nod.
I log into my computer and get to work on the catalog, looking at pictures and descriptions and editing them as needed. I look back up at my vase of flowers and smile. "Yep," I think to myself, "He really is perfect."
Harry
I'm sitting in my studio at home. It's been a long hard day of song writing. I just can't seem to write anything good today. all of a sudden, I hear my phone ring. I pick it up to see that it's Kaylen who's calling me. I feel excitement rise in my chest as I answer.
"Hi, Kaylen! I guess you got the flowers then?"
"Yeah, I did. They're beautiful, thank you! How'd you know sunflowers were my favorite?"
"You're quite welcome. I noticed you wear yellow a lot. Sunflowers were just a lucky guess. I'm glad you like them."
"So, what's the surprise?"
"Ah ah ah, if I told you that, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?"
"No, it wouldn't be. So what do I need to do?"
"Absolutely nothing. I'll pick you up at seven. Wear something nice, kind of formal."
"Okay. I can't wait!"
"Me neither. Alright love, I'll talk to you later"
"Okay. Bye, Harry"
"Bye"
I hang up the phone and smile. Just hearing her voice cheered me up. She really is something special, I can tell you that. I can't wait for her surprise on Friday. I hope she likes it. If she doesn't I don't know what I'll do. But I can't worry about that right now. I just have to make sure everything is perfect for her.

Notes
Hi guys! This one's a little shorter. And a bit boring, I know. I just needed this transition. It's very important to the plot, I promise!
All the love,
E.
