End of the Day

4

"Hello?" Liam answered his phone with his raspy, sleep-filled voice. Jaela hummed at the sound and held him tighter. He sounded so sexy first thing in the morning.
"Man, I know you don't feel good but you've gotta come in. We got another two repairs on top of the four we already had. We need you." Louis' voice held all of his stress.
"What time is it?" Liam inquired without opening his eyes.
Louis sighed, "Just after nine." Liam finally opened his eyes and looked at the clock. He sighed quietly, if they had that many repairs by nine, he needed to go. "Please." Louis practically begged.
"Yeah. Yeah. I'll be there." Liam stated. Jaela whimpered softly. "I might be a little slow getting there." Liam stated, trying to cover the fact that getting out of Jaela's bed would be hard.
"It's okay, just as long as you get here." Louis' tone held gratitude. Liam murmured a goodbye before throwing his phone on the night stand again. Liam turned his head and kissed Jaela's lips sweetly. He skimmed his fingers over the warm, soft flesh of her back.
"I have to go to work. We're slammed." He whispered to the half sleeping woman in his arms. Jaela whined and smoothed her hand over his abs to hold him tighter. "I know." Liam kissed her forehead. "But I do have to go." Jaela lifted her head and meshed her lips to his.
"You're so warm though." Jaela whispered breaking the kiss. "It's like having a sexy space heater in the bed." Jaela giggled quietly. Liam laughed loudly and kissed her forehead again. "Nooo." Jaela whined as Liam tried to get out of bed. "Stay in bed and kiss me." Jaela pleaded.
"Baby, I have to go to work." Liam laughed as he tried to push Jaela off of his body.
"First day of whatever this is and I'm already being sidelined for your job." Jaela teased with a pouting lip. Liam laughed again and kissed her softly. "Please, stay in bed." Jaela pleaded once more.
Liam shook his head, "I have to go. I promise I'll come over again tonight." Jaela continued to pout as she sat up and let the blankets fall from her naked body. "Cover up." Liam chuckled, reaching for his pants. Jaela lifted her eyebrow at him. "I will never make it out of this flat if you don't cover up." Liam explained. Jaela giggled as well as she wrapped her arms around Liam's torso. Her bare chest pressing against his warm, smooth, muscled back was driving both of them crazy. Jaela kissed Liam's neck lightly and slowly. "I'll leave early if I can. I did text the boys to tell them I felt sick." Jaela just hummed, continuing to pepper his neck and shoulders with tender kisses. Liam rubbed her hands that were resting on his abs gently. He kissed Jaela's head quickly, "I promise I will see you later." Liam carefully un-twined himself from Jaela's embrace. He grabbed his shirt from the bedroom floor and slipped it on.
"Give me a kiss before you go." Jaela demanded. "Ravage a woman all night and then say you're leaving five minutes before she would regularly get up. I deserve kisses." Jaela snickered. Liam leaned over and kissed her slowly. She leaned into him, wanting to pull him back into the bed.
"Don't worry. It's gonna happen again tonight." Liam smirked. Jaela quickly pulled Liam back into the bed. Liam yelped and began laughing as he landed on top of the girl that he'd spent the better part of a week lusting after. Jaela locked their lips hastily, winding her arms around Liam's neck. Liam smoothed his hand up her thigh and pulled her leg around his waist. "Baby, I have to go." He chuckled into the deep, passionate kiss.
"Fine." Jaela sighed heavily. Liam kissed her forehead then her neck sweetly.
"I'll see you later." Liam murmured before hopping off the bed and racing out the door. The sooner he got to the shop, the sooner he could leave and crawl back into Jaela's arms.

Liam walked into the garage with a sigh. He didn't want to be there. He had called in with the hope that he'd be able to spend the day in bed with Jaela. He went into the office, avoiding talking to anyone but Suzie for the moment. He knew as soon as the guys saw him, they would question his claim of being sick.
"Hey Suzie." Liam grumbled as he entered the office. "Where do you want me to start?" Liam inquired looking at the board.
"Sweetheart, you look exhausted. Why are you here?" Suzie's concern for Liam was plain as day.
Liam shrugged, "Louis called and said we have a ton of big repairs so here I am. Trust me, I'd rather be in bed." Suzie nodded and handed Liam a slip. Liam grunted as he read it, "Awesome, another set of brakes." He dropped the slip onto the desk then headed to the main part of the shop. He could hear Suzie laughing in the office as he headed to the car.

"Oi, Liam, you look really tired." Louis stated when he came face to face with his friend. Liam just nodded and reached for his tools. "What the heck happened to you last night? Did you drink too much?" Louis teased. Liam shook his head and slid under the car.
"How did it go with the girl that owns the impala?" Harry asked, not looking away from the car he was working on.
"Good." Liam smiled to himself. "Car works fine and she got home okay." He added with little emotion. He didn't want to tell them about the passionate, sexy night he'd had with Jaela. The boys around the shop gave each other strange looks. They'd heard the odd tone that Liam had used with them. He was hiding something.

"Hey, Liam, look who's here." Niall chuckled, nudging his friend gently. Liam turned his head to see Jaela climbing out of her car with a nervous expression. Liam smiled and dropped everything in his hands.
"So transparent." Harry muttered. "She's gonna see right through you!" Harry called after Liam as he made his way to Jaela. Liam snickered quietly; the boys had no idea that Jaela knew exactly how he felt about her.
"Hey baby." Liam grinned as he met Jaela in the middle of the lot. Jaela grinned brightly at the man covered in sweat and engine grease. She reached out and wiped a bit of the grease off his cheek. "I swear it never comes off." Liam grunted, wiping his face with the back of his hand.
Jaela shook her head and smiled, "Nah, it looks good on you, baby." Liam couldn't help but break into a smile himself. "I brought you lunch." Jaela stated, holding out the bag in her hand. Liam's smiled widened as he took the bag from her hand. "I can go grab you something else if you're not a fan." Jaela's little bit of nervousness came back as Liam looked into the bag.
"This is my usual from a place we always go to. How did you know?" Liam inquired, his smile growing bigger even though he was sure that it wasn't possible.
"I just had a feeling." Jaela's smile showed her relief. "When is your lunch anyway?" Jaela asked softly.
Liam checked his watch, "In ten minutes. Do you wanna stay and keep me company?" Jaela nodded happily. She wanted to spend as much time with him as she could. The smile on Liam's face told her that she'd made exactly the right choice. Liam scooped Jaela up in his arms, holding her body against his. Jaela wrapped her arms around his neck and stroked the back of his hair with gentle fingers. "Thank you for bringing me lunch, baby." Liam whispered. Jaela giggled quietly and stood on her tip toes. They're lips met for a sweet kiss. Jaela leaned into Liam more and held him tighter. "I have to help with these last few repairs before lunch. I'll only be a few minutes." Liam stated, backing out of the kiss. Jaela just gazed up at him and nodded. "Go sit on the back of that flat-bed." Liam motioned to the large truck next to the tow. Jaela turned her gaze back to Liam again and smiled. Liam pressed his mouth to hers once again, wanting to satisfy her for the moment. "Go sit, baby. I'll be there in a minute." Liam murmured, breaking the kiss once again.
"At least I can watch you work." Jaela smirked a bit as she palmed his biceps in a seductive manner.
"Go." Liam chuckled, pushing Jaela at the truck gently. Jaela giggled as she took the lunch she'd got for Liam and bounced over to the truck like he had asked. Liam shook his head and peeked back at the boys in the garage. All of them had their mouths hanging open. "What are you all on about?" Liam asked with a blatant smirk as he went back to the car he had been working on.
"Excuse me?" Harry was surprised by Liam's flippant attitude. "You were just kissin' that girl."
"Yes." Liam laughed. "Kissed her this morning when we woke up as well. And last night before she fell asleep." Liam informed the men in the garage. He started to laugh again when he saw the flabbergasted faces. "What?" Liam asked, bending over the engine again.
"I don't even know what to say." Louis replied. Liam shook his head and continued on with his work. He wanted to be done faster so he could go sit with the girl he hadn't stopped thinking about since he left her bed. "Can we just go to lunch now? I can't think." Louis asked, his tone completely teasing.
"Actually. Great idea." Liam stated. He dropped the wrench in his hand and smiled at the boys. "Head out for lunch." They all stared at him with shock again. Liam shook with laughter as he walked to Jaela.
"Has it been ten minutes already?" She asked when Liam jumped on the back of the truck with her.
"Nope. Called lunch early." Liam replied with a sweet smile. "You can do that when you're the boss." Jaela lifted her eyebrow at him. "I own the shop." Liam stated.
"You failed to mention that." Jaela murmured, leaning into Liam as he started on the meal she had brought him.
"The man that owned it before me, he really liked me so when he retired he gave it to me. He didn't have any kids or anything." Liam explained. Jaela smiled brightly as she listened.
"You know, when Suzie is sick, if you ever need a sexy receptionist..." Jaela smirked.
"A dangerous idea." Liam laughed. "I'd never get any work done." Jaela kissed his cheek quickly. "What have you been doing on your free day?" Liam jested.
"Almost nothing." Jaela stated. "I washed laundry and cleaned my flat. We made a right mess in the kitchen last night." She murmured, hiding rosy cheeks. "I'm going to the shops after your lunch is over." Liam nodded and placed his hand on Jaela's thigh, gently slipping it between her legs. It was an innocent gesture, just meant to show that he wanted her close. Jaela wrapped her arm around Liam's. "You know, you can use both hands to eat. I'll be alright if you're not touching me for a few minutes."
"Who says I would be?" Liam teased before kissing her sweetly. Jaela shook her head and scooted closer to him.
"Your friends seem to be losing their minds over there." Jaela pointed to the table where the others sat. They were trying to watch Liam and Jaela inconspicuously, but were failing.
"They haven't seen me with a woman in a very long time." Liam informed her. "I had a girl when I first came here but that failed quickly. I haven't really had a girl since."
"Dates here and there but nothing serious?" Jaela asked with a knowing glint in her eyes. Liam nodded slowly. "Me too. I haven't really been with anyone since I moved here."
"LIAM, honey!" Suzie called to him from the office. Liam pretended like he didn't hear her. It backfired on him when Suzie came out of the office with a hand on her hip. "Liam, I know you can hear me." Suzie scolded him before she saw Jaela sitting at his side. "Oh, Miss Jaela. I didn't know you were here." Suzie's shock was blatant.
"Can you please just call me Jaela now?" She asked shyly.
Suzie smirked a bit, "Jaela, what brings you here in the middle of a Friday?" Jaela blushed and looked up at Liam. "I thought so." Suzie snickered.
"What did you need, Suzie?" Liam inquired of the older woman. Suzie didn't answer right away. She took in the sight of the once solitary boy with his hand tied up in that of the sweet girl beside him. For Suzie, it was nice to see the smile on his face in his eyes as well. "Suzie." Liam laughed. "What do you need?"
"I need some help moving things in the office. My old bones can't handle it." Suzie replied honestly. Liam grumbled slightly but moved to get up.
"I'll help you, Miss Suzie." Jaela smiled brightly, jumping off the back of the truck. Suzie appeared shocked once again.
"Jae, I can do it." Liam stated, pulling her back toward the truck.
Jaela smiled up at Liam, "No. You eat your lunch, baby." Jaela kissed his cheek softly, leaving him stunned for a moment. "Show me the way, Miss Suzie!" Jaela shouted with enthusiasm. Suzie led Jaela toward the office with no reservations.

"So Jaela..." Suzie began as Jaela moved the boxes of files around the office for her. "You and Liam have taken quite the liking to each other." Suzie stated. Jaela smiled as her cheeks turned bright red. "Don't worry, I'm not asking for details." Suzie chuckled. Jaela just nodded and kept moving the stack like Suzie had asked. "He's a very sweet man, you know. All of my kids have moved away, have lives of their own." Suzie stated. Jaela lifted her brow at Suzie. "That man comes over every other Sunday to mow my lawn and check the oil in my car. In the winter, he keeps my walkways safe. He is a sweet man."
"I mean, everything between us started because he was kind enough to drive me home." Jaela murmured. Suzie smiled and nodded. "He seems really close with the boys that work here." Jaela giggled as she looked out the window to see all of the boys laughing together.
"They're like brothers. You'll like them." Suzie chuckled again. "If Liam lets go of you long enough for you to meet them." Jaela couldn't help but giggle as well. "I'm sure Liam won't bring it up to you. I know he can be kind of shy." Suzie began, putting her arm over Jaela's shoulder. "I make dinner for those foolish children and their girlfriends once a month. It's this Sunday. I want you to be there with Liam."
"I can definitely talk to him about it." Jaela replied softly. The thought of already doing a meet the family type event worried her. She adored Liam but she didn't want things to move too fast.
"I think he needs you." Suzie laughed loudly, pointing to Liam who was waving his arms in the direction of the office. Jaela looked over and cackled herself. Liam was making a fool of himself in front of his friends trying to get her attention. "Thank you for the help, Jaela." Suzie grinned as Jaela left the office to rejoin Liam.

"Hey, baby." Liam purred as he wrapped his arms around Jaela's waist. Her cheeks flushed pink when the tone of his voice created that very familiar stir in her belly. His lips brushed over hers briefly. "Meet my friends?" Liam asked shyly. Jaela nodded and let Liam bring her a bit closer to the table they were all sat at. "Boys, this is Jaela." He introduced her casually. "Jae, my boys. Harry." Liam pointed to the one with the curly hair, striking green eyes and dimples. "Louis." The boy with dozens of tattoos and the smile of the Cheshire cat. "And Niall." The boy with a bright smile, blue eyes and contagious laugh. "You've met Wes before. He's out on a pick up." Liam informed her.
"Hello boys." Jaela smiled nervously, holding onto Liam a little tighter. "How are you?" Jaela tried to be as polite as possible even though she was nervous. All three of the boys spoke in unison, a resounding "good" was the answer. "I should get going, Liam." Jaela murmured, gazing up at his sweet, brown eyes.
"Why? Is something wrong?" Liam's worry showed instantly.
Jaela smiled and shook her head, "No. Not at all." Liam stared at her like he didn't believe her. "I have to go do the shopping. I need somethings at home so I can make supper." Jaela explained. "Are you still coming over tonight?" Jaela asked shyly, her cheeks turning pink knowing his friends could hear the question.
"Of course. Might have to stop off at my house before I come over to shower." Liam replied. Jaela lifted her brow at him, not knowing why he'd need to shower at his own house. "Don't wanna get engine grease all over your place again." Jaela smirked and shook her head. "What?" Liam was instantly confused.
"I don't know if you've noticed this, but I kind of like it." Jaela snickered, forgetting that the other boys were listening in. Liam chuckled and kissed her gently. "Just come over."
"I'll see you when I'm done with work." Liam stated to appease the woman in his arms. He had every intention of stopping at his house to shower and pick up clothes for the weekend.
"Good." Jaela beamed up at him. Liam was drawn in by her smile again. He kissed her slowly, not caring what his friends would have to say in a few minutes. They all had the tendency to act like teenagers with each other still. Jaela whimpered softly when Liam tried to back out of the kiss. "I'll see you later, baby." He murmured, holding her chin in his hand gently. Jaela giggled, bouncing onto her tip toes to kiss Liam once more. She couldn't get enough of it.
"It was lovely to meet you, boys." Jaela spoke politely to them once again. They all murmured words that showed they agreed. "Bye, Liam." She murmured before walking back to her car.
Liam smirked and folded his arms over his chest as he watched Jaela walk away. He was just now understanding the phrase of "hate to see her go but love to watch her leave". He chuckled at himself and shook his head. He knew he had to turn and face his lads but he just wanted to look at the girl that was already taking up every corner of his mind again. When she climbed into her car, Liam faced his friends again.
"What?" He inquired when he saw how they were looking at him.
Harry smiled genuinely, "She seems really nice." Liam's face lit up again as he sat back down. "Is she going to come to Suzie's on Sunday?" Harry inquired. Liam's stomach dropped a bit at the thought. He'd made plans to spend the whole weekend with Jaela and forgot all about Suzie's dinner. Liam shrugged slowly, not wanting to admit his lapse in memory.
"Oh come on, Liam." Louis chortled. "You know that Suzie didn't actually need help. She had your girl move boxes from one spot to another so she could get her alone. You know Suzie's invited her." Louis' voice held more than amusement now.
Liam shrugged again, "I'll talk to her about it. I'm not sure if it's a good idea."
"Why wouldn't it be a good idea?" Niall asked seriously. "You like her and she obviously likes you. Why not have her come with? I doubt it's going to scare her away."
"Exactly." Liam rolled his eyes. "I don't want to scare her away. Its really close to a meet the family kind of dinner. I don't want to push."
Harry took his chance to agree with Niall, "I don't think it will phase her. Bring her." Liam listened to the advice of his friends. He would be asking Jaela about the outing when he had her soft and exhausted from making love.

I’m so glad you like it! I’ve rekindled my love for Liam as well. I’m loving writing this. I’m kind of tempted to try something a little more “real” with Liam. Niall is still my main man tho. ❤️

I'm in love with this story already. Your bringing back my love for Liam. I was on a Niall run for the longest time.

@Kammy.
Oh ya silly gorl.
