End of the Day

2

Jaela woke with her alarm like she would every morning. She decided she would get up and dressed early. She would use the time before the shop opened to run other errands. She knew that she wanted to see Liam as early in the day as she possibly could. Jaela wanted to see his rugged, handsome face before she started on the mountain of work she had brought home with her. Jaela jumped from her bed and raced to the shower. She wanted to look a little more put together than she had the night before.

Looking in the mirror one last time, Jaela fixed her hair and made sure she looked completely presentable. She took a deep breath before heading for the door. She picked up her purse and made her way out. The look the guy across the hall gave her told her that she had indeed picked a good outfit for her running around. Her jeans hugged her curves in all of the right places as well as her old, cut up, Aerosmith shirt showing just enough cleavage. She hoped that Liam would be as entranced by her as she was by him. Jaela smiled at the man who lived across the hall politely before heading to the elevator.

Anxiousness crept into Jaela's mind as she exited the taxi in front of the auto shop. She could see Liam leaned over her car talking with the other men that worked there. She ran her hand through her hair to make it look messier, more attractive. She watched Liam for just a moment longer. Jaela studied the way he was bent over the car, how his muscles contracted and expanded as he used whatever tool he had in his hand. A smile appeared on her face when she saw him laughing with another man. She inhaled deeply before heading into the office. She'd hoped that Liam hadn't seen her. She needed another moment to decide if coming to the shop was a good idea or not.

Liam walked around Jaela's car slowly. He was trying to figure out how to go about taking care of the repairs. The previous night kept playing over and over in his head. She obviously was attracted to him. The way her eyes lingered on his and the way her touch was so warm and soft. She kept giving off the vibe that she wanted him. He had been hoping for an invitation up to her apartment, even if it was just to have a drink and chat. He enjoyed her company, what little he got of it. But the way she chewed on her lip when he ran his hands through his hair. She looked at him with lustful eyes that were begging him to touch her. He wanted to but she never said she wanted it. Liam sighed heavily and adjusted his jeans; he could feel the blood rushing below his belt. He played it off to the other guys in the shop like he need to adjust to bend over the side of Jaela's car.
"So, Liam." One of the guys in the shop, Niall began. Liam lifted his eyes from Jaela's engine for a moment. "The owner of that car, she's pretty hott."
Liam shrugged, "Yeah. I guess." There was no way that he was telling his friends the owner of the car had made him weak in the knees. Liam had also decided there was no way in hell he'd share with them that she had plagued his thoughts all night, that he had tossed and turned as he dreamed of her in his bed.
"You guess? Liam, she was a babe!" Another man shouted from across the shop.
"She was really nice to me. And she's very beautiful." Liam stated leaning over the car again. Everyone in the shop scoffed and laughed. "Is there a reason we're talking about this?" Liam inquired not looking up from the engine. He was trying to remove the oil well to fix the crack. He was going to fix the radiator last.
"Because she's in Suzie's office." Harry, the mechanic next to him stated. Liam turned with a smile. He could see Jaela speaking to Suzie in the office. He dropped his wrench and made his way over.
"You're transparent, mate!" Louis shouted at him from underneath a car. Liam just flipped him off as he walked quicker to Suzie's office. HE smiled when he reached the door. "Hey Suzie, can you call the owner of the impala?" He asked as he stepped into the office.
"Here." Jaela grinned as she turned to face him.
"Oh hi." Liam chuckled nervously, hoping he wouldn't be as transparent with Jaela. "Um, I've started to work on your car and it looks like I might actually have it done by the day after tomorrow so no worries." Liam smile hopefully at her. He'd hoped that it wasn't too obvious that he loved her attire for the day. She looked much more relaxed and, if it was even possible, more lustful.
"Oh cool. I was just actually asking about that. I decided to go to the rental place that you recommended last night. Needed to know how long to rent the car for." Jaela stated. Liam nodded. Jaela hoped that her story was believable. She really stopped by because she wanted to see if the chemistry that had been between her and Liam the night before was a fluke. It hadn't been. She still felt that tinge in her thighs and the lurch in her stomach. She wanted him so badly.
"Right. Just three days." Liam grinned. He could feel the desire and tension rolling off of Jaela. He tried to hide a smirk as she bit her lip. He had smoothed his hand through his hair just to elicit a reaction from her. She wanted him. He was going to try his best to make her say it. Jaela had the same thoughts about Liam, by the end of the three days, she was going to be much closer to the man in front of her.

Jaela returned home to her mountain of work. She threw her purse on the table by the door before heading to the bedroom to change. Granted, her clothes were comfortable but she didn't want to sit around the house in them. She reached into her closet and pulled out an old t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Jaela didn't feel ready to face the stack of work that laid on her coffee table but she knew it needed to be done. She had the rest of a romance novel to finish a proof read on and house work to do. As much as Jaela wanted to lie around, she knew she had to get to work.
Jaela laid back on her sofa, contently reading through the latest romance novel to come across her desk. She sighed as she read through more cliches and over-used fallacies of life. Jaela sipped her tea and continued on, trying to keep as much attention on the novel as possible. She was struggling though; there were certain parts that made her think of Liam. Jaela grinned as her eyes reached one of those parts. Jaela sat up a little more, holding the manuscript just a bit tighter. She licked her lips in anticipation of what was about to happen next.
While her eyes followed the words that described an erotic encounter, Jaela's mind drifted back to Liam. She thought of herself as the main protagonist in the story and Liam as her lover. She pictured his hands skimming her body, devouring her lips. She imagined it was her and Liam disrobing in that lustful frenzy. Jaela chewed her bottom lip as she envisioned Liam's head ducking between her legs and his lips dancing over the hot, tender flesh of her inner thighs. Jaela laughed at herself as she tried to imagine what his tongue and lips would feel like. She threw the manuscript on the table and stood. A bath is what she decided she really needed. Though she knew that the dirty thoughts of him would return in the bath as well, she also knew how easy it would be to relieve herself of the issue of trembling thighs while alone.

Jaela's eyes snapped open with a bit of shame as her phone rang on the counter beside the tub. She quickly sat up and dried her hands. Grabbing her phone, she sighed in relief, just a girl from work. She pressed the "accept" button with a deep breath to calm her quaking body.
"Hello?" Jaela answered softly. She wasn't sure what to expect from Dani at this hour. Yes, it was only after five but that probably meant she wanted to go out for drinks.
"Hey! Did you get your car figured out?" Dani asked, a genuine concern in her voice.
"Uh, yeah. I did. Thanks for checking on me." Jaela couldn't help but laugh a little at the giddy sound Dani released in hearing the answer.
"Awesome! We're going out tonight. It's gonna be us, Rachel, Gretchen and Jackie." Dani shouted with happiness. Jaela shook her head and just smiled. She loved that Dani wouldn't ever give her the choice to say no.
"Alright. Where are we going?" Jaela inquired, deciding she needed the time with her friends. It would take her mind off the sexy mechanic working on her car. Dani squealed in excitement again as she gave Jaela the name of the club and directions. "Just to be clear, why are we going out on a Tuesday night?" Jaela chuckled softly.
"Because it's Tuesday. It's Monday's uglier twin sister." Dani grumbled. Jaela let out a loud laugh and agreed. "I'll see you at seven." Dani stated quickly before hanging up on Jaela. Jaela shook her head and placed her phone back on the counter. She needed to actually bathe now that she had somewhere to be.

Jaela entered the club with Rachel. She'd gotten the call last minute to go pick her up. Not that Jaela minded, she enjoyed Rachel's company. Rachel had given her the run down of what had happened at the office all day, giving tips on how to deal with the work load they'd all gotten that morning. Rachel also told cute stories of her son, a boy of three who was tenacious and hilarious.
"YAY! You're here!" Dani shouted, rushing Jaela and Rachel. Dani enveloped them in a hug. "I was afraid you guys weren't coming.
"Nope. Just went to go pick up Rach." Jaela replied, still in awe of Dani's enthusiasm. "We're gonna go get some wine." Jaela informed Dani, pulling Rachel's sleeve gently. Rachel agreed and followed Jaela to the bar.
When Jaela and Rachel reached the bar, the air escaped Jaela's chest. Shee felt slightly uneasy seeing Liam, the hunky mechanic that had been haunting all of her alone time. Rachel noticed the change in Jaela but didn't say a word. She calmly watched the way her friend began to move and speak.
"Hi!" Liam shouted, seeing Jaela's beautiful face in front of him.
Jaela giggled slightly, "Hello, Liam." He turned away from his friends, the ones she recognized from the garage. "How are you?" She inquired; she had no idea what to say or how to say it. It wasn't that long before this moment she was pleasuring herself to the thought of him.
"Out for some fun?" Liam asked, dodging her question completely. He didn't want to tell her that she'd been all he'd thought about all day long.
Jaela nodded, "Yeah, friends from work." Liam could only nod as well. He had no idea what to say to her. "Don't you have a car you need to be working on?" Jaela teased, trying to lighten the mood between them.
"Yeah." Liam laughed loudly. "I'm waiting on a part for you." He informed her. Jaela nodded slowly; she didn't want to talk about the car. She wanted to talk about him and how handsome he was and if he had a girlfriend waiting at home. "Do you come here often?" Liam asked, trying to keep conversation flowing between them. Something they both seemed to be failing at.
"No." Jaela responded. "This is my first time here. My friend picked it. Do you?" Jaela sounded relieved by the topic.
Liam nodded, "Yeah. Don't live to far from here. It's not my favorite place but it works."
"Jaela, I'm going to go sit down now." Rachel murmured to her friend with a bit of a smirk. Jaela just nodded and let Rachel walk away. She knew that he table of friends would be full of questions when she returned. As Rachel left them, Liam had a moment of courage.
"Can I buy you a drink?" Liam asked Jaela with a bright smile. He was hoping that she would agree and talk for a moment longer.
Jaela smiled shyly, "Yes." Liam grinned and leaned over the bar top to get the bartender's attention.
Liam politely ordered himself another beer then looked to Jaela, "Best red for the pretty girl."
"How did you know?" Jaela asked with a bit of shock.
"Well," Liam chuckled nervously. "A girl as beautiful as you, it doesn't take that much of a guess." Jaela's cheeks turned pink. Liam laughed loudly once again, "And I found a brand new bottle of red wine in your car." Jaela laughed as well and punched Liam in the arm playfully. Liam's heart skipped a beat when Jaela sat down next to him.

"Hey, Jaela." Her head turned at the sound of her name. Dani smiled at her softly, "Hey, you think you can come back to the table?" Dani asked shyly, seeing the smile her friend wore. Jaela nodded quickly. She'd forgotten that she'd even come with friends as she spoke to Liam.
"I'm sorry." Jaela murmured to Liam. Liam shook his head and dismissed the apology. His few minutes with her were more than he'd expected for the evening. "I'll see you Thursday evening?" Jaela asked Liam happily.
Liam nodded again, "Yes. If things change, Suzie will call you." Jaela slid off the barstool with a smirk; she made sure her body brushed Liam's ever so slightly. She wanted to be the woman on his mind.
"Thank you for the drink." Jaela murmured, close to his ear. Liam thought his heart was about to leap out of his jeans. She placed her hand on his forearm gently, "See you Thursday." Liam cleared his throat and nodded slowly. Jaela grinned and bounced away after Dani. Liam couldn't help but watch her walk away.

I’m so glad you like it! I’ve rekindled my love for Liam as well. I’m loving writing this. I’m kind of tempted to try something a little more “real” with Liam. Niall is still my main man tho. ❤️

I'm in love with this story already. Your bringing back my love for Liam. I was on a Niall run for the longest time.

@Kammy.
Oh ya silly gorl.
