Lie To Me

Girls Trip.

Our plane landed in Paris bright and early the next day and I still felt completely uneasy. All I want to do is crawl back into Luke’s arms.
“Ry. First stop, breakfast at a cafe with a view.”
“Of?” I replied, not awake, but also irritated I couldn’t just go home.
“The Eiffel tower of course!” Emma squealed.
I shrugged and quickly followed them to the hotel.
As we walked inside I lost my breath. The room was a beautiful victorian style with chandeliers from the ceiling, candle sticks as decorations, and a gorgeous wall of doors with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
“How could you afford this Sar?” I finally gasped.
She shrugged, “I have my ways.”
“This is amazing.” Emma joined.
“It is. It really is. And we will have no time to spend in it, so can we please say our goodbyes now, before you get more attached?”
“What?” Emma and I were taken back.
“I have planned this entire day. We don’t have time to spend in here.”
“So... Breakfast?” Emma asked, trying not to be upset, it’s just who Sarah is to plan everything.
“Yes! Let’s go.”

As breakfast wrapped up I saw a group of screaming girls and couldn’t help but think of Luke.
“Ry?”
“Hmm?” I hummed, not taking my eyes off what the girls were screaming about.
“Riley.” Sarah became more stern.
“What?” I scowled.
“Geez. What’s your problem?”
“Sorry. I was lost in a trance. I just-- I don’t know. I’m sorry.”
“Were you hoping it was Luke?”
“Kind of, I suppose. Is that crazy?”
“Well, in theory he’s in another country so...” Emma started.
“Right.” I sighed, “What’s next?”
“I figured we could do some shopping for tonight’s event.”
“And what exactly is that?” I asked.
“Watching the tower light up.”
“You are the most basic tourist.” I chuckled.
Sarah shrugged, “You’ll like it.”
“Probably.” I smiled, “Let’s get to it then.”
“Shopping without me? I’m offended.” a familiar voice broke from behind us.
“Crystal?! You came!”
“Of course I did!”
“What about the festival?”
“It was great! All great things must come to an end.” she smiled.
“I have missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.” she gave me a tight hug. “Let’s get shopping.”
“How are the boys?” I asked as we walked to the first store.
“Getting into mischief for sure.”
“Oh?”
“We left them alone, we are the only thing that keeps them sane. They are probably running wild.”
“You’re probably right.” I smiled.

Sarah’s P.O.V.

“What was with the crowd of screaming girls?” I whispered to Crystal as Emma distracted Riley.
“Michael came to grab my bags and everyone rushed to our side.”
“Points for being a gentleman, but dammit Michael.”
“Don’t worry, everything is still on track.” Crystal reassured me.
“Guys!” Riley exclaimed, “Look at this dress!” She held up a beautiful navy blue, glitter bodice, floor length dress with what looked like a slit on the left thigh.
“Wow.” We all gasped.
“Is this too much for the Eiffel Tower lighting up?”
“No.” We all agreed, knowing what was really going to happen.
“I’m going to try it on.” she beamed.
“No one tell Luke how breathtaking she is going to look.” Emma whispered.
Riley soon appeared in the dress, looking even better on her than on the hanger.
“You have to get it.” I smiled.
“Absolutely have to.” Crystal added.
“Done!” Riley exclaimed, turning to change.

Riley’s P.O.V.

I walked to the register with a few new items.
“It’s all taken care of.” the cashier spoke in a very french accent.
“Sorry? No, I need to pay for it.”
She laughed as though I didn’t understand, “It is paid for madam.”
“I--”
“Riley! I just loved it on you so much and felt so bad for not making it to Australia, I bought you the dress and everything else I saw you pick up.” Crystal popped in.
“Oui.” the cashier smiled.
“Well thank you, and merci.” I replied, heading outside. The fresh air hit me like a train. For a moment I thought Luke bought everything like he did months ago when he came bursting back into my life.
“You okay?” Sarah asked.
“I just really miss him.”
“Would grapes, wine and cheese in the courtyard of the Eiffel make you feel better?” she smiled excitedly.
“Definitely.” I replied excitedly.

I'm so glad and thankful ♡ hopefully I'll be seeing you on the prequel soon.

<3 urgh you are just the sweetest! Thank you for creating a beautiful story for me to enjoy - this and a few others were literally the only thing that kept me going while I spent 9 months studying in America so.. <3

@Kat21
I'll never argue with more of your writing for me to indulge in :D as long as there is some happiness for Luke and Riley eventually then I'm happy.. <3

@Prinny1321
I promise to give them 5 minutes of happiness.... BUT I think it'll be in a prequel so we can really fall in love with them.... AND THEN a sequel so I don't just leave you hanging on her being pregnant... Thoughts? :)

@Kat21
YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK ME INSIDE IF YOU DON'T LET THEM HAVE 5 MINS OF HAPPINESS OMG! :'( :')
