Lie To Me

Glamping.

A few hours later we landed in Finland. The sun was just rising and I could feel the dew in the air. Luke took my hand and guided me off the plane.
“How does some breakfast sound?” he asked softly.
“Delicious. What’s on the menu?”
“Follow me.” he smiled.
Luke took me over to a small, red, older Skoda convertible. “What’s this?” I laughed.
“We may be going glamping, but this is more down to Earth. Skoda is the most popular car here.”
“I know, but I pictured some fancy version of the car, not something out of a bad 90’s music video.” I chuckled.
“Give it a chance! We don’t need fancy things to have fun.”
“Says the glamper...” I replied, getting in the left side. “This is weird.”
“I have to agree with you there. I've gotten quite used to the right side.” Luke smiled.
A gorgeous, cold, drive later, we pulled up to a small picnic in the woods. Luke had everything set up. The blanket on the green grass, the basket full of food, and several more blankets to stay warm.
“So I packed your favorites, because I know you’re too picky to enjoy their breakfast foods.”
“Excuse me!” I scoffed with a smile.
Luke fell backwards laughing, “Don’t pretend you aren’t picky.”
“I am offended.” I crossed my arms.
“So porridge and seafood of sorts sounds good to you?”
“Yuck! No.”
We both laughed. Luke pulled out pancakes and fruit.
“I figured meat wouldn’t survive, so fruit it is.”
“Oh boy. Being healthy. What has gotten into us?” I joked.
The sunrise here was more beautiful than anywhere else Luke and I had ever been together. As it came up, it broke through the trees and warmed my skin. I leaned back on the blanket and took the scenery in.
“Did I do okay?” Luke asked, taking the last bite of his fruit.
“Better than okay. This is amazing.”
Luke leaned back with me as though he was trying to tan. I let out a giggle. He smiled out of the corner of his mouth.
“Luke.”
“Riley.”
“I know we think all is said and done, but is there anything more you want to know?”

Luke’s P.O.V.

My heart raced when Riley asked her question.
“Of course there’s more I want to know, but I don’t want to ruin this.”
“Ask away. Really. You were completely open with me, it’s only fair.”
“Did you love him?” I asked.
She smiled, sitting up, “My heart has always belonged to you. I know I always said you don’t do that to someone you love, but maybe you do because you’ve lost your way. I have a special place in my heart for Ashton, but no, I did not love him.”
“How many times did you go to him about me, or us?”
“Everyday for about 2 years.”
I could feel my stomach in my throat. Her words, although kind, pierced me like knives.
“Were you sad when it ended?”
“I was more sad that I could’ve ruined my friendship with him, more than anything.”
“Are you guys actually good friends still?”
She chuckled, “Yes. We truly act like it never happened.”
“Do you know if he ever loved you?”
She paused, “I don’t.”
I could tell her mood was changing, “Was he better in bed than me?” I laughed.
“Luke!” she burst.
“I had to cut the tension.” I beamed, thinking I was hilarious.
“We are done here.” she continued laughing.
“Ready to see the glampgrounds?”
“Yes please.” she spoke, getting up and holding a hand out for me.

Riley’s P.O.V.

We drove into another woodsy area and I had to pinch myself, to make sure it was real. Glass igloo like tents lined the drive. I had only ever seen pictures.
“If this is glamping, I may never leave.” I gasped.
“We don’t have to.” Luke smiled, pulling into a driveway next to one.
Luke and I walked up to the beautiful wood door and with a hefty push he got the door open. Inside had a small restroom, kitchenette, and a table with chairs, next to the large bed. I set my suitcase aside and sat on the bed.
“Wow.” I exhaled, taking in the sky.
“Just wait til night fall. I hear you can see the northern lights.” he smiled, packing our things into a small dresser.
“Luke.”
“Riley.” he chuckled, knowing I’m curious.
“Have you ever- um- done this with--”
“Anyone else? No. You are the first and last. I promise.”
I let out a sigh of relief.
“Now, get in you sexy bikini and stop wasting daylight.” he called.
“Where are we going?”
“Just change.” he demanded.
“Just to be clear, your dominance is hot.”
Luke blushed and looked at me with his ocean blue eyes. “Wait until later.” he winked, pressing me gently against the door to the bathroom and kissing me softly. I felt a rush of hormones going through my body, and went weak at the knees. He smiled as he pulled away and waited for me to change.
--
Luke and I walked hand in hand to a nearby lake. Everything about this place felt like a scene from a movie. The mountains created a barrier of tranquility and the water was a gorgeous blue-green. Cabins lined the trees here and there, making it feel homey. We stepped in slowly, to be surprised at the warm temperature. A small row boat approached us with a stack of inner tubes. “Inner tube?” the man asked. We both nodded and took one each. As we got into each of them, Luke and I both struggled to get in. After laughing it off we went under the water and slid in.
“This is too good to be true.” I smiled, laying in the tube.
“You’re telling me. I have the girl of my dreams back, and I’m in a beautiful place I’ve never been.”
“I never said I was yours again.” I blushed.
“I like to think you are.”
“You know, eventually you’ll have to ask me.”
“Eventually. We’ll see if I like you long enough.”
“Hey!” I yelled, then attempted to flip him over, but took us both down.
After surfacing Luke and I had a splashing war until we couldn’t breathe laughing.
“You’re amazing.” I breathed heavily.
Luke just smiled, picking me up bridal style and carrying me out of the water.

Luke’s P.O.V.

Riley and I changed before heading out on a hike.
“Do you even know where our destination is?” she beamed.
“Adventure is getting lost along the way.” I replied back to here.
“I just feel like we’re lost and you won’t admit it.”
“Are not.” I argued.
“Are too.”
“Noooo. We’re supposed to be.... Right... Here.” I determined.
“Hmm.” she hummed.
“Trust me.”
Ry shrugged her shoulders and took a seat next to me on the top of the mountain.
“Best place to see the sunset?” she questioned.
“Anywhere I watch a sunset with you is the best place to see one.”
“You have hit a low with the cheeseball comments.”
“I’m just trying to swoon you again.”
“Luke Hemmings. I fell for you at age 1. You don’t have to do anything other than look at me with with your blue eyes and smile. We could be poor and not go on anymore glamping trips, and I would still love you.”
My heart skipped a beat. She said it, she really said it.
She rested her head on my shoulder and I put my arm around her back.
“I’d still love you too.”

@Kat21
I'll never argue with more of your writing for me to indulge in :D as long as there is some happiness for Luke and Riley eventually then I'm happy.. <3

@Prinny1321
I promise to give them 5 minutes of happiness.... BUT I think it'll be in a prequel so we can really fall in love with them.... AND THEN a sequel so I don't just leave you hanging on her being pregnant... Thoughts? :)
