*Present day*

Riley’s P.O.V.

I woke up to a warm embrace.
“Riley.”
“Hmm.” I smiled rolling over. “Hunter. You’re home!” I quickly hugged him.
“I thought I would surprise you.”
“Good job.” I chuckled.
“I figured we could get a lot of planning done before I have to go on my next trip.”
“What’s your rush?” I nudged him playfully.
“I just want to call you my wife.”
There was a knock at that door. “Sorry to interrupt.” Sarah smiled in the doorway. “It’s like noon, and the-- Ashton wants to know if we’re still on for lunch?”
“I could go for some lunch.” Hunter spoke.
“Uh- Would Ashton be okay with..?”
“There’s only one way to find out. Meet you next door in 10?” Sarah asked, I nodded.
I quickly got ready, throwing my hair in a messy bun and putting on the nearest clothes.
“Where’d you get that shirt?” Hunter asked.
I looked down at the red flannel. “Um, I’ve had it a while. I’m not really sure why I haven’t worn it lately.
“It’s cute, a little big though.”
I half-smiled and walked downstairs.
*Last Night*
“Ry, are you cold?” Luke asked as everyone fell asleep around the fire.
“A little.”
“Here.” Luke took off our favorite red flannel and laid it over my shoulders.
“Thanks.”
We sat in silence for a few minutes before I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Will you walk me home?”
Luke grinned, “You don’t have to ask me twice.”
Luke walked me all the way to my room and laid on the bed with me.
“Do you ever think about us?” he asked.
“All the time.” I blurted.
“So why get married to the wrong guy?”
“Maybe he’s not the wrong guy. He’s a good guy Lukas.”
“I’ve never loved anyone like I love you.”
“Except, when you love someone... You don’t cheat.” I replied.
*2 1/2 years ago*
Riley’s P.O.V.
Twitter was filled with tweets about Arzaylea cheating on Luke at Coachella, but how could she be cheating on someone that was with me? They had been in the media for awhile, but I refused to believe it... Until now. I jumped on the next flight out to confront him. The distance was bad enough, but if you can’t even be faithful... What’s the point?
When I got to his hotel he couldn’t even give me a reason to stay with him.
“One chance, Luke. One more. I’m done. You don’t do this to somebody you love.”
“I know, Riley. I know. I won’t ever-”
“Don’t.” I scowled. He nodded.
He ran his hands through his hair and cupped his face in his hands. “I am so sorry.”
“I know.” I sighed, holding him.
*Present day*
Luke’s P.O.V.

I opened my front door to see Riley... and Hunter.
“Hi.” I sighed.
“Nice to see you again.” Hunter spoke, holding out his hand for a shake. We shook and I let them in.
“You too. Hi Riley.”
“Hi.” She smiled.
“Nice shirt.”
She blushed.
“I told her I really liked it too, but doesn’t it seem big for her?” Hunter chuckled.
“It’s a personal favorite for me.” I smirked, Riley let out a laugh. Hunter looked confused, but moved on to the rest of the boys.
“Trying to tease me or taunt me?” I whispered in her ear. She smiled and kept walking.
“So this is Michael, Calum, and Ashton.” Sarah introduced Hunter to everyone.
“Nice to meet you all.” he smiled, shaking each of their hands.
“Geez, Ry. He’s too nice.” I whispered.
“Oh stop.” she shoved playfully.
“Riley?” Hunter asked, she quickly turned serious.
“Hmm?”
“Ready to head to lunch?”
“Actually, we’re going to laser tag. There are concessions though.” I interrupted.
They both turned to me with completely different reactions, “What?”
“Yeah, Ry! We missed how much fun we used to have so we wanted to go back.” Michael smiled.
“Ry?” Hunter questioned her.
“They barely call me Riley.” she replied to Hunter, then turned back to the boys, “Let’s go!”
I chuckled to myself, Hunter is so out of place it hurts.

Riley’s P.O.V.

We pulled up to this old, practically abandoned laser tag that the boys and I all used to come to.
“Wow. This brings back memories.” I sighed.
“No kidding.” Sarah replied.
“Like?” Hunter asked.
One thing I’ve never really done is open up to Hunter about Luke, or any of 5SOS really.
“When we first came here, when the albums got picked up, Riley made us all feel like we were at home. She always wanted to do these weird boy things with us, just to make us forget we were literally a day away from home.”
I blushed, the boys smiled. “Oh stop. Unless you plan on telling him how I always kicked your butts.” I smirked.
“Oh sweetie” Luke put his arm across my shoulders “We used to let you win. Prepare to lose.” he let me loose and walked in.
“Has he always been that.. Hands on?” Hunter asked me.
“He’s just used to having his best friend. Sorry.”

“BOOM. BITCHES.” I yelled in victory.
“Yeah, yeah, I was never good at this.” Sarah replied, taking the gear off.
“Touche.” I laughed.
“I think you cheated.” Cal joined in.
“That’s not my style.”
Sarah shot me a glare.
“Now what?” Ashton asked.
“I think I want some alone time with Riley.” Hunter spoke.
“Try not to keep her away again.” Ash joked, but with a lot of seriousness.
“Got it?” Hunter replied, taking my hand.
“So how’d you like it?” I asked as we got in the car.
“I felt really out of place, honestly. I didn’t realize you were all still so close.”
“The boys are overly attached.”
“I saw.”
“Is there a problem?”
“I’ve been gone just over a week and I don’t even know you anymore.”
“Excuse me?” I scoffed.
“They call you Ry. You used to cry if I called you that. They treat you like a long lost sister. And Luke... Don’t get me started on Luke.”
“Then don’t.”
“What?” he asked.
“Don’t talk about Luke. Or any of them for that matter. Maybe you just don’t get it.”
“Don’t get what? How madly in love with Luke you still are, or how madly in love with you he still is?”
I shut down.
“Riley. I’m--”
“Don’t say you’re sorry. You’re not.”
We pulled up to the house and I immediately got out of the car and ran for my spot.
“Riley!” Hunter called out, but I just kept running.

I stopped at the rock in the woods, out of breath.
“Hey.” I heard from behind me.
“Luke?”
“Riley.”
