Lie To Me

Soon we met the boys at the amusement park and they looked ready to go. Remember the ‘Try Hard’ video? That’s how I picture our day going.
The boys immediately ran for the plane swings. There was surprisingly enough for each one of us to have our own. After far too many rides on that the boys agreed to get off and immediately ran for the rollercoaster.
“Dibs on Sarah.” Ashton called.
“I’ve got Crystal.” Michael smiled.
“Dibs on Riley.” Luke smirked.
“Aw, c’mon. I don’t want to ride alone.” Cal complained.
“Go make a fan’s day.” I joked, but he took it literally and ran out to find one.
Soon Cal was back in line. “I have a ride buddy!”
“Hi.” the girl blushed in front of all the boys.
“This is Emma.” Cal blushed.
“I’m a huge fan.” she gushed, we all chuckled a bit.
“Welcome.” I said.
“Oh my gosh, are you and Luke back together? You guys are my OTP.”
Luke and I looked at each other and giggled. “No, Riley is still my best friend though.”
I immediately turned to Luke and he glanced at me from the corner of his eye.
“Next.” The ride operator said.
“Ready for the ride of your life?” Luke asked.

*11 months ago*

“Ready for the ride of your life?” Hunter asked.
“Is that what this is?”
“I’d like to think this is the start of something great.” he smiled.
“You mean the roller-coaster right?”
He shrugged, still smiling. He held my hand as the ride took off.
At the end of the ride I turned to Hunter. “I think I am ready for the ride of a lifetime.”
Hunter smiled, leaning in for a kiss. It was the best kiss we had so far, and so distracting we got stuck on for another ride.

*Present day*

I just smiled at Luke.
“You gave me the ride of a lifetime. You know that right?”
The ride began moving before he responded.
After far too many rides on the coaster, we finally got off.
“I can’t feel my legs.” I laughed.
“Me neither.” Luke chuckled.
“How about we all split up to get some food?” Ashton suggested.
“Sure.” Everyone replied.
Luke and I wandered off to the hot-dog stand just across the way.
“Emma seems nice.” he spoke, taking a huge bite.
I laughed, “You like her cause she ships us.”
“Maybe.” he spoke, with a full mouth.
“Were we doomed from the start?” I asked.
“I don’t think so.” he replied. “I just think the timing fell apart.”
“I’ve never liked time.” I chuckled, so did he.
After a moment I asked, “Not to sound like I’m not enjoying the good old days, why are you guys staying in one place for so long?”
Luke swallowed, “We’re taking a hiatus. We had that really long break and all really enjoyed it. Don’t get me wrong, we love performing and our fans, but we’re looking to settle down too.”
I nodded, “Am I really still your best friend?”
“Ry... We’ve grown up together. You’ve always been my best friend. I still love you.”
“You do?”
“Isn’t it obvious?”
“A little.” I blushed.
“I want you to be happy. I just wish it was with me.”
Me too.
“Guys! We have to go on the tower drop!” Ashton whined.
“Ready to see that hot-dog again?” Luke joked.
“No!” I yelled laughing.

We made it home and Hunter was asking for a facetime.
“Can you all behave? I have a call to answer.” Everyone nodded and stayed quiet in the background. I still stepped into another room.
“Hey.” I smiled.
“Hey you. What are you doing?”
“I have some friends over...”
“Oh?”
“Remember how I said Sarah and Ashton were a thing? Well Crystal and Michael are a thing and they’re over.”
“So you have your ex there too?” I looked around, “Riley...”
“He and Cal are here too.”
“Ah.”
“Hi Hunter!” Sarah yelled, so I flipped the camera.
“Hello everyone!” Hunter replied, then I flipped the camera back.
“Is Luke the blonde?”
“Yeah, why?”
“He stopped me the other day before I left. He moved to town.”
“What? Are you sure?”
“Positive. I told him to hang out with us if he needed friends. I didn’t know it’d be without me there.”
“Well don’t worry it’s not--”
“Don’t finish that sentence with ‘like that’ I know what having history is like.” Hunter cut me off.
“Hunter.”
“I’m gonna get to bed. Night, Riley.”
The facetime ended.
“Luke!” I called.
“Yeah?” He replied, coming into the kitchen.
“We need to talk.” I angrily stated, walking outside. “You moved back here?”
“Yeah...”
“And you confronted my fiance the day after showing up on my doorstep?”
“I wouldn’t say confronted..”
“Luke Robert.”
“Okay, okay. Maybe.”
“Lukas... Why are you doing this? What is your end goal?”
“You.”
“What?”
“You are my end goal. I want you back.”
“I’m engaged, Luke! To be married! To another man!”
“I know... I bought the dress for that other man’s wedding.”
“Excuse me?”
“I bought everything at the mall the other day, cause it made you happy. I bought the dress and had it shipped out here cause I knew you would see it and remember how much you loved it. I overheard Sarah telling you about the appointment, so I made sure it was there. For you!”
“Luke.”
“Don’t you get it, Ry? I’m trying to make up for all the things I messed up. I just want you happy, but God! I would kill to call you mine again.”
Something overcame me and I crashed my lips into Luke’s. We didn’t stop there. I pulled his hand and dragged him around the back. I climbed the vines up to my bedroom. I pulled myself through the window and Luke followed. I locked the door and shut the window. Everyone downstairs had the music up too loud to hear us.
“This should be our house, our room, our life. You ruined that, Luke.”
“Let me make it up to you. Let me in, Riley.”
“I want to, Luke! I do. I miss you so much. I miss us, but I moved on!”
“No you didn’t.” He sternly replied, pushing me against the wall.
“Kiss me.” I breathed, so he did.
I ripped of my clothes and his.
“Luke.” I moaned.
“Riley.” He moaned in reply.
“Fuck me like I’m yours again.”
He held my hands to the bed and continued to thrust.
“I don’t just want to fuck you. I want to make love to you, over and over again.”
“We have all night.” I breathed, pulling him in for a kiss.
“I love you Riley.” Luke moaned
It was so out of habit that I responded, “I love you too.”
