For Your Eyes Only

So me thinking picking between Niall and Harry would be easy, how stupid could I be. I had the perfect date with both of them. What am I supposed to do I cannot lead them both on, even though they say take your time the longer I take the more feelings get involved. It has been a week since Harry’s date and luckily for me I have really been swamped at work. Meetings were just getting out of control Liam tried to help but they have been busy working on their new album so we have all been really busy. Back at work Monday morning and I was already landed with a load of paper work, my dad phoned me this morning saying they were staying away for another month see he was due back next week. So another month running the studio not that I minded I just didn’t realise how many meeting I would have to go through. Liam came up to see if I wanted to go for lunch but today as Kevin was taking over for the afternoon I took this as my shot to go home and I was determined to finish my mums song. I mean I have all these emotions right now what better time is there than now to right this song. Getting home I checked the whole house and only the cleaners were in which was great news to me. I got changed and then grabbed my songbook and scrap pieces of paper I had the first and second verse done it was only the last verse needed and then just putting it all together. I scribbled a few ideas down and nothing was making sense or sounding right, I needed to change the tempo slightly. Doing this I was able to think of lyrics a bit better and which actually explained exactly how I felt.

It was missing something I had a pause between each line I just needed something simple to fit in. I needed to see how I feel, wait feel why not just use that word that could work.

Without even thinking the words left my mouth and it was exactly howI felt and was such a great fit. So all there was left to do now was sing it all together.

As I finished my song I sighed with relief it was exactly what I wanted, I looked around and no one was listening, which was great. I closed up my songbook and took the scrap pieces of paper as I walked out of the room and headed up to my bedroom feeling really proud of myself. The first person I call is Jade excited to tell her the news.
‘Hey girl so listen I’m dropping out of Uni
Woah what why
I really hate it here does your offer still stand?
Of course it does but are you sure you want to do this

I took my songbook and paper with me wanting to play to Jade, running down the stairs I soon opened the door to reveal Jade standing there with all her bags. With a quick hug and giving her bags to one of the workers to take up I decided to just drag her in to the music room.
“Olivia what’s going on?”
“I finished the song”
“You did oh that’s great can I hear it?”
“Sure that is why I brought you here take a seat”
As she took a seat I placed my hands on the keys and started playing mine and my mum’s song. I was nervous because Jade is the only one around at the moment who listened to my mums music and she would always be speechless. As the song came to an end I couldn’t even look at Jade I knew if there was anyone to say my mum would be proud of this song it I would only believe it from Jade or my dad.
“That was beautiful oh my god Livy”
I finally looked up to meet her eyes and tears were falling instantly causing tears to fall down my face. nothing was said as we were both just a mess, but as we calmed down and laughed the tears off she looked straight in to my eyes.
“Your mother would of loved this song, you have so done her proud Livy”
“You really think so?”
“Oh I know so that was just unbelievable your back”
“Thank you Jade”
“Jade your back? What’s going on in here?”
We both looked around to see Liam talking and the other guys looking in, I panic I quickly grabbed my songbook and papers and stood up getting ready to leave.
“I dropped out of Uni and Livy said I can stay also she just completed her-“
“Shh nothing I was just messing around that was all”
“No you weren’t she finally finished her song her mum wanted her to write”
“Really well can we hear it sis?”
“Urmm can I show you another time please”
“Of course whenever you want we will listen”
Everyone just nodded I avoided looking at Harry and Niall and just pushed past them all heading up to my room once again. It wasn’t long though until I had a knock on my door I didn’t know out of the two though who it would be.
“Who is it?”
“Niall can I come in?”
“Sure”
He walked in closing the door behind him then started to walk towards my bed taking a place just opposite me. I didn’t know what to say to him so I decided just to wait for him to speak first.
“Livy I was just wondering well me and Harry actually have you been avoiding us?”
“Urmm not on purpose I mean we are all so busy at the moment you guys with the album me at work I only got the afternoon of today because Kevin said he didn’t mind taking over”
“Yeah I get that but like when we watch a film as a group you just sit by yourself or leave when one of us comes near you”
“I’m sorry”
“Have I done something to upset you or annoy you?”
“No not at all it’s just me I’m worried”
“About what?”
“I had such a great time with you and Harry and I’m worried that I don’t know who I should pick. I don’t want to lead either of you guys on in any way and I don’t want to upset or hurt anyone”
“it will be alright I mean we are both cool with you seeing the other guy to try and figure out who you want. Heck you might not even want any of us when it comes to it but you have got to know me and Harry have gone in to this knowing what is going to happen”
“Yeah but it’s not fair is it”
“When is anything fair anymore babe, come on you win some you lose some and babe no matter what you will still be a best friend to both of us”
“Do you mean that?”
“Absolutely and I’m not just saying that because you are Liam’s sister”
“Haha nice thank you Niall”
“No problem now you going to come down watch a film and sit in-between me and Harry we promise we won’t try anything we just miss your company”
“Ok fine come on then”
“Good oh and by the way I’m so proud of you for finishing the song by what Jade has said it’s beautiful and I can’t wait to hear it”
“Thank you”
I know he said he wasn’t going to try anything but after that how could I not kiss him I pulled him closer in to me and placed a light gentle kiss on to his lips. It was only short but we still managed to pull away with grins on our faces. Walking down I did just as Niall asked and took a seat in between Harry and Niall. Popcorn was passed round and drinks were flowing and Niall and Harry kept to their word and didn’t try anything. It was just a perfect night filled with pointless chitchat and laughter. Niall went up to bed first as he promised he would skype his mum tonight then Liam and Jade went followed by Zayn and Louis which left me and Harry alone in the cinema room.
“So I’m not really tired do you want to watch another film”
“Yeah something funny though please Harry”
“And what do you class as funny”
“I really like Adam Sandler”
“Hmm same how about Blended”
“Perfect”
He put the film on and then came back over I pulled the blanket up a bit more but I couldn’t get comfy. It felt weird just sitting beside Harry when it was just me and him I know he promised not try anything but surly a little cuddle shouldn’t be off the tables. So I took his arm and draped it over me cuddling in to his side with no hesitation he pulled me in closer planting a soft kiss on my head. We laughed throughout the film and would have little conversations here and there. Before I knew it though the film was finished and it was time to say goodnight, walking to our doors I paused for a second and faced him he was nearly asleep just standing so I made this really quick. I stepped forward and gave him a soft kiss on the lips whispering goodnight to him to soon see him just walk in to his room. These boys are definitely going to be the death of me the way this is going how am I meant to choose between them. Impossible.

Normal routine today get up shower dress and then head to work only difference about today though was Jade was tagging along. She was going to work beside me today and I will find her a job somewhere within the studio that would suit her best. Of course she was really excited thinking she was going to see loads of celebrities but when you are stuck in an office all day you don’t really see anyone. Anyway so work it was all going fine Jade was doing really well helping me, just after lunch my assistant pops in to talk to me only to just hand over her notice due to her moving. Now I would call this a coincidence and Jade called it pure fate saying this was signal showing she did the right thing to leave and wants to take on the role as the assistant. I didn’t mind I did explain I won’t always be her boss as my dad would be back as boss but also I didn’t mind as I didn’t have to now do any interviews.
“This is great I get to work with you every day I know I am your assistant but we can still you know chat and have fun right?”
“Of course Jade how else am I meant to make it through the day”
“Good point so do you know who you like more yet?”
“Not a clue to be honest I am so tempted just to say no to both so it saves any awkwardness or upset”
“But they would both be upset if you got with one of them only one would be upset”
“Yeah but, I don’t know it’s all still weird for me”
“You have improved so much you are not shutting anyone out ok”
“Yes I know and I won’t shut anyone out I just mean why did both of them have to be interested”
“Because you teased them both you got greedy girl”
“Yeah and now I’m paying for it”
“How are they about the whole situation?”
“Surprisingly alright with it they keep telling me not to worry they knew what they got themselves in to so I should just carry on as normal”
“So why don’t you just carry on like you were?”
“You know why because I actually have feelings for them both like real true strong feelings it takes the fucking fun out of carrying on as normal”
“I understand that, anyway let’s talk about something else like Luke’s birthday party this weekend did you get the message?”
“Yeah I saw it but I didn’t read it properly been working too much to notice”
“Well we will invite the lads and just have a good night”
“You got something planned haven’t you Jade?”
“Well ok so this party I was thinking we could test how Niall and Harry feel about you, you don’t pull and see out of the two who doesn’t pull either and gives you the attention”
“Sounds good but doubt it would work”
“Why?”
“Olivia and alcohol I will be pulling someone so we will see”
“Yeah alcohol speaks the truth so whoever you go for first out of the two is who you want more”
“Hmm maybe, anyway we have got to get back to work”
“Ok”
The day wasn’t too long with Jade around it actually went by really quickly as we got home the lads were out for a management meeting meal so me and Jade cooked some pasta and chicken followed by just having an early night in. I got to my room and there was a piece of paper folded up on my pillow.
‘I forgot to tell you yesterday and I most probably won’t see you tonight but I wanted to let you know how proud I am of you for finishing the song I know it is going to sound perfect.

Why does Harry and Niall have to be so damn perfect this is truly making me go crazy. I moved the note to my side table and just tucked myself up in bed and just dreamed of anything that popped in to mind and of course all that was on my mind was Niall and Harry.
